Average quality food (lunch), long delays between courses, got the order wrong, unfriendly counter staff but floor staff were good - especially at apologising. Nice views of the river/sea of the windows were cleaned. Emergency exit sign obscured.

I tried the loaded wedges which were very good. Followed by a decaf latte and carrot cake. Divine.

The staff are so kind, considerate and prompt when taking orders, and were very attentive the whole time. The cafe was busy when we arrived but despite this we were sat and served fairly quickly. The food was lovely and very filling, would definitely recommend!!

Sorry to say but I won't be returning here in a hurry. 2nd time in a few years we've stopped for lunch on a day out. Last time was 2 years ago, toasties weren't nice and tasted of hand sanitizer, the kids wouldn't eat them and I dont blame them. Yesterday we decided to gove it another go. The girl on the till wasn't unpleasant but very robotic. (It wasnt extremely busy) Having worked in hospitality i would always appreciate even a 'hello' at the till when ordering. But not the case. The cutlery is in a table behind you as you order at the till, it wasnt particularly clean looking and I spent a few minutes back at our table cleaning it down with a napkin. I ordered a sausage roll and they are a decent size but the top was verging on dark brown to black and I had to completely remove it. The sausage roll itself was underwhelming. It was served with a few leaves and balsamic to garnish. My kids again tried the toasties and just didn't enjoy them at all. No garnish on the plates, a decent bit of ham hock through the toasties but very little cheese. My friend got a panini which had very little ham and a lot of cheese. The food basically looks thrown together and isn't very nice unfortunately. My coffee was nice (a caramel latte) So maybe if you are stopping for coffee and cake you would have a more enjoyable experience however, I couldn't reccomend it for a light bite/lunch.

Great ice cream, service was quick and very friendly and the location is great. Also the ice cream scoops were massive so big plus points for that.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, place was really busy but the staff worked quickly trying to seat us. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating! Really went above and beyond to make our visit as enjoyable as possible! Would highly recommend!

The ice cream really is the best there is...I should know...I've tried most! However, the eat-in area is overpriced and underwhelming. We ordered tea for 2, 2 hot chocolate, 2 cakes and a small, 2 scoop of ice cream and it cost £26. Maybe I'm out of touch, but I was shocked. The cheesecake(which was unexpectedly a baked one) was average, but the chocolate cake was very good, I'm told. I also find it strangely 'up itself',( a vibe from staff and management), Perhaps a bit entitled due to its prime location Honestly, stick with just ice cream or a variety of the same (sundaes, etc) and you'll not go far wrong. Oh and there was a fabulous girl who served us takeaway ice cream the previous week. Soooo helpful and Friendly, I wish I'd remembered her name
