“A faboulus 11 hour monster tour to the Highlands fulfilled all our expectations. Our safe and never tired driver Ken was far more than that with his excellent historical knowledge, which was a welcome addition to our visit to the Edinburgh National Museum the day before. So this trip became an unforgettable encounter with both Scottish landscape and its history.”

“Absolutely deserves 5 stars! I went with my 13 year old brother and it ended up being the most fun activity we did in Edinburgh. We didn’t know what to expect, but the actors were brilliant and really made the experience. Each room was superbly decorated, it felt like stepping onto a movie set. Plenty of laughs with a few great jump scares too. Highly recommend!”

“We stayed here for 3 nights during an event at the Royal Highland Centre. Location couldn’t have been more perfect as the entrance is a mere 3 steps away from the hotel car park. Getting here was easy off the main road as was parking. Just remember to pay for your parking in reception and not using the qr codes in the car park as you’ll get it half price. Check-in was a breeze with all staff polite from the moment we arrived to the time we departed. Reception has a small shop area with drinks and snacks and a vending machine with all your holiday essentials that you likely forgot to pack. The airport terminal is only a 15min walk away too but constant shuttles work their way from the hotel if you arent up for a walk. The airport terminal has a tram stop which for £10 return takes you straight into the centre of Edinburgh. Our room was 34 on the ground floor. Great size and spotlessly clean. Great to see dove hand wash, body wash and shampoo along with the usual tea and coffee stuff, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Only complaint is the mattress is well past its shelf life and all its spring has sprung. Very soft and we just kept rolling into the middle but beyond that the room was perfect. Free unlimited breakfast in the morning. Muffins, croissants, pancakes machine, cereals as well as the typical hot choices like sausages, bacon, eggs etc. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely go back.”

“Had a great experience using The Edinburgh Bus company (green bus). Nadine was a great tour guide and had a wealth of knowledge about the city! There was no one else on the tour so it felt like chatting to a new friend. Definitely worth the £18. This tour stands out from others due to live commentary vs recordings. A must do on your first trip to Edinburgh!”

“This place is an absolutely amazing wee find, (take road to mansion) and cheaper than a normal campsite. Pods are clean and really cunfy, some even come with picnic benches and barbecues! Such a beautiful space and so quiet, the set up for campfire is well thought out surrounded by benches all round & there is a even a store with free firewood. Owner has volenteers working on the area so can only imagine it will get better and more beautiful in time if that's even possible. One I'll be going back too again and again.”

“Great Family Boat Tour! A birthday pressie for my 15 yo boy, we had an amazing time: the views of the bridges, going under the bridges (!), watching the seals swimming near us, and seeing the shoreline from the 'other' side. Leanne was friendly and very knowledgeable, making the whole experience very enjoyable. It was the perfect way to spend quality time together and take in the beauty of the area. Highly recommend!”

“We arrived in the heart of Scotland—Glasgow—where we were greeted by Sandy’s warm Scottish smile, setting the perfect tone for our adventure. Our first stop was the iconic Loch Lomond, a breathtaking destination of wild beauty and serene landscapes. However, Mother Nature had other plans. The skies opened up, drenching us in a cold, relentless rain, with temperatures hovering around 50°F. As we braved the misty downpour, I couldn’t shake the feeling of déjà vu—it was as if we had stepped straight into a scene from James Bond’s Skyfall. I could almost hear Albert Finney’s voice as Kincade, saying, “Welcome to Scotland.” It felt like Scotland was welcoming us in the most authentic way possible—thankfully, without Kincade firing a shotgun, but instead with a soaking mix of wind and rain. Despite the weather, Sandy was phenomenal. Her experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm made this one of the best tours we’ve had in Scotland. She kept our spirits high, weaving in fascinating history, local legends, and personal stories that made every stop unforgettable. And to top it off, her transportation was first-class—comfortable, clean, and perfect for navigating Scotland’s stunning landscapes. If you’re looking for a top-notch guide who delivers an authentic and enriching Scottish experience, Sandy is the one to book!”

“I did both the Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes tours in Edinburgh with Marie, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and full of passion for both subjects. Her storytelling was captivating and brought each location to life, whether it was related to J.K. Rowling’s magical world or the life and inspiration behind Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective. Marie made the experience fun, informative, and truly memorable. I highly recommend her tours to anyone visiting Edinburgh — she’s a fantastic guide who clearly loves what she does!”

“this was my fourth time booking a day with Callum and my second time I took my godchild (well now a young adult) Noah along. As always we had the best day ever. Everything is carefully planned by Callum, from pick-up, gear, instructions, lunch and pictures. He has such an incredible knowledge about fly fishing, the places you fish and Scotland in general. He is super patient and helps when needed. our day was fantastic (although the weather was almost too nice, yes according to Callum it can be too nice for the fish to bite ;-)) and we both caught a few small ones. but as I always say, it is not about the fish, it is about the experience. Thank you again for a fantastic day - I will be back!”

“This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Edinburgh. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the areas we biked through. Our tour was so scenic and as promised, we hardly went near the road - all trails, which was perfect for us. Having e-bikes is a must since there were lots of hills and the e-bikes make it so much easier.”

“We booked 2 tours with Scottish Guided Tours and couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. Niall created a wonderful tour for us including Stirling castle, a distillery and the lowlands complete with a hairy coo for my daughter! He catered to my family’s special needs and was very knowledgeable about everything Scottish. The next day we traveled to St.Andrews with Mike and had a great time exploring. He was very accommodating for my disabled mom and even stopped at a pharmacy for her to pickup some allergy medicine. Both days had a little bit of everything for each of my family members. My husband and I can’t wait to come back and explore the highlands and would absolutely use Scottish Guided Tours again in a heartbeat.”

The B&B they booked for us was first-class and Colin did a fantastic job as our guide. He gave us the history of Scotland, great restaurant recommendations and made our experience top notch. I would definitely use Discover Scotland again and I recommend it to anyone who wants to see more of Scotland.”

Kerry-Ann listened and intuited to our goals for the trip to the Women's Open and beyond, and proposed the most perfect itinerary for the trip of a lifetime. Every personal interaction and detail attended too made me feel like a truly special client. Then, at the Open I discovered many others who felt the same way. Magical.”

“What brilliant service! Reliable, polite and with a great local knowledge; I thoroughly enjoyed my taxi journey back home to Edinburgh. A night out in south queensferry is lovely, getting home again, not so much (especially as they are planning to stop the no. 40 service!). But now I have found Neil mckenzie's taxi company it will be a doddle to get back home! A proper local company with proper high standards. Tops.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Highlands of Scotland. Kuddos to Lauriane and Nordic for their professionalism and helpful suggestions, the entire process was a breeze. Lauriane promptly answered all of our questions and offered wonderful travel suggestions and tips. Our accommodations were all first rate and the staff at every establishment were awesome. We highly recommend Nordic and will be booking again with them. The only thing they didn’t help us out with was driving on the left side of the road, but we were able to navigate that issue (pun intended). If it is your first time in Scotland or driving in the UK, I highly recommend the meet and greet service from the airport, it really takes the stress off after the travel. Again, thank you so much Lauriane and Nordic for an unforgettable experience!”
