“An excellent tour with the highly knowledgeable and professional driver/guide, Kevin. Well worth the ticket price. We saw where ships were built in the past (my family history) and are being built now, as well as how the city and river are changing. An added bonus is that Kevin knows when to not create wash and drives safely, unlike other cowboys.”

“Scott was an outstanding tour guide during our 5-hour walking tour of Glasgow. His extensive knowledge, friendly demeanor, and enthusiastic attitude made the experience truly memorable. Not only was he very fun to hang out with, but he also accommodated our requests and provided a flexible tour that covered all the highlights Glasgow has to offer. Scott's explanations and background information were excellent, and he expertly pointed out iconic landmarks while helping with photography along the way. Additionally, his recommendations for shopping and restaurants were spot-on. Highly recommend Scott for an unforgettable Glasgow experience!”

“This experience was incredible! We left at 8:30 this morning, and our tour guide, John, was fantastic. His knowledge of Scottish history was so interesting. He even taught us some Scottish songs, and we had frequent stops to enjoy the beautiful scenery. I will definitely be booking another trip to explore more parts of Scotland. Thank you, John, for making my first experience so enjoyable! Xx”

“I had my nose piercing done by Megan and it was a very lovely experience! She made sure that the piercing was placed perfectly as I wear glasses and talked through the process start to finish. She has also been so lovely in the healing process to ensure my piercing heals correctly and looks nice!! Couldn’t ask to be pierced by anyone lovelier - I have recommended her to my pals as it’s a calm and clear process compared to previous places I’ve been to :)”

“Fantastic experience! We recently departed from.Follestone kent on waverly to the pool of London Tower Bridge. Well organised throughout. Crew couldn't been more helpful despite a very busy workload. Food on board whilst simple and limited due to constraints of a boats galley was spot on.Good portions. Sometimes long queues but just came back later. Good value and profits all go to running the boat. Altho its easy to spend £70 on food and drink over the day for two. Coach pick up after the trip was top notch and well organised too. All in all a wonderful day out. 100% recommend. Don't put it off she can't last forever!”

“Great place I discovered when looking for a winter jacket last week. They advised me and showed available stock in the stock room, collected a few jackets and sold me one. I was impressed with the history of this brand. The functionality of the jacket is just as wanted with two way zip, insulation as well as wind and water proof.”

“Our exhilarating adventure in Glasgow kicked off with the highly anticipated Big Bus hop-on, hop-off city tour, the ultimate way to dive into the electric energy of this vibrant city! We rolled into town on Friday, September 12th, and immediately scored the ideal parking spot at NCP 15151 Kings Street, just a stone's throw away from the lively Glasgow Queens Rail Station—our gateway to an unforgettable journey! Equipped with both the A and B tour routes, we were ready to soak it all in, despite the unpredictable Scottish weather trying to dampen spirits with a chilly drizzle! The buses were perfectly timed, and their strategically placed stops throughout the city made it a breeze to hop on and off. We bravely embraced the elements aboard the open-top bus, feeling the exhilarating rush of the wind and cold as we clutched our umbrella. Some adventurous souls opted for the back seats, happily embracing the rain and huddling under their own umbrellas like true thrill-seekers, while most of us dove into the cozy, sheltered first carriage, grateful for a little warmth. Looking back, we couldn’t help but wish for more time to explore the science museum—it would have been a highlight for sure! The audio guide added another layer of excitement to our journey, enriching both tours, and even if some sights overlapped, we didn’t mind one bit. Exploring the city with the Big Bus tour was an absolute thrill, and we’re already buzzing with excitement at the thought of doing it all again during our future travels! Along the way, we met an incredible group of women from London, Sussex, and Seaside. We shared travel stories and discovered they had just come from Edinburgh, stepping off at the same stop! What a delightful coincidence—turns out they were staying at a Holiday Inn Express too, though at a different location! These magical moments filled with warm connections and friendly faces truly elevate any travel experience. As we ventured through Glasgow, we marveled at the massive changes taking place around us, especially near the bustling downtown area of George Square. While the city didn’t exactly match our online expectations, it certainly showcased its own unique charm that made our visit unforgettable. We couldn't be more thrilled to check Glasgow off our travel bucket list, and we simply can't wait to return and witness all the new vibrancy waiting for us! Riding the city’s hop-on, hop-off bus tour, complete with friendly and helpful drivers, is an absolute must for any traveler. Don’t just think about it—jump in and experience the magic!”

“We were lucky enough to do a day trip in Scotland with James. We all loved him (70 to 6). His knowledge of the country, how best to spend our time, humor and just all around great human made our day in Scotland one day we will never forget. We hope to come back for an extend tour and we will only come if James can be our guide. His diary books quickly. Don’t hesitate if you are considering him for a guide. You won’t regret it.”

“If you do nothing else in Glasgow, do this tour! Madeline was so well versed in all things Glasgow, history, food, and especially art. It was a special in-depth treat to spend the afternoon with her. We knew we were in for a special treat when she took us off the beaten path and handed us a train ticket! Why see touristy areas, when you can eat and see all the beautiful things of Glasgow. We had picky teenagers with us, and Madeline was quick to pivot and accommodate their diversion to all things seafood and haggis (there was even a vegetarian version to try!). We appreciated this day so much, and I believe she even sparked the desire to attend Glasgow university with our teenager and wealth of art, history, and social information of this area. Thank you!”

