Unfortunately I couldn’t get the river cruise due to heavy rain Clyde Charters have been operating providing special day trips for customers to enjoy the hidden gems of the River Clyde and surrounding lochs. They operate trips from both James Watt Marina and Kip Marina.

Went out on the boat Obsession, crew were fantastic and the hot chocolate was the first i'd had in years. Filled a bucket of Mackerel within the three hours and the last drift gave us an extra hour over advertised. Caught 55 Mackerel and 1 Haddock during the trip, filling my bait freezer for £30. Value for money compared to the fishmonger.

Had a fab boat trip with Ed & Paula during the Wildlife & Scenic Tour. It was a very personal experience and they are both very passionate about the Firth. The scenery along the trip was just amazing and we saw lots of porpoises & birds. On the advice of Paula I got to see some seals the next day at a spot she recommended, so thank you! I hope to be back in Scotland again soon and will definitely have another trip with Firth of Clyde Boat Tours.

We had a magnificent day out with Paula and Ed. A very inexpensive way to see some amazing places from another perspective. We did the wildlife and scenic boat tour and will definitely being going out with them again to see some other places. Highly recommend

Absolutely great, they're very helpful and extremely friendly. Firstly I'd like to say a very good shout-out to the gentleman who sees to the customers (of two, the other being the driver). He asks people to stand aside when we get through the gate so users of the marina can get through safely. Anyway, he approached us so regretful and sensitive, very respectfully. He said one of the customers is very allergic to dogs, and I understand a lot of people would be stubborn with this...I can't lie, I had wondered whether the customer was prejudice towards my rottweiler, having a very bad and outdated reputation from the 80's. As with all dogs of course, except for small dog syndrome, it's all down to the owners even with our rescue. Anyway, he offered suggestions and we all agreed we'll come another day...later that day, we got a call saying there's space the next day. Awesome! The guy's a gentleman. They've got a very small vehicle ferry which at first was interesting but actually works absolutely perfectly-one deck, minus the cabin, and plenty of room for everyone to choose any of the three sides. It's a bloody bright yellow, hard to miss really haha like an NY taxi it's very appropriate to stand out. The boat is quite modest, lovely. It chugs out there when the front flaps shut and does a full circle of it first, then butts up to the well preserved sugar boat for a good view. I noticed about half the people liked touching the boat itself, and the company only warns not to put fingers in holes. It was a very tactile and not at all rushed, nor does it take too long so the cold kicks in. The sea did come over the high boat side at one point but that's due to the weather, of course. Point is, apparently they operate according to the weather...they wouldn't do it if the weather's too bad. The high sides makes one feel very safe but I doubt anyone would hoy over the side for a bath. All safe and comfortable! It's apparently a very young company, or perhaps that's for the sugar boat I'm not sure. The company being based at sea so loud with wind and waves, seagulls and while this unmentionable scenario is about, masks, my only criticism is very minor, meaning it's a grand hour out! Anyway, the only criticism is not having speakers and a microphone like a lapel or headset so he can communicate with the group loud enough, for questions and bless him, he did as best as humanly possible to verbally tell everyone information but with said noises in the surroundings and us all trying to be good with not getting too close.

Thankyou so much to the team for an absolutely wonderful day out on the Clyde Charters vessel Tonka to Wee Cumbrae yesterday . A unique opportunity to visit this truly hidden gem which I have wanted to visit my whole childhood. The island is stunning with so much history, scenery , geology and wildlife . To be allowed to just roam freely and explore the lighthouses and historic numerous buildings was a very special experience indeed. So much still to explore so we hope there will be another opportunity in the future.
