“What brilliant service! Reliable, polite and with a great local knowledge; I thoroughly enjoyed my taxi journey back home to Edinburgh. A night out in south queensferry is lovely, getting home again, not so much (especially as they are planning to stop the no. 40 service!). But now I have found Neil mckenzie's taxi company it will be a doddle to get back home! A proper local company with proper high standards. Tops.”
“It's been a nice little cruise on the Firth of Forth. I learned a lot about the bridges and islands in the Forth. One can land on Inchcolm Island, but today I just took the short cruise. The crew was perfectly friendly.”
“We had a wonderful tour with Highland Experience! Kenny was a fantastic tour guide in every way. A great mix of sightseeing, history, humor, and culture. Mr. Kirk quickly established the individual circumstances of folks in our group and customized the experience perfectly. We appreciated his extensive familiarity with the locations, including less traveled roads, amazing scenic stops, and every detail - right down to where the best toilets are! While driving, Kenny provided insight, stories, history, and local music that enhanced the drive and sights. Selecting the music was a particular skill - ranging from energetic at times to reverent as well experienced Culloden Battlefield. The local bookings were great - we felt lucky to have dinner and attend a Ceilidh! Kenny was fantastic! The tour bus was clean and comfortable! The weather was very nearly perfect (OK, Kenneth may not control that, but it was great). Highland Experience was a great choice.”
“Lovely experience with Jose Luis as our guide. Excellent guide with care, great music charming our road trip and telling us stories and history, learned a lot. It was definitely worth it!”

“Water of Leith Path is a fantastic walking and cycling trail in Edinburgh, offering a peaceful escape from the city. The path winds along the river, passing scenic spots, charming bridges, and wildlife. It’s perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing walk or bike ride in a serene setting”
“I’m glad I did see the vaults as it is very interesting such things exist under the streets above. These tours were recommended on tik tok and this particular tour group seemed to be more enthusiastic/ entertaining from the things I’ve seen on tik tok, and that is exactly what we got, James, our guide was so enthusiastic and a nice guy, you could tell he likes his job and so it’s lovely to listen & learn about the vaults from him. We enjoyed the tour!”
“Stunning castle ruins. One of the best castles I've been to across the world, mostly because not much has been touched since it fell in ruin and none of the areas are blocked off or renovated. Don't expect anything special here, and honestly if you're in Edinburgh for a day or two there are plenty better places to see, but if you have the time it is definitely worth going for the ambiance of the place.”
“Arrive early! It says 15 mins but if you want to park your car and get your tickets you need longer for sure... great trip .. well run.. went to incholm island it was excellent... very windy be warned.... no commentary on boat but it's comfy and an enjoyable 45 min journey to the island and 45 mins back.. going under all 3 of the bridges... there is toilets and a cafe on board the boat.. also toilets on the island and a little shop... highly recommend”
“This is my favorite hotel in Edinburgh. Quiet and tranquil with gorgeous Arthur’s Seat views. The staff here are amazing, hospitable, friendly, they go out of their way to help and are especially concerned about guests who may be choking or coughing while eating. The rooms are modern and clean and the beds are comfortable, windows can open for fresh air. The food is excellent and the cozy space is homey. It’s adjacent to the Scott hotel, with its lush velvet lounge and posh brasserie, giving Downton Abbey vibes.”
“Amazing way to experience Edinburgh, especially if you are lucky enough to have Turloch as your tour guide. Very engaging and entertaining storyteller who made the tour an absolute blast for everyone. Hope you'll make it big as an actor mate!”
“My husband I had the best time touring the Highlands of Scotland. Our guide and driver Brendon(BDog) was fantastic and kept our interest through out the journey. Highly recommend the "Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands Day Tour from Edinburgh" to anyone looking to cover the Scotland Highlands in a single day.”
“Not sure what the historical significance of the wall is, but you have a great view of the Edinburgh castle along this stretch of road.”
