“Absolutely loved my stay at Seabreeze B&B! Beautiful rooms with fantastic sea views. Salma was a wonderful host - even made sure that she had vegan items in for my breakfasts. She was very easy going and made sure I had everything I needed, whilst letting me feel at home. The decor and facilities are very well done to ensure a lovely, comfortable stay. I loved walking along Portobello beach, and the bus stop is super convenient next door to head into the city centre with no trouble. Would definitely stay here again!”

When I said I needed to think about making a big purchase, she was very understanding. I returned to buy it the next day, and we were greeted very warmly. “By far one of the best hotels I have ever been to, Taia (unsure of spelling) the receptionist was the kindest sweetest person and made for hospitality. She made us feel so so welcome. Our Rooms facilities were INCREDIBLE the whole concept of the hotel is so chill and welcoming. Only teeny tiny little thing is the coffee could be replenished daily but that is me absolutely nitpicking. It was a perfect experience all around. (Wouldn’t recommend for young kids, seems more catered to adults/teens which I appreciated)”

If you are sitting on the fence about using this service jump off it and dive in - worth every penny. Followed up today with visit to store to collect some samples prior to receiving full consultancy report and equally lovely helpful and professional service from in store. Thank you all. “Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the city, but not too busy of a spot, so no loud noises waking you up. Rooms are very comfortable, bed was soft and cushioned but supportive, very comfortable. We had room service the first night since we got in kind of late. Food was pretty good. Would stay here again and highly recommend the hotel.”

“Absolutely deserves 5 stars! I went with my 13 year old brother and it ended up being the most fun activity we did in Edinburgh. We didn’t know what to expect, but the actors were brilliant and really made the experience. Each room was superbly decorated, it felt like stepping onto a movie set. Plenty of laughs with a few great jump scares too. Highly recommend!”

“A great venue but seating is quite tight for long legs. Staff were super welcoming, helpful and friendly. Joseph with Donny Osmond was the performance we saw. What a spectacular event, although it diverted from the traditional script to allow Donny to show his stage skills and provide numerous comic quips. I love live theatre and The Playhouse lives up to all expectations.”

“Great family visit and really lucky with the weather. The Pandas were impressive and the highlight but overall the whole place was very clean and tidy. The enclosures were very well maintained and also very clean. The only slight dissapointment was one particular member of staff who must have been having a bad day and was not particularly pleasant when we dare ask about what food was gluten free in the Jungle Restaurant but we worked it out and didn't ruin the day.”

Room very match box size, no mini fridge or fan - needed as was so hot no aircon. Environmentally friendly practices top marks: opt out of daily room cleaning, measures food waste - this is displayed to see in dinner.”

“Huge shout out to Lewis/Louis who helped us in the middle of the night navigate the Edinburgh emergency medical services and helping us get a ride to hospital at 0400! Great place to stay with a full kitchen, a separate bedroom, and a lot of room for a European place to stay. The building is beautiful from the outside, and well decorated inside. The front desk is the bar area and check-in was done via tablet and very quick. The host helped us with keys, went over a few things and gave us directions to our room. The bedroom had more than enough light, a big window (not much of a view), a comfortable, clean bed and adequate plugs to recharge electronics. The small bedside lamps were great for low light and reading in the evening. The bathroom was big and had more than enough room for two people to get ready about the same time. The only real compliant is one of almost every European hotel - no plugs for a hair dryer and the lighting is not very good for a woman to do her makeup. The kitchen area had a full sink, enough plates and silverware for four people, mugs, cups, and wine glasses. The refrigerator was very large and the washer/dryer was neatly tucked away in a large cabinet. In the "living room" area was a couch, a chair, small desk with an office-type chair, and a pull out smaller table from under the desk. The Marshall Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch. Next to the desk was an armoir that had a mirrored door and contained the iron, ironing board and small safe. Room 205 is at the end of the hall so it was very quiet the entire time we were there.”

“We absolutely loved the zoo! As someone with a disability who struggles with hills, the team gave me a very special lift to the top of the hill! We heard lots of facts about the penguins and other amazing animals! I can’t remember the staff members name but he had ginger hair!!! Our favourite animal at the zoo was the hippos, they were really really cute as well as the penguins! The giraffe viewing inside areas were amazing I must add! Overall a fabulous time, definitely recommend ❤️”

“Room was a little old but still very comfortable to stay in. The location in particular was really fantastic; we really appreciated the flat road to and from Edinburgh Waverley which you certainly wouldn't get if you lived in the Old Town area! Lots of food options around the hotel. Great service and staff were always happy to help with queries.”
