If you're looking for flavorful, fresh vegetarian food served with genuine warmth, this is your place. We ordered a salad and a dessert, and both were spectacular. The salad was truly delicious—far from basic, featuring vibrant, fresh ingredients that were perfectly balanced. But the real star, flavor-wise, was the presentation and taste of the meal as a whole. “We stayed two nights (Autumn Dinner Bed and Breakfast package) in a beautiful clean, quiet room. Breakfast and dinner menu offered plenty of options. Each of our meals was nicely presented and tasty. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and chatty. “Called in here after we were unable to get a booking anywhere near by on Easter Sunday (we started off on the Strangford side) We were able to walk in and get a table for 4 - the food was absolutely incredible and really fairly priced for the quality. However, the lasagne felt a bit heavy on the cheese and could have benefited from a few more layers of pasta. Despite this minor quibble, I'd still recommend Villa Vinci for a pleasant meal out.”

First thing let's talk about the steak it was hands down the best steak that our steak orderer has had in his opinion in 50 plus years of eating them. From the quality of the meat to the perfection of a medium rare cooking the steak was a certainly no trick but instead a treat for the taste buds. The Chicken Curry was a moreish, creamy flavor explosion with a mild comforting hug on the heat scale and well prepared boiled rice that complimented the dish.”

“I’ve not had better tacos outside of Mexico and San Diego. These are proper - no Tex Mex nonsense. Delicious. And everything on the menu is gluten-free. I don’t understand the complaints about the size. For tacos, these are pretty big. They’re not starter size. I had beef tacos and half a portion of the nachos and that did me - and I’m a bit of a pig. Sure, they’re not cheap, but they are value for money because you’re getting quality. Lovely bunch of people too. The one downside is it’s only open four days a week.”

“Would recommend 100% We were staying at Greenhill YMCA in Newcastle with a youth group. They gave us advice on how many pizzas for 35 people and we ordered 16 12inch pizzas. Great value for money. They were mixed, pepperoni and cheese. The pizzas were delivered to us, on time and hot. The kids and adults enjoyed every bite. Excellent service. Owner and staff go above and beyond 5 ☆”

“We'd booked for 6.30 on Saturday and we're initially confused as the ground floor is a large and not particularly lovely bar. The stairs to the first floor restaurant were discovered and things got much better from thereon. The tables are well spaced, the ambience is pleasant and sufficiently lit, (I hate dark restaurants), the service was swift and friendly, but the star of the show, as it should be, was the food. My wife had the battered cod with chips and all the trimmings in very generous proportions. Delicious. I had one of my favourite dishes, beef cheek with mash and root veg. It was astonishingly good, probably the best I have eaten. The slow cooked cheek had more flavour than fillet steak and a texture that exactly hit the spot that makes this dish so unctuous. It was a huge portion and I savoured every mouthful. As an astonishing surprise we found that The Mariner restaurant was doing a buy one get one free promotion. This has to be our best ever value restaurant meal, but more than that was the quality of the food. Next time we're over in Co. Down we will definitely revisit this unbelievably good place.”
