Our Bride to be wanted something different and outdoorsy that would get your adrenaline going. I can say Canyoning was the perfect activity for our Hen group, we had so much fun! Alex and Peter were brilliant at putting us at ease through every obstacle. I can say they made my fear of heights, not feel as scary. I'd definitely do more activities like this again in the future. I'd recommend this to anyone 100%
I booked a private group Dollar Canyon day trip from Edinburgh for a stag do and it was a great experience from the fast response to my first enquiry, to being dropped back at the door of our hotel after an amazing day canyoning. A few of the group had fear of heights but the team was very supportive and allowed everyone to enjoy the day. All the kit you need is provided and they will literally take your private group from door to canyon. It was the best way to blow away our hangovers! Thanks Ross and team, it was a class day!
My husband and I had an amazing time canyoning in Dollar Canyon with Ross and David from Intrepidus! Being from California, we were a little concerned about the relative cold of early May in Scotland, but the thick wetsuits and active hike to the start point kept the cold at bay. The Intrepidus team had great communication before, during, and after the canyoning experience and we felt taken care of the whole way. The canyoning experience itself: SO! FUN! Lots of variety throughout with jumps, sliding over waterfalls, abseiling, scrambling over rocky areas... just such a cool way to experience the Scottish countryside in a personal and active way. Ross and David were super familiar with the terrain and knew exactly where the dodgy spots were and how to avoid injury. I think we made it through the canyon in a little over 2 hours; we had a small group of 6 (plus our 2 guides) so I think that helped us move a bit faster. Overall, this was an adrenaline-fueled adventure in a unique outdoor setting with experienced guides. If you're interested in getting out of the city for a day and getting a well-rounded workout at the same time, look no further than Intrepidus Outdoors!
Had an incredible day canyoning for my stag party with our brilliant and friendly instructors! The day was fun, well planned and flexible if needed and we all throughly enjoyed ourselves. The equipment we all used was fantastic and we felt like we where safe and in good hands at all times. I hope to come again. The absolute highlight to an incredible weekend. Thank you!
Absolute highlight of our trip to Scotland with teens! Hard work yet exhilarating! Ross was the best guide. We had a lot of laughs, and some OMG moments! The water was spectacular. We went on a partly cloudy-rainy day. It was perfect! So much fun! Worth every pound! Highly recommend!
Had an incredible time hiking Ben Vrackie with Ross! Couldn't have asked for a better experience out in the Highlands - great weather, amazing views, an uncrowded trail. Everything was well-planned and executed, and all I had to do was show up with my hiking gear. I highly recommend Intrepidus to anyone who is looking for something more adventurous than your typical day tour!
Absolutely amazing day, all the boys had a great time, highly recommend it. Mikey and Ross were brilliant. Got picked up from Glasgow too so didn't even have to think about transport. If you're thinking about doing this trip then definitely go for it.
We had a great day out climbing Ben Ledi. Glenn was very knowledgeable, you could really feel his great love and respect for the mountains and wilderness, and he had tons of equipment/extra clothing with him in case we needed anything. The whole experience was great, from booking to pick-up and drop-off to the hotel. Will for sure book again for future Scotland trips!
Ross was my guide for the ascent/decent to the summit of Ben Nevis via the Mountain Path. Ross was absolutely outstanding. I mean that in every aspect of the entire day, as Ross will agree, was a very long one. The service by Ross; from pick up from my AirBnB in Edinburgh; the introduction from Ross; the car ride to the Visitors Centre at Ben Nevis; the safety brief before setting off; the ascent up the Mountain Path; the patience and support including some very subtle physiology in getting me to the summit; the incredible support on the decent when my legs succumbed to the riggers of the “Burn”; Ross made sure my safety and well being was paramount; making the adventure extremely and overwhelming fulfilling. I would without hesitation recommend Ross, and Intrepidus Outdoors for all of your outdoor adventures.
