“Can't beat a private tour. First time booking with ToursByLocals. Glad I found Matthew! Weeks before our arrival, we were back and forth selecting the best way to spend our day together for my family of 5 adults from Canada of Clan Cameron of Erracht heritage. Matthew was knowledgeable, funny and accommodating!! Shortly after meeting us, we had an excellent banter. We all laughed a lot. Despite a mix of sun and quite miserable wind, rain and hail, Matthew made our day touring the Inverness area perfect!!”
“An excellent tour with the highly knowledgeable and professional driver/guide, Kevin. Well worth the ticket price. We saw where ships were built in the past (my family history) and are being built now, as well as how the city and river are changing. An added bonus is that Kevin knows when to not create wash and drives safely, unlike other cowboys.”
“This experience was incredible! We left at 8:30 this morning, and our tour guide, John, was fantastic. His knowledge of Scottish history was so interesting. He even taught us some Scottish songs, and we had frequent stops to enjoy the beautiful scenery. I will definitely be booking another trip to explore more parts of Scotland. Thank you, John, for making my first experience so enjoyable! Xx”
“Liz our guide was absolutely brilliant. Easy pace and learnt so much. The Street Art is astonishing. Get on this tour, excellent intro to the wonderful city of Glasgow.”
“Scott was an outstanding tour guide during our 5-hour walking tour of Glasgow. His extensive knowledge, friendly demeanor, and enthusiastic attitude made the experience truly memorable. Not only was he very fun to hang out with, but he also accommodated our requests and provided a flexible tour that covered all the highlights Glasgow has to offer. Scott's explanations and background information were excellent, and he expertly pointed out iconic landmarks while helping with photography along the way. Additionally, his recommendations for shopping and restaurants were spot-on. Highly recommend Scott for an unforgettable Glasgow experience!”
“I had my nose piercing done by Megan and it was a very lovely experience! She made sure that the piercing was placed perfectly as I wear glasses and talked through the process start to finish. She has also been so lovely in the healing process to ensure my piercing heals correctly and looks nice!! Couldn’t ask to be pierced by anyone lovelier - I have recommended her to my pals as it’s a calm and clear process compared to previous places I’ve been to :)”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars We recently visited Glasgow Medical Rooms, and the experience was excellent. Dr. Sheila and all the staff were highly professional, friendly, and caring. The blood test, urine test, and medical examination were carried out efficiently and comfortably. We are very pleased with the service we received. Thank you, Dr. Sheila , for your outstanding care and professionalism. We truly appreciate it, which is why I’m giving a well-deserved 5-star rating.”
“We enjoyed an afternoon tea at the Castle. It has a "Highland Castle" feeling inside and outside, despite being 10 mins from city centre! The Christmas and overall decor were very cosy, and the service was excellent too!”
“The teachers are all native speakers and are very good teachers. They make the classes interesting. There are some courses which are not just language courses, for example one which I did about France's overseas territories - very interesting but also very good for my language skills.”
“We attended 3 days Isle of Skye tour with Gillian. She is a great guide, very knowledgeable and a good storyteller. The views and the places we saw were stunning. One of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Thank you!”
“A nice and quiet park I hope you will visit this beautiful place in Glasgow and it is full of beautiful history of the great country of Scotland stemming from beautiful nature”
“I came to see Chris after having had a bad experience at a different dental practice and knowing that two of my friends go here and have always been impressed. My treatment and care here has been exceptional and I only wish I had registered sooner. The rest of the staff are friendly and helpful too, and I would thoroughly recommend this place as a place you can trust.”
“We haired 2 flats for a weekend. Excellent location and lovely flats. Lots of space and well kept.”
“We have had excellent tailored service from Trailfinders, starting with in-person discussion of our proposed trip to Laos and continuing throughout the holiday. We particularly appreciated the ability to use their expertise for travel arrangements and some accommodation, leaving us space for some of our own arrangements. The Viewtrail app was easy to use and when we wanted some advice while we were away we received it immediately from a real person via Whatsapp. We will definitely use them again.”
“From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the super, helpful receptionist we knew our overnight stay was going to be great. The room was spotlessly clean and above expectations. Our evening meal was excellent with friendly staff and a good selection on the menu. The breakfast menu was faultless and Luke, Sharon and Veronica looked after us and were a pleasure to meet. Such a convenient location for the S.E.C. and a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Thanks to you all.”
“Ah, bless! We got food poisoning and had to find a place with very short notice. Not only did they accommodate us, but were very good with our situation, allowed us to check in early and helped us get back on our legs after being very sick. Location is convenient too, a nice restaurant right in front of the Inn, Macdonald's next to that and three supermarkets on the corner. We even found a dry-cleaner's close by.”
“I wish I could add more stars because this is honestly the best place I've ever stayed on Glasgow. My room did upgraded to the family suite even though it was just myself but the room was practically big enough to live in and be comfortable. Breakfast was also the best breakfast I've had in my entire life. 10/10 Definitely recommend to friends and family.”
