“Had a great experience using The Edinburgh Bus company (green bus). Nadine was a great tour guide and had a wealth of knowledge about the city! There was no one else on the tour so it felt like chatting to a new friend. Definitely worth the £18. This tour stands out from others due to live commentary vs recordings. A must do on your first trip to Edinburgh!”
“Very friendly shop. I found everything I need when I am cooking Chinese Japanese or Korean. Good value for money”
“It was a great location, within 10 minute walk of either attractions or the bus but set back so not particularly noisy. It was clean, beds were comfy, plenty of hot water, shower was powerful. Kitchenette was brilliant as we could self cater, we didn't realise there was a washer/dryer in there too (also wash powder there) . We could have done with a few extra pieces of kitchen equipment and softer pillows but they are minor gripes. We will definitely be staying again.”
“The hotel was quaint and loved the decor. The beds were comfy, and plenty of towels were provided. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating to our needs. The location is a 5 minute walk from Haymarket Train and Tram station. We easily walked everywhere. Everything was just as described. There is no lift, and all communication clearly states there is no lift. The hotel sends several messages stating this and advises if a lower floor room is needed to contact them directly if one is available. The hotel met both our budget and travel needs. We did have an issue with the hot water, HOWEVER, after letting the front desk person know they fixed it while we were out the same day.”
“For a 3* hotel we found this over & above our expectations. On arrival we were greeted by very pleasant and helpful staff. Underground car parking available at £15 which is ideal. Room was lovely & clean & warm, nice bathroom/shower. Breakfast was really good. Only 15 minute walk to Princes St etc. Well impressed.”
“Thank you for all this great service. We went only one night and it was enough to see how kind and welcoming are the employees. Great room and great breakfast ! It was a nice way to begin our journey in Edimburgh”
“Booked a cab I'm advance over the phone and staff were really useful. Got a text when the cab was dispatched and a call when they arrived (on time). No additional charge for going to a far out location picking us up and driving back. Had the option for cash or card payments.”
“Marco is the best, he always puts me at ease as he knows I am a very nervous patient. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.”
“Our experience at the BLS office was extremely positive. We were dealt with courteously, efficiently and professionally. The young man at reception was extremely patient and polite to the very large amount of overseas students wishing to holiday in Spain. There must have been 25-30 young students, none of whom had completed their paperwork properly nor owned a pen. I don't know how he remained so calm. I was getting frustrated just listening. I can only commend all the staff there for a quality service.”
“Stayed for one night - was good for a small trip. Room was clean to a certain extent. Bathroom was a bit dirty but nothing too bad. Lights in bathroom were very dull and flickering. Bed was very comfortable. Overall a good hotel to stay - location was great, right next to a bus stop. Definitely would recommend. Great value for price.”
“Mark was a wonderful guide on Friday! I would highly recommend his informative, amusing tour. We learned a ton and it went at a great pace!”
“My Dad and I did the Isle of Skye, Highlands and Loch Ness three day tour with Colin and it was unbelievable. We saw so much in our three days and we got very lucky with perfect weather. The B&B they booked for us was first-class and Colin did a fantastic job as our guide. He gave us the history of Scotland, great restaurant recommendations and made our experience top notch. I would definitely use Discover Scotland again and I recommend it to anyone who wants to see more of Scotland.”
“This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Edinburgh. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the areas we biked through. Our tour was so scenic and as promised, we hardly went near the road - all trails, which was perfect for us. Having e-bikes is a must since there were lots of hills and the e-bikes make it so much easier.”
“I had a fantastic experience on the River Spey with Scott. Thanks to Scott and Stewart for coordinating. Gear was top notch and the day was a great experience on a bucket list river.”
“this was my fourth time booking a day with Callum and my second time I took my godchild (well now a young adult) Noah along. As always we had the best day ever. Everything is carefully planned by Callum, from pick-up, gear, instructions, lunch and pictures. He has such an incredible knowledge about fly fishing, the places you fish and Scotland in general. He is super patient and helps when needed. our day was fantastic (although the weather was almost too nice, yes according to Callum it can be too nice for the fish to bite ;-)) and we both caught a few small ones. but as I always say, it is not about the fish, it is about the experience. Thank you again for a fantastic day - I will be back!”
“We’ve had Tricky Ricky twice for our children’s birthdays and he’s been fabulous. Had the group of 5/6 year olds laughing away and fully entertained for the full hour both times. Thanks Tricky! Would really recommend”
“I booked a private group Dollar Canyon day trip from Edinburgh for a stag do and it was a great experience from the fast response to my first enquiry, to being dropped back at the door of our hotel after an amazing day canyoning. A few of the group had fear of heights but the team was very supportive and allowed everyone to enjoy the day. All the kit you need is provided and they will literally take your private group from door to canyon. It was the best way to blow away our hangovers! Thanks Ross and team, it was a class day!”
“I did both the Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes tours in Edinburgh with Marie, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and full of passion for both subjects. Her storytelling was captivating and brought each location to life, whether it was related to J.K. Rowling’s magical world or the life and inspiration behind Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective. Marie made the experience fun, informative, and truly memorable. I highly recommend her tours to anyone visiting Edinburgh — she’s a fantastic guide who clearly loves what she does!”
“Highlight of our Edinburgh trip! Tour guide Coco was engaging and knowledgeable, sampled lots of different chocolates and learnt about the history and the making process. Was really fun and also got to make our own chocolate bars to take home! Would recommend for anyone visiting Edinburgh.”
“The tour was absolutely lovely. We got to see amazing hidden gems around Scotland. Took the two day trip from Glasgow to Inverness to Edinburgh. Ample time was given to every spot. Our Tour guide and driver Mark (The Australian one, very important) was exceptionally friendly, full of knowledge to impart about everything we saw from the Sites to the geography of Scotland and really kept the entire tour jovial and exciting. Highly recommend to have him be the one to guide you. Everything was very convenient and flexible to the wants and needs of the entire group. Great stuff all around.”
“We had the most incredible experience with King Tours Scotland! Paul, the owner, toured me and 7 friends all over Scotland, and he truly made the trip unforgettable. He was always prompt, so much fun, and fit right in with our group as if he were one of us. Paul’s knowledge of Scotland’s history is amazing, and he brings every stop to life. Some of the highlights were a walking tour of St. Andrews, exploring Glamis Castle, and discovering hidden treasures along the coast. On top of that, he always seemed to know the best pubs for a quick snack or a perfect pint — such a bonus! If you’re considering a tour in Scotland, look no further. Paul combines professionalism with warmth and friendliness, and you’ll end up with memories to last a lifetime. Highly recommend!”
“Very emotional memorial for Polish people in Edinburgh , reminding them beautiful friendship between soldiers and wild bear during the II world war.”
