We booked for a weekend stag party and I can say Camilo runs an amazing whisky tasting tour. He is warm, ultra knowledgeable and full of passion. Plus, enjoying 4 very good whiskies in 3 beautiful Glaswegian pubs felt like great value for money. I would 100% recommend.

Once Upon Whisky was a fantastic tour of some of the top Whisky bars in Glasgow. Camilo our guide was a fountain of knowledge but the best part, he made friends of a group of strangers on our tour. SlΓ inte

Highly recommend Once Upon a Whiskey Tour. Camilo is incredibly knowledgeable on all things Scotch Whisky. The tour included a few pubs that were all fantastic. My wife and I did this tour and we aren’t big whisky people and we really really enjoyed it.

A must do tour for those with an interest in whisky. Camilo (Once Upon a Whisky) really knows his material and is most informative about whisky. The tour is fun and you have the opportunity to try single cask whiskies from various regions which aren't run of the mill name brands.

My husband and I did the Once Upon a Whisky Tour in Glasgow on May 22, 2024. I booked this primarily for my husband since he is the whisky lover. Although we only had 3 people, our guide, Cam, decided to go ahead with the tour. We all met up at the Ben Nevis Bar in Glasgow, which is a fabulous pub! We were initially surprised that our guide was from Brazil instead of Scotland, but Cam did an amazing job, and we all had a wonderful time. He is very knowledgeable and taught us things about whisky, distilleries, and bottlers that we didn’t know. We walked to two additional bars in pouring down rain and tasted a total of 4 different whiskies. All the bars on the tour had a cozy, unique atmosphere and were fun to visit. I’m not a whisky drinker, but even I liked some of the whisky and had a blast! I would recommend this to anyone who likes whisky and visits Glasgow!

My wife and I did the Glasgow West End experience. Apart from the fantastic selection of whisky tastings we were provided at each of the venues, the great part was seeing new and interesting bars. Our host also answered every annoying question and was full of detailed information on Whisky and various general knowledge trivia surrounding the subject! Also great to do this in a more intimate group of people, with the chance to make some new friends. Would recommend!

Full disclosure, we booked a 120 euro tour (for 2) which we knew would include strangers rounding out the tour group. Cam reached out in the days prior saying that no one else had booked the tour and we could either reschedule, cancel, or pay an additional 80 euros (for 2) which would also get us β€œhigher quality whiskey.” As that was the only day we had free, we chose the 80 euro option. The tour included four pubs walking distance to each other and one shot each (total of four shots) of whiskey, one per pub. While Cam was knowledgeable, though not natively Scottish, he wasn’t as versed in the details of the history or the making as I would have thought and I found my basic knowledge of the process and history a decent match for his. The whiskeys were a decent representation of what’s available, and the pubs were off the beaten track. For 60 euros each, it’s not a bad deal for 3 hours and four drams, but with the additional cost we could have spent a little more and had a driving tour to several local distilleries. I think that would be the best bang for our buck.

Superb whisky tour of Glasgow's West End, visiting some of the best pubs and drinking some of the best whisky around. Camilo is engaging and hugely knowledgeable, and shares his love of whisky enthusiastically. I can't rate this business highly enough.

What a great tour! Cam was so knowledgeable and friendly. I was travelling alone but he did so well to include the group in all of the conversations whilst also letting us get to know each other. My whisky knowledge is at a decent level but I learnt so much again in such a short space of time. Thank you!

Great time was had by all. Cam was very knowledgeable and the tour was never dull. I and my friend both learned a lot. If you are interested in learning about Malt whisky then it's well worth the money.
