“I can't recommend this trip highly enough! Our tour guide was Isaac and he was adsolutely brilliant. At the start I asked about Isaac's background, whether he was Protestant or Catholic, he didn't tell me and asked me to guess at the end of the tour, at the end I couldn't guess one way or the other as he was completely impartial giving "both sides of the story". Isaac was that informative and engaging he even had my 10 year old's attention for the whole trip.”
“Believe all of the five star reviews - DC tours is excellent! Chris was a wonderful guide for the History of Terror tour. His storytelling and emphasis on the people of Northern Ireland was the perfect way to understand years of conflict. He also was incredibly balanced in the information presented, sharing all perspectives and conveying a feeling of hope. I would highly recommend Chris, this tour, and DC tours in general!”
“Phenomenal experience with David and Belfast Bike Tours! Even through the rain! Biking was such a great way to experience so much of the city- we really saw a lot with relative ease. David was very well spoken, knowledgeable, and truly caring for his city/ country/ people. We would do this tour again if in Belfast again!”
“We had a wonderful day with Stewart, who took us from Belfast to the Causeway and back. The meet and greet was fantastic; right after we disembarked from the ship, we met up with Stewart and Brian. It was just a short walk from the port to Stewart's clean car. He also provided us with water and snacks. Stewart drove us around town before heading into the countryside. The views along the coast were breathtaking! We stopped for coffee and enjoyed some fresh homemade cakes that Stewart’s wife had baked for him to share with us—she is a great baker. The drive itself was relaxing and enjoyable. When we arrived at the main attraction, the Causeway, Stewart offered helpful advice and made a lunch reservation for us. The restaurant he chose was lovely, and I highly recommend using the bus service at the Causeway, unless you’re not interested in having lunch. Throughout the tour, we made several stops for photos and to see various landmarks. It was a very well-organized tour. We also stopped for a whisky tasting; Stewart was eager for us to enjoy the experience and guided us on how to properly taste whisky. Out of the four of us, two found a whisky they liked. However, the highlight for me was definitely the shortbread that Stewart’s wife baked for us. If you’re looking for a personalized tour experience, I highly recommend this one!”
“If you're going to Belfast, you need to do this tour. We learned SO much and left the tour with a unique understanding of Belfast's history thanks to our guide, Shawn (Sean?). This isn't the stuff in your history books, it's real life told by real people. I cannot recommend this tour enough.”
“We spent an incredible 3 days with Michael Smith from Micks Tours Belfast. On Day 1, he took the 8 of us around Belfast, stopping at the castle, Peace Wall, Belfast City Hall and the Titanic Museum. He explained what it was like to live in Belfast during The Troubles, which gave us a glimpse of the challenges during that time period. Day 2 had us going out of the city to County Antrim, stopping at Carrickfergus Castle, Glenariff Forest Park (beautiful waterfall), and Lunch at the wonderful Fullerton Arms pub. In the afternoon, we continued on to the Giants causeway (amazing place) and finished our day at the Bushmills Distillery. Between Day 2 and 3, our ship the Azamara Quest moved to Greencastle near Londonderry. Michael picked us up there and gave us a breathtaking tour of North Donegal. We visited Grianan of Aileach (8th c. stone fort), Fort Dunree, Gap of Mamore, and my favorite place of the trip, Malin Head. We ate lunch at Farren’s B, Ireland’s northern most pub. The views from Malin Head were spectacular! We finished our day at Tremone Bay beach and then Moville. Throughout all 3 days, Michael shared stories and history of his country. He gave us a very objective view of the recent history of Northern Ireland, and we appreciated his insight. We cannot recommend Michael enough as a guide. All 8 of us agreed he helped make our vacation unforgettable.”
“A fantastic experience! Barney was an excellent guide. His stories were very interesting and he showed concern and interest in the guests. Even though we endured a major downpour of rain, we were 100% satisfied with the tour. Don’t hesitate to book it. Tip: Barney was outside the tourism office across from City Hall, rather than in front of it.”
“Excellent tour with Dave, who was very knowledgeable and engaging with his mix of history and personal knowledge and experiences, growing up in Belfast. Fascinating and educational. Absolutely recommend for everyone who visits. A great way to explore the city and appreciate the history.”
“Fascinating tour, really eye opening and gave an insight into the history of the troubles and daily life during them. The guide was very knowledgeable and having lived through it, was able to give personal anecdotes. A highlight of our 7 day NI trip for sure.”
“How Stuart can narrate continuously while driving for the whole day, I cannot fathom. Makes me think of those one person bands. He has all the info and it’s bits about Belfast, Ireland and GoT. It was an excellent trip. You can’t go over the rope bridge anymore as a bus load of people, but you’d have to return on your own if you want this. Instead we got a view of the bridge from a vantage point. Castle entries to Carrickfurgus and Dunluce (Castle Greyjoy) were discounted but optional. Just about enough time to go inside. We had 2 hrs at Giant’s Causeway which I thought was enough to do the longer walk both ways and have time to take photos.”
“I booked my “Gaint’s Casueway” tour without knowing it was through city sight seeing tours. I Had Stuart as my driver/ guide. HE WAS AMAZING, the tour was fantastic well beyond my expectations. Plenty of knowledge delivered In a fun light hearted way. The full day was such a great experience and I’ll be telling everyone to do it especially with this company. I ended up coming back the 2nd day to do the city Sight seeing tour which was really good also. Stuart mentioned getting a bus with a live guide. However I just jumped on any bus and found that the pre recorded audio was just as good and just as interesting. If you book both days you get a discount so I recommend that. Thanks for an amazing day!”
