We had a great day out, travelling from Glasgow to Largs, stopping at Greenock and Rothesay. The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere on board the Wavetley was great, a real sense of adventure. Travelling down the Clyde was very interesting, as we passed shipyards, docks and places of historical interest, as well as other vessels. The Waverley is a lovely ship, and is well looked after, retaining a sense of a time gone by. Would do this trip again.

Beautiful, loved the journey from Greenock to Tighnabruaich. Didn't stop in Dunoon as the weather was too bad to dock. Views from the boat are outstanding. Beware if you don't do well in huge crowds, the boat was busy. Bar had at one point one person serving. The live music was fabulous, and the band was very involved with the crowd.

Came here 4 the pics but enjoyed the atmosphere. Great day ☀️ for the passengers. Never counted but full capacity is 926 and a good few disembarked @ Custom House Quay, Greenock. Built in 1946 and still going strong (a few rebuilds notwithstanding). Lovely to see her operational.

Let's get into it - Firstly what a great sail "Doon the water". The Waverley did exactly what it said on the tin - terrific !!.But , a big but, mind you - I found it expensive on board for your food and drink - especially your alcoholic drinks .Keep that in mind - bring a big wallet and you'll be fine - all in all great day out on the Waverley..
