This was an unexpected trip for me, it was just superb. I booked online and paid £21 for the landing trip to Inchcolm Island and Abbey. I have Historic Scotland Membership, otherwise, you are an extra £8 for the Abbey on the Island. The whole trip lasts three hours with Ihr 30 minutes on the Island which is ample time. It is quite fantastic to sail under the Forth Railway Bridge, what a structure it is. We saw seals on route and were given a running commentary as we sailed - it was very good. Once on the Island you are welcomed by the Historic Scotland warden. It is a very helpful what to expect and general do and don't on the Island. On route back we were taken under the other two bridges that cross the Forth. This is a highly recommended trip, make sure you wear good clothes and shoes. It is colder on the water, it was September and I had a hat on. I also took my own packed lunch as there are no facilities on the Island.

It's been a nice little cruise on the Firth of Forth. I learned a lot about the bridges and islands in the Forth. One can land on Inchcolm Island, but today I just took the short cruise. The crew was perfectly friendly.

Absolutely loved my trip on the boat. You learn so much. I'm fascinated by the design of the bridges but you don't appreciate how huge they are until the cruise. The crew were lovely and I would go again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time on the maid of the forth this morning. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We managed to get great seats and really you would have had great views wherever you sat in the boat. We have one 5 year old and one 10 year old, I was a little worried about the younger one, but I was absolutely fine, very safe and we were able to move around the boat and also get a tunnocks caramel wafer to keep him going ! There is lots of information on the sound system of the area which is very helpful to know what’s around you. We were also lucky enough to see seals ! I would definitely return for another trip and I highly reccomend. Loos on board clean and tidy.

Amazing experience , you will enjoy every minute on water ,as views during entire trip are breath taking. Depended on weather , ride could be more or less exiting as waves sometimes could be really choppy. You will have great insight on all 3 Bridges , and all surrounding areas. Also you will heard audio description for things that ship is passing currently , so great opportunity to improve your knowledge about South Queensferry.

Brilliant trip, definitely the highlight of our sightseeing trip in Edinburgh. The commentary is very informative. There is plenty of space on the boat and we managed to get some great seats on the top deck which is amazing when the weather is nice. Stunning views of the 3 bridges. We saw lots of seals on one of she smaller islands which was great. We stopped off at the Abbey which was well worth the extra money. Great trip and we'd definitely do this again the next time we visit Edinburgh.

Brilliant trip. Would highly recommend. Easy to book. Decent sized vessel. We were very pleased that the heating was on as it was a tad chilly but the sum came our and we got some wonderful photos. Lovely gift shop and very friendly informative staff. Pre recorded commentary just right, I dislike it when it's constant