“Great travel agency. Have booked many times and service brilliant. Corrie is absolutely amazing and will go outside her remit to help with any issues”
“We did one of the boat tours - 1 hour around two islands- and it was fun. My 3 kids liked it. Watch for bird poop! Crazy amount of birds in early July”
“My daughter and I went on the 3-Day Loch Ness & Isle of Skye Tour from Edinburgh, with Tiegan as our guide and driver. The seats in the van are super comfortable, and the large windows let you really take in the view while Tiegan managed the driving and told us about where we were going, as well as interesting stories and local legends. The countryside is beautiful, and the roads are small and windy, so it was great to have an experienced and safe driver navigating the roads, while we just relaxed and admired the scenery. She drove us along, and we had many chances to stop and hike, get a bite to eat, use the restroom, etc. It was really relaxing and all us riders were able to completely enjoy and appreciate the places we visited without having to worry about travel routes, timing to reach destinations, etc. And there were many stops in the 3 days of the tour! I couldn’t have planned a better tour! It was perfect! Thanks to our wonderful guide, Tiegan! I’m the kind of person who usually plans my own trips out, but I did not know much about Scotland, and the cost of this tour was just a little bit more than if I had booked my own hotel stays for the 2 nights, so we decided to book this tour. I am so glad we did! I highly recommend this tour! I could not have seen or learned anywhere near as much on my own.”
“Had a fantastic trip to Paris with the help of Barrhead Travel! Stayed at the Dream Castle Hotel — great amenities, delicious breakfast, and the shuttle made getting to Disneyland easy. Thanks for helping me fulfil my daughter’s dream of visiting Disneyland Paris. Highly recommend Barrhead for holiday planning! — Chandru”
“We booked 2 tours with Scottish Guided Tours and couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. Niall created a wonderful tour for us including Stirling castle, a distillery and the lowlands complete with a hairy coo for my daughter! He catered to my family’s special needs and was very knowledgeable about everything Scottish. The next day we traveled to St.Andrews with Mike and had a great time exploring. He was very accommodating for my disabled mom and even stopped at a pharmacy for her to pickup some allergy medicine. Both days had a little bit of everything for each of my family members. My husband and I can’t wait to come back and explore the highlands and would absolutely use Scottish Guided Tours again in a heartbeat.”
“Great Family Boat Tour! A birthday pressie for my 15 yo boy, we had an amazing time: the views of the bridges, going under the bridges (!), watching the seals swimming near us, and seeing the shoreline from the 'other' side. Leanne was friendly and very knowledgeable, making the whole experience very enjoyable. It was the perfect way to spend quality time together and take in the beauty of the area. Highly recommend!”
“I am so glad I happened to discover Fairways Scotland. Working with them was the first time I ever worked with a company to set up such perfect travel arrangements. Kerry-Ann listened and intuited to our goals for the trip to the Women's Open and beyond, and proposed the most perfect itinerary for the trip of a lifetime. Every personal interaction and detail attended too made me feel like a truly special client. Then, at the Open I discovered many others who felt the same way. Magical.”
“The 4 of us had a great time: super responsive team (all planned over WhatsApp!) the program was well planned and balanced; great recommendations for distilleries, accommodations, lunches and dinners. A good variety of whiskeys and distilleries; AND of course, an amazing guide Scott! Well articulated (for non native English speakers!), full of energy, anecdotes and jokes; and very patient with us! Absolutely memorable!”
“We had an exceptional stay in Scotland thanks to Nicolas and Anastassia, who were able to listen to our wishes and prepare a tailor-made itinerary for us over 7 days. With our two children aged 8 and 5, we visited Loch Lomond, the Isle of Mull via the ferry to Oban, Fort William, Pitlochry, and Edinburgh. Always available and responsive, we communicated very easily in all circumstances. Their experience allowed us to discover splendid places and very pleasant addresses. We returned with stars in our eyes! THANK YOU!”