“Emotive, passionate, personal, polarised, fascinating, appalling, sad, an unusual tour and unusual ow4spectives. Its not a studied educated history but is impactful personal experiential stories. Balanced by 2 opposing sides perspectives”
“Absolutely Fabulous Tour!! Our Guide Connor was full of so much information and I loved sharing all of the little unknown things to my family that live in Belfast.!!”
“Highly recommend this tour, it was extremely educational, very interesting and very fairly priced. Our driver was Jimmy. An absolute gentleman, friendly and kind. He also didn’t hesitate in answering any of our many questions. Thank you for a heart felt experience of Belfast.”
“Melanie (guide) and Alex (driver) provided an excellent day of sightseeing, and Game of Thrones information! Inside information on filming is provided and specific details on filming. This tour would be enjoyable even for those not familiar with the series. I enjoyed the "show" tour part but also thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see the true Northern Ireland countryside. A truly beautiful country and part of the island! Highly recommend this tour company!”
“Had a great time on our tour yesterday, even with the diversion due to the band parades. Our tour guide Emma and bus driver Rab were terrific! An absolute hoot and had us in stitches the whole way round. I live in Northern Ireland and learned quite a lot about ‘our wee country’ along with my in-laws who were visiting from Doncaster for the weekend. Would 100% recommend the tour to anyone visiting Belfast, very worth the money.”
“I needed a touring bike for the Antrim coast. Norman was most accommodating and knowledgeable. Meeting me at the train station in Belfast for pickup and delivery was an added bonus! I heartily endorse him!”
“This is the most amazing way to take all of Belfast in. The bus driver is so good and informative. You take 12 stops in you don’t have to get off on all the stops . You can stay on there for the full hour and a half . We stopped off at the peace wall and the bus driver let us sign the peace wall. The bus driver was very funny and made you laugh all the time around the tour telling us all different stories. I would recommend going on the bus to find out all about Belfast. You can do 1 or 2 day tickets .”
“Really enjoyed my recent Trip with Rory's Travel Club to Pamporovo in Bulgaria. Our representatives Stella, Emil, & Tony were fantastic. Always so kind and helpful. Thanks again.”
“We had a fantastic and very enjoyable day, great value for money. But a very special thanks to our guide Lisa and driver Decky. Lisa was very informative and entertaining all the while being very professional, especially when dealing with one difficult passenger. Driver Decky, well he also was professional, I sat behind him, obviously very experienced, did not take any risks, was very careful and considerate to other road users, I was impressed. Thanks again Lisa and Decky for a fantastic, enjoyable and memorable day, even with not so nice weather. All the best to you.”
“Great experience. Fast reliable service. Highly recommended”
“I wish I can stay till night it's a happening place.. n gonna more beautiful in night lights”
“Myself and my partner had a brilliant time on the food tour in Belfast. Our tour guide Rae (Rachel) was amazing, she was so knowledgeable and delivered the tour in a really engaging, humorous, and informative way. My partner has specific dietary requirements and he was catered to brilliantly and was still able to enjoy the tour as much as I did! There was a wide variety of fabulous foods and drinks, and we met so many brilliant food vendors during the tour. The tour was very good value for money and I felt that we were able to sample a large quantity of food and drink for the price.”
“Loved our day on the Antrim Coast with Barry. The weather was not great but we made the best of it. We visited Carrickfergus Castle, several GoT sites (including the dark hedges), the Carrick-a-rede swinging bridge and Giants Causeway. I never felt rushed and had sufficient time to see each site and do what I wanted to do! We also loved our Cab tour covering the Troubles. We did this one with Paula (who happens to be Barry’s wife). She has lived through the troubles! I would definitely use Giants Causeway tours again. This isn’t some large tour company, this is family owned and their genuine nature shines through!”
“Attended the rib ride today for my daughter Bethany's 10th birthday what can I say amazing! It was fabulous. We sat front row and enjoyed every minute of it. The guide had a wealth of knowledge and made the day special for everyone aboard. I can't wait to do it all again. Highly recommend for anyone. Get booked! You won't regret.”
“We’ve been for 2 sessions now with Zee. One on single paddle boards during the day and a twilight session on a 8 man paddle board. We got to watch the sunset and it was an incredible experience. Zee is a fantastic instructor, we even managed to stand on the first day. Antrim Boat club is a great location with access to the open lough and the six mile river. Would definitely recommend!”
“Great trip to Giant Causeway with city tours Belfast. Dave kept us entertained on the bus as we drove our way through the coastline stopping at some interesting points on the way. A nice stop for lunch where dark hedges was filmed for Game if Thrones. Thank goodness we had good weather as you get 2 hours at the causeway. Would recommend the trip.”
“The coach trip from Belfast Port to Giants Causeway was fantastic. The Driver/Guide was knowledgeable and organised. The viewpoints and destinations were all worthwhile. We had a stress free day not having to worry about making it back to port on time because we could see he knew how to navigate the schedule. I thoroughly enjoyed my day. It was the highlight of my cruise holiday.”
“Thoroughly enjoyed the Belfast history and city walking tour with Marti. He gave us good insights into the city’s past, present and future! Showing us secret spots which we wouldn’t have discovered by ourselves. Definitely recommend”