“The best Travelodge I’ve stayed in. Recent refurb makes it feel brand new (though a bit more obvious they haven’t replaced the carpets). Is still a travelodge but a very good one. You’ve probably got to drive if you want a selection of food places or shops”
“Sarah looked after us as we booked our first cruise. She was so lovely and helpful. Gave us some recommendations and tips for the booking. Ricky was also very helpful, gave us some great advice and told us what to expect from our cruise. Would highly recommend using Hays Travel”
“Stayed here a couple of times and I have to say that as far as Premiere Inns go this is probably the best hotel nationally. New clean premises and great service all around. Quiet location off M74, but only 10-15 min to Glasgow Center. Cinema and big shops at the doorstep. Big shout-out to Denise at reception who helped make the stay of our group of 10 as pleasant and smooth as possible”
“Little bit from city centre but fantastic rooms..the kitchenettes are so handy. We stay in Glasgow 3/4 times per year and put the rooms as best value in the city. Will certainly return.”
“Was staying for 2 nights and from check in until check out it was perfect. Staff was lovely, rooms were incredibly clean, super quiet and a very well equipped kitchen. There's no plugs by the top bunks but they got extension cords so you can make it work quite easily. The beds are so comfy. Bathroom lights are quite bright so sleep mask might be good to bring but that's an essential for me anyway in a hostel. They have a very beautiful lounge room to read in, there's a whiteboard on the wall with what's on in the area. If you don't want to catch the bus it's only about 30 minutes walk to Glasgow central station or a 10 minute walk to the bus station and there's a little park right by the hostel with lots of squirrels. The whole building is just beautiful and I will definitely stay again!”
“We booked as we had a concert that evening and didn’t fancy battling the car park after ! It was reasonably priced ! Check in was a breeze ! Car park is behind the hotel who will validate your parking to reduce the cost by half. The room was just as needed ! Halls were clean and tidy very quiet despite it being a very busy hotel by the crowds downstairs having same idea we had ! Staff were friendly and helpful… late check out of 12pm was amazing as didn’t need to rush to get out early after a late night”
“Our exhilarating adventure in Glasgow kicked off with the highly anticipated Big Bus hop-on, hop-off city tour, the ultimate way to dive into the electric energy of this vibrant city! We rolled into town on Friday, September 12th, and immediately scored the ideal parking spot at NCP 15151 Kings Street, just a stone's throw away from the lively Glasgow Queens Rail Station—our gateway to an unforgettable journey! Equipped with both the A and B tour routes, we were ready to soak it all in, despite the unpredictable Scottish weather trying to dampen spirits with a chilly drizzle! The buses were perfectly timed, and their strategically placed stops throughout the city made it a breeze to hop on and off. We bravely embraced the elements aboard the open-top bus, feeling the exhilarating rush of the wind and cold as we clutched our umbrella. Some adventurous souls opted for the back seats, happily embracing the rain and huddling under their own umbrellas like true thrill-seekers, while most of us dove into the cozy, sheltered first carriage, grateful for a little warmth. Looking back, we couldn’t help but wish for more time to explore the science museum—it would have been a highlight for sure! The audio guide added another layer of excitement to our journey, enriching both tours, and even if some sights overlapped, we didn’t mind one bit. Exploring the city with the Big Bus tour was an absolute thrill, and we’re already buzzing with excitement at the thought of doing it all again during our future travels! Along the way, we met an incredible group of women from London, Sussex, and Seaside. We shared travel stories and discovered they had just come from Edinburgh, stepping off at the same stop! What a delightful coincidence—turns out they were staying at a Holiday Inn Express too, though at a different location! These magical moments filled with warm connections and friendly faces truly elevate any travel experience. As we ventured through Glasgow, we marveled at the massive changes taking place around us, especially near the bustling downtown area of George Square. While the city didn’t exactly match our online expectations, it certainly showcased its own unique charm that made our visit unforgettable. We couldn't be more thrilled to check Glasgow off our travel bucket list, and we simply can't wait to return and witness all the new vibrancy waiting for us! Riding the city’s hop-on, hop-off bus tour, complete with friendly and helpful drivers, is an absolute must for any traveler. Don’t just think about it—jump in and experience the magic!”
“As an exiled Glaswegian I returned to my favourite iconic pub for a pie and a pint. The beer was great but unfortunately the ‘peely Wally’ pie was a disaster! Gone was the pie oven on the bar (probably health & safety) replaced by a dumb waiter. More importantly the so called pie was crust and pastry with a teaspoonful of filling for the princely sum of £2.60! Please, please change your supplier and revert back to a proper greasy Glasgow pie which actually tasted of something and everyone loved and waxed lyrically about.”
“didn't buy any drinks here and still had a great time!! lovely open and accepting atmosphere:) just wish it had an accessible entrance:(”
“great venue for confernce, staff are amazing Carol ensured all needs were met,,,nothing was a problem, lunch provided by Oasis cafe was first class, Tony and lateshift caretaker. couldnt do enough,, would def recommend this venue thank you very much wil def use again :)”
“Pretty great hostel for a good quiet night. Rooms are one bed each, allowing for more privacy and quiet than most hostels. Bathrooms are clean, kitchens are well stocked, internet is fast, and it's close to the center of Glasgow. Staff is very friendly. One downside is that it's a bit hard to meet people since there's no real communal room.”
“The location was downtown and bus stops all around. The room was perfect - just as described. Shower was good. The kitchen had what we needed. The washer/dryer worked well. The area isn't ideal, but we had no trouble because we made sure we weren't out and about late at night.”
“10/10 Hailey, Aleshia, Alex and Luke treated us like family and all the staff were happy, friendly and helpful with a smile. Very professional, respectful and kind people. Generous onsite parking and a short walking distance from Glasgow airport terminals. The best premier inn in Scotland highly recommended accommodation. I will be returning again. Kindest regards Joe”