“I don’t normally do these reviews but I decided to make an exception in this case because of how well everything went. We looked at different providers for our trip to Argentina and Chile. Andean Trails has many pluses. You get a bespoke trip. Bespoke as in getting exactly what you want (not as in expensive) and you are not part of a group with inevitable compromises to the itinerary. Kathy is very knowledgeable about the region from personal experience. Her suggestions were very helpful. We had to make changes during the trip and were able to complete them using WhatsApp, her availability never seemed an issue. We had good accommodation The local agents sent us reminders for the next day in good English and were all punctual Finally although we were obviously not her most important clients we were treated as though we were. No hesitation in recommending Andean Trails”
“They are extremely helpful and we have had a brilliant holiday through the both boys helping us on our way, can't thank both of them enough and I hope one day that we can come back to feurtoventura, the place is stunning and the weather is absolutely roasting hot, the flight was good and the hotel and food are both really good, I really hope that both of the boys who own and work in travel yard read this because me and Michelle really want to thank you so very much for giving us life long memories of a brilliant time abroad”
“We arrived in the heart of Scotland—Glasgow—where we were greeted by Sandy’s warm Scottish smile, setting the perfect tone for our adventure. Our first stop was the iconic Loch Lomond, a breathtaking destination of wild beauty and serene landscapes. However, Mother Nature had other plans. The skies opened up, drenching us in a cold, relentless rain, with temperatures hovering around 50°F. As we braved the misty downpour, I couldn’t shake the feeling of déjà vu—it was as if we had stepped straight into a scene from James Bond’s Skyfall. I could almost hear Albert Finney’s voice as Kincade, saying, “Welcome to Scotland.” It felt like Scotland was welcoming us in the most authentic way possible—thankfully, without Kincade firing a shotgun, but instead with a soaking mix of wind and rain. Despite the weather, Sandy was phenomenal. Her experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm made this one of the best tours we’ve had in Scotland. She kept our spirits high, weaving in fascinating history, local legends, and personal stories that made every stop unforgettable. And to top it off, her transportation was first-class—comfortable, clean, and perfect for navigating Scotland’s stunning landscapes. If you’re looking for a top-notch guide who delivers an authentic and enriching Scottish experience, Sandy is the one to book!”
“Incredible experience!!! Marina took us on a journey through Scotland, showing us amazing places and sharing so much knowledge about the country, its customs, and traditions… Thank you, Marina, for your kindness, your availability, your knowledge, and also for the laughs we shared. I highly recommend this excursion, which exceeded our expectations.”
“If you are checking the reviews thinking if you should invest in this trip or not with Martin read here. Firstly the human factor. Martin is an extremely kind and soft person. The companionship and exchange of stories while we traveled really built something. It never felt for a single minute as a professional relationship or a job from his side. Roaming Scotland it's his world, and showing people hidden gems his passion. I felt like traveling with him and not his customer even once. There is absolutely no way I would have found certain spots or areas by myself so if you are looking not to fall into the basic tourist areas you are in the right place. It was worth every single pound. If that's still not enough the amount of historical knowledge and facts he will pass on to you at any moment will give you much more sense at what you will be looking at, what you will experience. I'm waiting to see the misty hills of Scotland once more. And hopefully meet Martin again. Andrea. 30”
“I want to tell you how wonderful our tour of the Highlands was yesterday with our guide, Fernando. It's a real treat to have such a young man. Cultured and polite. His knowledge, excellent vocabulary, and safe and careful driving made our trip an unforgettable experience. I also want to mention Alex, with whom we did the free walking tour of Edinburgh. He was equally enjoyable, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable. Thank you so much for both experiences!”
“The Outlander & Isle Skye tour from ScotlandTrips International is a fantastic Scottish trip, an unforgettable experience, led by Alberto, a dedicated and passionate guide who makes the adventure a captivating experience, as well as great professionalism. It's worth it.”
“Great place for a day out. Loads of fun for all ages”
