“Dear Discover Scotland Tours Team, I just wanted to extend my deepest gratitude for an unforgettable 3-day Isle of Skye, Highlands & Loch Ness tour. It was beyond anything I imagined, truly one of the most magical and meaningful experiences of my life. A very special thank you to Billy, who was nothing short of extraordinary. His warmth, humor, kindness, and deep love for Scotland shone through every single moment. He wasn’t just a tour leader, he was the heart of the journey. The way he shared stories, music, and history made us feel the soul of Scotland, not just see it. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy, and you could tell he genuinely cared. Billy has a gift, he creates an atmosphere that’s both joyful and deeply touching. My sister and I left the tour feeling not only in awe of Scotland, but also incredibly grateful to have met someone so genuine and passionate about what he does. He made our trip truly unforgettable. Please pass along my heartfelt appreciation to Billy. He is a rare gem and an incredible ambassador for both your company and Scotland itself. Warm regards, Natalie Rashou”

“Fantastic experience! We recently departed from.Follestone kent on waverly to the pool of London Tower Bridge. Well organised throughout. Crew couldn't been more helpful despite a very busy workload. Food on board whilst simple and limited due to constraints of a boats galley was spot on.Good portions. Sometimes long queues but just came back later. Good value and profits all go to running the boat. Altho its easy to spend £70 on food and drink over the day for two. Coach pick up after the trip was top notch and well organised too. All in all a wonderful day out. 100% recommend. Don't put it off she can't last forever!”

The House is surrounded by the beautiful Calendar Park, featuring dense, mature tree growth, including both very large coniferous and deciduous trees. It is an ideal spot to relax, enjoy the tranquility, and admire the surrounding nature and landscapes. Calendar House is easily accessible; it is located approximately 25 minutes on foot from the nearest railway station, Falkirk High.”

“We have just returned from a fantastic 5 day holiday at Loch Achray. Like a previous reviewer stated we have travelled with Lochs and Glens several times and at different hotels and have always enjoyed our stays. Everyone at Achray was great, they cannot do enough for you. Our main driver Alan (Woods) I think was brilliant his knowledge of the areas we travelled to was amazing. His jokes and 'true' stories amused us all he really is a great guy. Thank you Lochs and Glens we are looking forward to planning our next trip with you in the near future.”

“We went for a drive around Scotland and kayaking in Luss was the highlight for me! Thoroughly enjoyable and would recommend! Kayaking was £30 for 2 hours which also came with the hire of a life jacket. I had my car keys and they were able to give me a life jacket with pockets. They also come as twin kayaks and you can alter your time depending on your budget and time constraints.”

    Purple Heather Scottish Tours

    ★★★★★ 5

“I'd give them SIX stars if able! From the beginning of the planning process through the end of our tour, everything was handled with professionalism and consideration of all our wishes. Our tour included everything from the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh to the Highland Games in Dunoon. Our accommodations were very good with few exceptions and most included breakfast which got us off to a good start every day. We covered much of Scotland including many lesser known places and attractions like the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies, and the Antonine Wall. We visited Orkney Island and got as far north as 59 degrees while visiting Skara Brae. We also toured the Isle of Skye, Isle of Mull and Iona. We visited many of the most beautiful castles and some ruins, along with many beautiful chapels and cathedrals. And of course, we stopped at several distilleries and pubs to sample some of Scotland's finest Whisky. We also took a ride on the Jacobite Steam Train which many will know as the Harry Potter Train. The absolute best part of our entire trip was our tour guide, Heather. Her bright smiling face every morning, her in-depth knowledge of the sites we visited and the history Scotland's Clans and of Great Britain's Lords, Earls, Kings and Queens made for a most educational experience. She would tell a story in the van on our way to a site that related to the place or history of where we were going, and would end the story just as we pulled into the parking lot. Perfect timing! The other great thing was our tour manager, coordinator Jeff. He managed to get every one of our requests fit into the tour, made reservations for dinners at locations that we choose. He even took time our of his day to meet us in person while we were in Edinburgh, just to say hello. A-Plus service! If you ever plan to visit Scotland, be sure to let Purple Heather Scottish Tours make it your best trip ever!”
