   I don’t normally do these reviews but I decided to make an exception in this case because of how well everything went. We looked at different providers for our trip to Argentina and Chile. Andean Trails has many pluses. You get a bespoke trip. Bespoke as in getting exactly what you want (not as in expensive) and you are not part of a group with inevitable compromises to the itinerary. Kathy is very knowledgeable about the region from personal experience. Her suggestions were very helpful. We had to make changes during the trip and were able to complete them using WhatsApp, her availability never seemed an issue. We had good accommodation The local agents sent us reminders for the next day in good English and were all punctual Finally although we were obviously not her most important clients we were treated as though we were. No hesitation in recommending Andean Trails

   y Husband and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in the Brazilian Pantanal with Andean Trails. The highlight of our trip was the wonderful wildlife that we saw throughout the tour. We stayed in small, family run lodges and the food was of a high standard. I feel that our trip did benefit the local communities as we participated in many wildlife activities, including boat rides and safari drives offered by each lodge,.We also purchased goods from small local businesses during the trip. I chose to travel with Andean Trails as the itineray offered included both the Northern Pantanal, good for seeing Giant Anteaters and Armadillos, and the Southern Pantanal, good for Jaguar spotting.

   Wow, my sister and I did the Condoriri trek in Bolivia through Andean Trails, and we absolutely loved it. The personnel that we interacted with were warm and professional. Kat and Tom answered all our questions and sent us clear information ahead of time. Osvaldo and Cesar placed a high priority on both our safety and enjoyment. Our guide Cesar was knowledgeable about the trails, flora, fauna, history, legends, and economy of Bolivia. We learned so much! Our chef Alex was a gem. The breakfasts were substantial, including fresh fruit, pancakes, scrambled eggs, cheese empanadas, fresh-squeezed orange juice, coffee, and tea. Our packed lunches — especially the Bolivian chocolate bars — gave us the energy we needed to hike. Hot drinks and snacks waited for us each afternoon after that day’s hiking. Dinners were three-course affairs, starting with delicious hearty soups, following by an entree and dessert! The scenery was absolutely stunning. The Condoriri area is truly one of the most beautiful regions I've experienced in my whole life, and the variety made it particularly special: yellow-green grass-tufted valleys, turquoise glacial lakes, frozen lakes, glaciers, slate-covered peaks, blankets of snow. I enjoyed spotting the animals, including llama herds, alpaca herds, Andean rabbits, and black-and-white hawk-eagles. The tent was comfortable, the trails were quiet (seeing more than ten people in one day was rare), and Cesar set a pace that felt comfortable for us, helping us summit our highest mountain yet with no problems. Overall, I recommend a Bolivia trek with Andean Trails to other hikers looking for unspoiled nature, engaging stories, excellent food, and challenging but doable trails.

   I cannot recommend Andean Trails enough! My sister and I completed the Condoriri trek in Bolivia last month, and I have not been able to stop talking about it. Not only were we surrounded by an eclectic array of nature (mountains, lakes, plains, glaciers), but we were also met by llamas, alpacas, and Andean rabbits along our way. We felt prepared, safe, and well-provided for by the staff that prepped us and by our knowledgeable guide, Cesar, who showed us the way, told us stories, and made us laugh at every turn. The meals that our chef prepared for us were exquisite (massive breakfast each morning including fresh fruit and eggs to order, packed lunches and three course dinners that included the best quinoa soup that we had our entire time in Bolivia). Thank you to Cesar, Alex, Osvaldo, Kat, and everyone at Andean Trails that truly made this an experience of a lifetime! If you love to camp and hike, but don't want the hassle of the prep, logistics, and hauling gear, then Andean Trails is the tour company for you.

   A group of 4 of us went to Peru in April 2025. Kat at Andean trails was amazing in helping us plan the trip. She listened to places we wanted to visit, how we wanted to use guides and the activities planned. Kat came up with an excellent itinerary, her communications were speedy, skilled and she allowed us to change parts as we planned the holiday.The guides the company used were exceptional and we had a great time. Kate my partner on our return has said the trip exceeded her expectations and that is true for the rest of us. We will use Andean trails again and highly recommend them.
