   Our brilliant tour guide Maylie was a fountain of knowledge that kept on giving on this tour. We arrived knowing some details about the Troubles but walked away feeling like experts with so many stories to process. A brilliant, insightful and highly engaging tour that weaves the history of the Troubles in with the story of UK-Irish political relations to this very day.

   If you're wanting to learn about the history of the troubles and where Belfast and Northern Ireland are today, then this tour is for you. Our guide Jim gave us a totally unbiased recount of history, conflict and how it effected the ordinary citizens of Northern Ireland, including himself. It made me truly understand why my Grand father left Ireland many years ago, never to return and never to speak about his homeland again. I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour. Would thoroughly recommend this tour with DC tours.

   The 'history of terrors' walking tour was second to none I did until now! Our tour guide James was such a kind, caring and humorous person, who always made sure we are properly taken care of. Since he's born in Belfast and even studied politics and history here, he was able to provide a lot of information (in a very understandable way, though!) and also some first-hand experiences from the time. He was very passionate about the topic, but also very sensitive about how it could affect people. But it wasn't 'just' that. Right at the beginning he gave us a quick safety briefing and explained our iternary. After every stop he asked whether everyone understood everything and whether were good to go on or if anyone needed anything. When a light rain set in, he even provided capes to those who needed them! I have never felt that much taken care of on any other tour, all while having fun and learning so many things. And he also gave us so many recommendations on what to do/where to go while we stay in Belfast, that was great! It was a pleasure and I highly recommend taking this tour while you're in Belfast. Thank you very much, James!

   Anne delivered a superb and deeply informative A History of Terror tour. Beginning at the impressive Belfast City Hall, we were introduced to the complex background of Irish and British history that led to the Troubles. From there, we walked to various significant locations, each brought vividly to life through Anne’s compelling storytelling. Her ability to help us visualise the events and understand their causes was excellent. What truly set this tour apart was Anne’s personal touch; she shared her own experiences of growing up during the Troubles, offering a powerful and human perspective. I was especially moved by her reflections on family life and school during that time. We highly recommend this brilliant tour. We learned so much and appreciated the warm, inclusive atmosphere—especially the kind welcome extended to our dog!

   Believe all of the five star reviews - DC tours is excellent! Chris was a wonderful guide for the History of Terror tour. His storytelling and emphasis on the people of Northern Ireland was the perfect way to understand years of conflict.    There are many tours to choose from, and I am glad I chose DC Tours for my first visit to Belfast. Easy to book online, email reminder, welcomed by guide Steve M. Tour lasted about 2 hrs 45 min (wear comfortable shoes) and is very worthwhile. The provided ear-pieces are essential and appreciated. The detailed information covered about 800 years of history, focusing on The Troubles and including thoughts about the present and future. The presentation is factual and unbiased. I feel like I attended a course in Irish history. A list of recommended further reading and viewing is available on request.

   We did multiple walking tours through this company and they were all fantastic. James was our guide and he was absolutely amazing, gave such good information and was so good about explaining both sides without a bias and bringing in so many stories and details that really helped to make the tours real and fill in the history. We did the History of Terror/the Troubles, the West Belfast/Murals tour and others and each one was very informative while still being respectful of the past traumas and how it affects people today. As Americans it was really interesting to learn how it's still affecting people today and the impact on the country and people of Ireland. Thank you James and DC tours!

   We spent a fantastically informative, educational and entertaining morning in Belfast with our guide Paul who was friendly, professional and engaging throughout. As the Troubles were part of our family history, we wanted our three kids to learn more about NI but from an impartial viewpoint which Paul was scrupulous in providing. As an introduction to Belfast history, we would thoroughly recommend DC Tours both as an orientation within the city and as a typically warm Northern Irish welcome.    Our family experienced a walking tour of Belfast this morning with Paul Donnelly. It was very informative, and highly engaging. Paul"s pace and perspectives were both extremely professional and polished. We had our three teen children with us and they were all kept interested throughout.
