“Great selection of activities that span the arts. Lovely staff great location.”
“A beautiful quiet apt. Anyone would be happy to stay. Its got everything any person could wish for.”
“Loads of information on what to do and where to go in this beautiful area. Well worth a visit!”
“Excellent spot. Plenty of local goods. Very friendly staff. 5 stars”
“The food was lovely here today .Dirty loaded fries were delicious. My son had the wings and he loved them. The man worked there even offered to bring it over to our car as it was raining heavily.”
“Very helpful staff. It has everything I need and what im looking for.”
“Brilliant hike from OTT car park. Accessible with laid out paths. Ground is mild underfoot with angular rocks. From ott walk toward the Mourne wall, then Doan is found behind. Great views over silent valley and lough shannagh. A 30ft rougher hike to the summit which might not suit all hikers. Doan is great for all ages. We spent 6 hours enjoying the trails and views, good access to the other nearby peaks following the Mourne wall.”
“We were a family of 15, we all had a great tome outside space was amazing”
“A real old fashioned Irish pub with great history which makes for brilliant atmosphere and good crack, there's even claims that its the oldest pub in Ireland. It also holds Whiskey tasting from local distilleries which must be book in advance due to its demand. Highly recommend this wee pub.”
“Prepare yourself with the right walking shoes, a picnic lunch, jackets in case you get cold. Tons of places for a picnic lunch. Great little magic moments throughout. Lots of views and sounds of streams and rivers. Some small plaques explaining the history pieces. Fantastic assortment of large tree varieties, wish they had the botanical scientific names in front of many of the species as they are very unique.”
“Nice park for a walk, with different level routes. There is playground for children so everybody is happy ;) Also you can get coffee and some food and they have toilets. I was here socond and not the last time. Enjoy the walk and don't miss the black routr as we did ;)”
“We stayed two nights (Autumn Dinner Bed and Breakfast package) in a beautiful clean, quiet room. Breakfast and dinner menu offered plenty of options. Each of our meals was nicely presented and tasty. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and chatty. Special thanks to Catriona in the dining room who pleasantly tolerated and met our requests. ☺️”
“This is a beautiful boardwalk out to the beach..one word of warning..check to go at low tide! We arrived at high tide and had a very uncomfortable stony walk towards Newcastle. This had to be abandoned as the tide was so high, it was up against the steep stony boulders bordering the golf course.”
“It’s one of those places where you choose your tree. If you are a bit more adventurous, then venture into the adjacent woodland and enjoy absolute quiet and wild. Follow the trail and hiking paths but watch out for mountain bikers.”
“Nice atmosphere! Great nature. Peace maze is amazing”
“Very lovely beach. Wide and deep. Brilliant views from the coast. Small playground by the car park. Car park it self is small with spaces for maybe 15 cars but more parking opportunities along the ciast. Clean, tidy, well kept. There's a wee coffee trailer at the car park but it closes at 5pm and very often they only take cash. In all very good place to chill and relax if the weather permits.”
“This place is incredible. The menu is unbelievable... The menu iis what you would hope for at a great place to eat, but it is a takeaway... ... Although as a takeaway there are also a few bar stools to sit on to eat inside and a couple of Tables outside. The food is absolutely delicious. Wonderful wonderfulwonderful. As an example of the attention to detail we had some goats cheese with beetroot. The beetroot was delicious, and there were at least two or three different types of beetroot. All delicious.”
“What a delightful place. Old world tea rooms with modern food. The decor was beautiful. The staff were so lovely. Only fault.......just the one toilet”
“Went to Montalto on a Thursday. It was dry thank goodness so we were able to do the lake walk and kids could play in the outdoor adventure play area. Plenty of picnic tables. The grounds are beautiful with lots of beautiful shrubs and flowers. There are lots of summer seats on the walks so suitable for older people who may need a wee rest. The cafe is very large with indoor and outdoor seating. One area is also dog friendly. There is a 'bark park' with exercise and agility equipment for dogs. The gardens and grounds are extremely well kept. There was even a witch's cottage hidden at the side of the lake. I would highly recommend Montalto to families.”
“We love Rowallan house and Gardens . Beautiful all year round . Great tea house , book shop and Matts pottery is beautiful. i just bought some new pots for the garden ❤️”
“We had fab weather for it. Took us a good 20 minutes of wondering around to get to the middle. We were told there was a bell in the middle to ring but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. It was €5 to park in the car park and then we could walk around the grounds as we pleased. The lake was gorgeous also”
“Beautiful park for sports, walking dog / dogs, ideal place for family time - camping and paddle board, kanoes, kayaks available for rent.”
“The atmosphere at Villa Vinci is warm and inviting. The staff were exceptionally friendly and provided excellent service. The food was generally tasty, with many dishes showcasing fresh ingredients. However, the lasagne felt a bit heavy on the cheese and could have benefited from a few more layers of pasta. Despite this minor quibble, I'd still recommend Villa Vinci for a pleasant meal out.”
“By the pricking of my thumbs something yummy this way comes. First thing let's talk about the steak it was hands down the best steak that our steak orderer has had in his opinion in 50 plus years of eating them. From the quality of the meat to the perfection of a medium rare cooking the steak was a certainly no trick but instead a treat for the taste buds. The Chicken Curry was a moreish, creamy flavor explosion with a mild comforting hug on the heat scale and well prepared boiled rice that complimented the dish.”
“Fantastic courses Greens perfect for time off year credit to greenskeepers Pace off play was brilliant thanks to starters Well worth the golf ireland rates”
“Very tasty food. Reasonable price. Friendly helpful service. Nice decor.”
