Beautiful park with stunning views around the lake, great walks perfect for walking the dogs, sight seeing or going for a run, very dog friendly, definitely worth a visit or 2 so much to see and do, mountain biking trails are well kept like all the paths, plenty of parking

It's a truly beautiful place for a day out. It boasts amazing natural beauty, surrounded by mountains. There's also a lovely lake and a castle nearby. Additionally, the peace maze would be great for kids to explore.

We stayed at the campsite here for one night and really enjoyed it. It's a well kept site with good toilet and shower facilities although the toilets were a little bit of a distance from our pitch. The setting is fantastic with lovely scenery, nice forest walks and a large lake with a big castle on the hill overlooking the lake. From the campsite it's a short 10 min walk into the town where you have a supermarket, pubs, food outlets, coffe shops etc. We will be back for a longer stay in the near future and will probably bring bicycles and kayaks to make more use of the facilities here. There's a maze and play area's for kids to enjoy and plenty of space to run around. Definitely worth a visit.

I spent a lot of my time at this place back in 2010 and I must say it's magical but I prefer tollymore forest park to it. It's still amazing with beautiful scenery and walks. The lake is beautiful to walk around and the maze is fun. Great place to relax in nature!

Excellent forest for walking and mountain biking. A variety of easy and moderate trails with beautiful views of the Mourne Mountains.

A large and pleasant Forest Park with plenty of things to do for walkers, families and sports enthusiasts. The walking trails range from the gentle (the Lakeside Walk) to the strenuous ( Slievenaslat and the Boundary trails). The views from Slievenaslat and from above The Moorish Tower can be spectacular on a clear day and make the effort to get there worthwhile. Car parking is £5 which is a bit expensive in my opinion although free car parking is available in the town itself. The car park itself is large. There are lots of picnic benches with toilets nearby. Overall this place is worth visiting if you are in the area.

Great facilities at this park. unfortunately if you only wish to park and have a walk you are still charged £5 for parking. Feel that the charge should be directed towards the many mountain bikers, fishermen and aqua enthusiasts who monopolise the facilities. I understand that this was a charge introduced by the former minister for Agriculture. Perhaps it should be reviewed.
