Have done the vaults tour twice now (3 years apart) & did not disappoint. The tour guides are funny, well informed & knowledgeable. There is a lot of history & it’s very cool. Fraser was our guide first time & Kieron the second. Definitely haunted as heard someone telling us to Get Out & was told this is what the ghost of The Watcher does. Also got a picture of the hallway with what appears to be a figure walking down it. 10/10 would recommend coming here with Auld Reekie Tours!

Had a great time on the underground vaults tour! Luisa was a fun and entertaining guide, and did a great job leading the tour. She shared the colorful history of the vaults and some en route points of interest, and added the creepy spin the vaults deserve. Very fun!

I’m glad I did see the vaults as it is very interesting such things exist under the streets above. These tours were recommended on tik tok and this particular tour group seemed to be more enthusiastic/ entertaining from the things I’ve seen on tik tok, and that is exactly what we got, James, our guide was so enthusiastic and a nice guy, you could tell he likes his job and so it’s lovely to listen & learn about the vaults from him. We enjoyed the tour!

We had a fantastic experience with Brendan! With a good balance of history, drama, and spookiness he managed to be everything we could have wanted from a tour guide! It was very informative and interesting with lots of local history of an otherwise hidden part of the Old Town. Brendan was funny and high energy throughout the tour and we thoroughly enjoyed his take on the odd goings on from the vaults!

Fantastic hour! We had James guide us around, who was brilliant! You could tell he loved his job and loved teaching everyone the secrets of the vaults! We booked at the office 10mons before it started (visit in October + using the Scottish Pass) and ended up on effectively a private tour as noone else came so win win for us!

Marcus was a brilliant tour guide for the large group we were part of. He kept it very entertaining and didn't skip on the gruesome details. We stopped off at few interesting locations before going into the vault, which was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend doing a vault tour and I will definitely be looking into their other tours when I next visit.

Andrew was amazing. He was funny, informative, entertaining, and added just enough scary. (I'm not one that likes scary things so it was the perfect amount) The vaults were very interesting to walk through and understand the history of them. Before we got to the vaults he gave a great overview of the history of punishment and death. I would strongly recommend the Underground Walking Tour and I would strongly recommend Andrew (not that you get to choose).

My group of four had a great time on the Auld Reekie tour of the vaults. We didn't sign up for the haunted tour but our guide, Josh, regaled us with plenty of spooky stories that left us with goosebumps down our backs. It was very interesting to hear the the rediscovery of the vaults and see the historic spaces in person. Some of the decor and antics were campy but all in good fun.

Darren was a brilliant guide. He was super witty and gave us loads of really interesting information and stories about the vaults. He even offered to answer any questions we had after the tour finished. Value for money is amazing considering how personal it felt. One hour flew by, we wish we could have been there longer. We were so interested in the stories he told us we continued our research when we got home! We would highly recommend this tour to everyone, especially those who like the darker history of an old and (potentially) haunted city. We got our tickets at the tourist kiosk towards the top of the Royal Mile (outside the Bank of Scotland) the day before.
