We questioned our decision making. A bike tour in late November in Edinburgh? Turns out it was a great decision as we had an amazing ride with Richard. We love bike tours and have done them in various cities in Europe. It is a great way to see a lot of stuff efficiently. Don’t be afraid to do an off season ride, dress appropriately and you will be fine. A side note, we have had some dodgy bikes with our tours in the past, these bikes were great really made the experience that much more enjoyable.

This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Edinburgh. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the areas we biked through. Our tour was so scenic and as promised, we hardly went near the road - all trails, which was perfect for us. Having e-bikes is a must since there were lots of hills and the e-bikes make it so much easier.

It's rare to see a place with a real 5.0 rating but they deserve it. We did the mid length tour (17km) as a family and thought it was fantastic. Our guide was the right mix of informative and chill and the whole operation seems very community oriented. The bikes were good and well suited to the task. Most of the riding is on nice paths and gets away from the busiest tourist areas (the beach section was a bit busy but totally worth it; well timed ice cream break there). We had another family with us on the ride and made fast friends so another positive. Recommended!

Fabulous 20 mile circular ride today with Richard . Great authentic way to experience Edinburgh on an easy to ride bike with wonderful friendly historical commentary in a small group . Route was really varied and nearly all off road from streets, parks, canals to the seaside . Upgrade to an ebike if you’re not fit enough for the distance. If you enjoy cycling it’s a great scenic ride to work up an appetite to have lunch in the wonderful bridgehouse cafe next door - where community centre is also supported by this business . Take a rain coat if it looks like rain and bike in shorts . Rain or shine or both it’s thoroughly enjoyable and worth every £! Great to meet Leanne and Richard - the owners of wee pedal . Don’t miss it !

An Unforgettable Edinburgh Adventure with A Wee Pedal! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our "circular journey" with A Wee Pedal was an absolute highlight of our trip to Edinburgh, a truly spectacular 20-mile ride that showcased the city's incredible beauty and history. From start to finish, this experience earned every one of its five stars! Our guide and owner, Leanne, was simply amazing. Her passion for Edinburgh was infectious, and her insights into the city's historical aspects were both fascinating and wonderfully detailed. It felt less like a tour and more like an intimate conversation with a knowledgeable friend. We learned so many interesting facts, including that Leanne is a true local, born and raised right here in Edinburgh! After a fulfilling career as an educator, she now pours her heart into A Wee Pedal, personally leading daily tours for small groups. This commitment to smaller numbers truly makes a difference, ensuring not only the safety of the group but also creating an intimate setting where you can really dive deep into Edinburgh's rich past. And here's another fantastic detail: if you opt for an e-bike, the additional cost is generously donated back to the local community. It's a fantastic win-win that makes an already great experience even better. If you're looking for a unique, engaging, and utterly delightful way to explore Edinburgh, look no further than A Wee Pedal. We can't recommend it highly enough!

What a great service is A Wee Pedal. Leanne is amazing and helped my two boys, 7 and 4 to learn to ride their bikes. My 7 year old was very used to his bike with stabilisers but just not ready and preferring his scooter. My 4 year old was quite confident in his balance bike but never pedaled before. Leanne helped both to be confident, to have fun when learning and they just progressed with each lesson! If like me you are reading reviews to check if this could help your child, I can assure you they are just the best!

Highly recommend Wee Pedal and Leanne Farmer. We had Leanne teach cycling for our son and she has been brilliant who has been patient, extremely encouraging and makes learning so much fun. Our 6 year old boy moved from cycling with stabilisers to riding independently with confidence in just 2 lessons. Thank you once again!

Leanne gave our children such confidence, especially our daughter after falling off her bike x2 years ago. Leanne’s enthusiasm and encouragement was second to none. She encouraged our children to think of their favourite activities to help achieve the correct body balance on their bikes which was absolutely brilliant and a game changer! We would highly recommend A Wee Pedal to anyone. Especially parents who are finding it a challenge teaching their little ones to ride a bike. If we’d known about Leanne before we received another glowing recommendation, we’d have booked sessions with her sooner!

We had a fantastic experience with Leanne and can’t thank her enough for helping us. Communication is easy and efficient, and the lessons were easy to arrange. When we arrived Leanne was really quick to put us at ease and build confidence quickly. My 10 year old had completely given up believing he would ever ride a bike and in 2 sessions Leanne returned his confidence and got him cycling on his own. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend A Wee Pedal to anyone needing support with their cycling.
