“I can't recommend this trip highly enough! Our tour guide was Isaac and he was adsolutely brilliant. At the start I asked about Isaac's background, whether he was Protestant or Catholic, he didn't tell me and asked me to guess at the end of the tour, at the end I couldn't guess one way or the other as he was completely impartial giving "both sides of the story". Isaac was that informative and engaging he even had my 10 year old's attention for the whole trip.”

“A fantastic experience! Barney was an excellent guide. His stories were very interesting and he showed concern and interest in the guests. Even though we endured a major downpour of rain, we were 100% satisfied with the tour. Don’t hesitate to book it. Tip: Barney was outside the tourism office across from City Hall, rather than in front of it.”

“Delightful experience. Well deserved one star. The room is both stylish and relaxing. Service is warm and attentive but not fussy. The food was inventive and always delivered flavour with flair. The wine list is well curated and not overwhelming. Lots of variety and price points with a wide range of by-the-glass wines. We didn't go for matching wines but the sommelier Nick gave us great recommendations. Highly recommend for a special dinner.”

But aside from the venue itself the staff and food was absolutely amazing. Their beer garden is fantastic with lots for kids to play with also. We will definitely be back”

“Stephen is a credit to your team. My son was struggling with school shoe shopping and we'd already had some close to meltdown moments in the Abbey Centre. When we entered Nandos I explained that he was struggling with the volume etc (in the shops) and we were just seeing if he felt ok to eat here. Stephen immediately offered us a quiet area in the back and got the music system turned down. He checked in a couple of further times. One of the best restaurant experiences I've had with my son, we do it so rarely because he finds it tough, so thank you ever so much!”

Our tour guide Rae (Rachel) was amazing, she was so knowledgeable and delivered the tour in a really engaging, humorous, and informative way. My partner has specific dietary requirements and he was catered to brilliantly and was still able to enjoy the tour as much as I did! There was a wide variety of fabulous foods and drinks, and we met so many brilliant food vendors during the tour. The tour was very good value for money and I felt that we were able to sample a large quantity of food and drink for the price.”

“My husband, teen son and I did the interactive blacksmithing workshop this past Saturday and it was TERRIFIC! Michael and his assistant Garth first took us on a tour of this historical mill and showed us how spades are made. It was fascinating to see how the mill was built and how it's powered and it's awesome that the National Trust has ensured its continuity. Then they helped us make our own fire pokers using the forge. It was exciting, educational, and challenging but they made sure we did everything safely and our pokers came out excellent (well mostly). I think the only reason this experience isn't oversubscribed is that people don't know about it. Hopefully they'll be able to continue it as it's a great opportunity to do something unique and fascinating. Highly recommend.”
