This is a very quiet and cozy hotel near the bus stop in university of Edinburgh.Itβs very convenient to take a bus to the center about 15 minute. Hiking on the mountains is also convenient! The location is so perfect! The service in the hotel is kind and sweet, everyday cleaning and snacks.Totally,itβs a great choice to have a trip to Edinburgh.

Positives : 1. Rooms are very cozy, and clean. 2. Washroom was spacious and Toiletries came in huge bottles and very posh. 3. Parking is private and free, which was very convenient. 4. Staff are friendly. Negatives; 1. No hair dryer which is kinda basic in a 4 star hotel. I took a shower in the morning and had to spend entire day with wet hair. I called in from 9-9:30am to request one, but no one from reception attended the call. 2. Breakfast buffet option was way too limited. NO EGGS OR TOAST EVEN! This was served in a very small table with limited pieces and they kept running out. They were urging people to order off their menu, which shouldnβt be a case if breakfast was paid extra! The term continental breakfast did not suit. 3. The reception desk was not 24/7, it was till 10pm if my memory is right. NB ; 1. It is part of University of Edinburgh and situated within one of the campus. 2. Canβt set room temperature, but can adjust the radiator.

We stayed here for our first time visiting Scotland, the stay was pleasant for the most part, but for a 4-star hotel it really didnt meet the expectations at all, especially considering we paid for a 4 star hotel quality service. First thing upon entering the room, the tv wasn't connecting, we tried to search for channels but there was nothing coming up. The room did have heating but as the weather was very cold, we asked for an extra blanket. They didnt have blankets so they offered to provide us with a double duvet, so we accepted this and the receptionist told us someone would be leaving the duvet in the room. As we went back later on, we find the duvet and the cover thrown on the floor, not even on top of the bed, and we had to insert the duvet into the duvet cover ourselves too. Picture below attached exactly how we found it. Breakfast was good, but for a continental buffet it was lacking a lot of food. There was very little food variety to go around, there was no toast on the buffet table either, and people had to ask the waiters for bread. In our case we had to order something off the menu. Despite this, the room was very cosy and warm, the bed was super comfortable and we were provided with welcoming treats too.

This is my favorite hotel in Edinburgh. Quiet and tranquil with gorgeous Arthurβs Seat views. The staff here are amazing, hospitable, friendly, they go out of their way to help and are especially concerned about guests who may be choking or coughing while eating. The rooms are modern and clean and the beds are comfortable, windows can open for fresh air. The food is excellent and the cozy space is homey. Itβs adjacent to the Scott hotel, with its lush velvet lounge and posh brasserie, giving Downton Abbey vibes.

I did a lot of research to find a good hotel in Edinburgh. It seemed many in this price range didn't have the best reviews and this one did. So glad I booked here the staff were attentive and friendly. The breakfast was really good and high quality. The tea tray in the room was restocked every day again with high quality teas, hot chocolate and biscuits. The toiletries were also really nice and in large bottles so no issue running out and more environmentally friendly. My fave thing about this hotel were the beds and pillows- wow! I have back issues and this was one of the comfiest hotels Iβve stayed in I couldnβt wait to get in bed! We got taxis into the centre which ranged from Β£7 in the morning to Β£9 in the evening but worth it for the peace and quiet, the surroundings are very nice. We didnβt get to use the bar or restaurant but the meals looked reasonably priced and sounded delicious. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel surpassed our expectations. From the welcome to the check out, it was fantastic. The service from the staff was outstanding and our room was beautiful. Then after a wonderful sleep, breakfast was fresh and very very tasty. Altogether a terrific stay. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

A very welcoming and friendly hotel. Immaculate rooms with iron, ironing board, safe, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Great shower and good quality toiletries. Beds are wonderfully comfortable and rooms are warm. Restaurant food is delicious and service is speedy but friendly. I'm more than happy to recommend this hotel and I will use again.

Lovely hotel! Staff were so helpful in telling us which buses to get into the centre. The bus is VERY reliable, we've been into town and back to the hotel several times in one day. The room was a lot nicer than we were expecting, modern and clean! The cafetiere coffee was a huge bonus. Bathroom is ultra modern with a waterfall showerhead. Very reasonably priced - Absolutely would stay again.

A very nice hotel, beautiful location, friendly staff. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the views from the windows are amazing. The breakfast could it be tastier, but I got the vegetarian version of the Scottish breakfast, and maybe thatβs why it wasnβt so good. The bus stop is just right outside of the hotel and it will take you everywhere you to go. It is within walking distance to the city center, but if youβre in a hurry I strongly suggest taking the bus. I will definitely choose this hotel the next time I come.

Excellent staff and an awesome breakfast with unlimited helpings. Room was small but had everything. They do have larger rooms. Its a distance from the market but great for hiking and walking specially if you want to go to the Hollyrood park. There is an in house restaurant and bar. Its a part of the University. There are other University accommodations before this on the same road.