“Julie is the most accommodating travel agent, she arranged separate travel for our party so we could surprise the birthday girl, and she informed the hotel of the secret and they left a card and champagne in the room for her. Above and beyond. Thank you so much, it was an amazing trip from start to finish, all our travel. Secrets and events tickets sorted before we left home. Can't thank you enough.”

“Sara and Maciek and their Brambling Bus were one of the highlights of our trip and a wonderful way to end our time in Scotland! They planned the perfect itinerary in and around Stirling that included Stirling Castle, Church of the Holy Rude, Doune Castle, Deanston Distillery, and the National Wallace Monument. Maciek's love and knowledge of Scottish history was apparent and he gave us an overview of each of the sites we visited before we entered. He also took care of waiting in line and purchasing tickets for us - a real luxury! Sara was an excellent driver and expertly parked the Brambling Bus in spaces I never thought would hold it! Sara and Maciek were the perfect guides. They picked us up and dropped us off, they kept to a schedule but we never felt rushed, they recommended a wonderful place for lunch, and they stocked the bus with water and snacks (much appreciated on a hot day). We really enjoyed our time touring with them and at the end of the day we felt like we had toured Stirling with friends. We highly recommend The Brambling Bus to any one who wants to tour Scotland. We can't wait to go back and have Maciek and Sara show us more of their beautiful country!”

“This tour was the greatest trip I have ever taken. We did the 3 day Isle of Skye/Highlands Tour with our wonderful tour guide, Jim. Jim was personable, and kind. Jim was extremely knowledgeable and admirably passionate when it came to sharing the vast history, legends and facts of Scotland and the many sites we visited. Jim was a safe driver and very punctual. The tour itself is nicely paced and there are quality contingency plans in place in case of bad weather. To keep things short, the sites visited on this tour were nothing short of extraordinary, and I can assure you that your breath will be taken away at every turn and stop, including the views seen just from riding in the van to your next destination! I cannot say how much I HIGHLY recommend this tour and Jim as a guide. We hope to return to do another unforgettable tour with this company in the future, and hope to again see the vast beauty and wonder that Scotland has to offer.”

“Just to let you know about our wonderful trip to New orleans/ memphis / nashville. Highly recommended experience. The main aim was to visit Elvis Graceland but there are many additional options that were great to see such as elvis birthplace in tupelo, Tina Turner museum in Brownsville, sun Records at memphis, RCA studios in Nashville, a paddle steamer on the missisippi, and a tour of the swamps near New orleans plus many more. These trips vary. We packed a lot in but all worthwhile. Graceland was amazing and the exhibits totally over the top elvis style such as the motors and the jumpsuits. The Guesthouse at Graceland was an excellent hotel as were the other hotels included in the trip. The tour guide was excellent also and made sure your time was filled or you could arrange your own things. Nashville was wonderful to visit. Full of bars to enjoy music and the Country Hall of Fame. This trip is a great musical experience and we had a hoot of a time. Thank you Thorne Travel.”

“Highly recommend booking your next holidays/cruises with TUI Cumbernauld. I have used the Cumbernauld branch for many years now and the service you receive is first class. Today Jane helped me and she was excellent. I have also dealt with Julie too who was also so helpful and provided excellent service. All the staff are fantastic, and each one of them will assist you with all your requirements. They can often look at prices you may have seen online and will go the extra mile to help find your holiday at the best price available. Often the staff have been to been to the resort or on the cruise ship you are thinking about and can give personal feedback of their experience. The other benefit of booking in store is if anything unforeseeable happens and you need to change your holiday for any reason, you have the benefit of being able to talk to someone directly who will look at all possible options to help resolve any issues. When you are ready to book your next trip away, head to the store in the Antonine Centre, or call them directly for bookings, enquiries or advice.”

“My husband and I did the Once Upon a Whisky Tour in Glasgow on May 22, 2024. I booked this primarily for my husband since he is the whisky lover. Although we only had 3 people, our guide, Cam, decided to go ahead with the tour. We all met up at the Ben Nevis Bar in Glasgow, which is a fabulous pub! We were initially surprised that our guide was from Brazil instead of Scotland, but Cam did an amazing job, and we all had a wonderful time. He is very knowledgeable and taught us things about whisky, distilleries, and bottlers that we didn’t know. We walked to two additional bars in pouring down rain and tasted a total of 4 different whiskies. All the bars on the tour had a cozy, unique atmosphere and were fun to visit. I’m not a whisky drinker, but even I liked some of the whisky and had a blast! I would recommend this to anyone who likes whisky and visits Glasgow!”

“Can't beat a private tour. First time booking with ToursByLocals. Glad I found Matthew! Weeks before our arrival, we were back and forth selecting the best way to spend our day together for my family of 5 adults from Canada of Clan Cameron of Erracht heritage. Matthew was knowledgeable, funny and accommodating!! Shortly after meeting us, we had an excellent banter. We all laughed a lot. Despite a mix of sun and quite miserable wind, rain and hail, Matthew made our day touring the Inverness area perfect!!”
