Fantastic dining experience after my first visit to my ancestral roots in Newcastle. My Whiskey Sour was perfect! We started with mussels, which were spectacular. My mates had seafood chowder that was flavorful and chuck full of a lovely mix of fish; chili squid that included an authentic Vietnamese side salad; and the grilled lobster with a savory Njuna (sp?) sauce. My sole filet was an absolute true delight!

We really enjoyed our Friday night dinner here with friends. The food was so tasty and affordable with great variety. We got a lot of different dishes that were all really good, oysters, risotto, linguine, sea bass..The atmosphere is great too. One thing that let it down was how long it took to get served our food. We were 30 minutes seated before getting a drink, an hour before getting a starter and overall we spent close to three hours before we finished because the service was slow with food coming out. It was hard to even get water. I don’t blame the staff - they were lovely and really competent. It seemed like a management issue where they were understaffed. They apologised at the very end, clearly aware of the issue, but they really should have given us at least a coffee or 10% discount to reflect this, which would have been fair. Hopefully the restaurant see this and make changes or empower the staff to react when there are issues. Yet, I notice this appears to be pattern from some other reviews.

Great seafood place. This was our first real meal during this trip to Northern Ireland. It's some of the best food I've had so far. The salmon curry had so much flavor. The seafood chowder was perfect. You could tell the cook was well trained and to care to make these dishes. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

If you want fresh and tasty fish and chips this place is a must. We went with another family and all loved it. I had the scampi which was extremely fresh and in a light batter. We also had the peri peri squid which was delicious. There are non fish options good with a kids menu. The kids breaded chicken tenders were very good. There’s a lovely warm fire in the first room and also plenty of bigger tables for larger parties in the other room. We also enjoyed the Chablis which went extremely well with the fish. Worth the treat!

Superb lunch in the restaurant, enjoying the space, laid back atmosphere and great food. We were a group of 6, with 3 kids in tow. Staff fantastic with the kids, and they loved the food and colouring in sheets. The risotto, fish and chips and mussels all spot on.

Excellent and speedy service. The staff were fantastic. Great alcohol selection. The fish and chips were excellent! Very tasty! The chips and mushy peas were great! Lovely presentation. The sticky toffee pudding however did contain cinnamon which we did not like. Will return and recommend to everyone.
