Highly recommend this company! Our group of six friends did the Highlands, Whisky, and Castles private tour from Edinburgh. Sandy was quick to respond to all my questions when planning the day trip and helping to tailor the itinerary to our interests and customize a couple of the stops. Communication and follow-up during the booking process was great, and our guide, Calais, arrived early to pick us up - the car was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Calais was an exceptional tour guide, super friendly and personable. He provided great stories and history during the drive and castle tour (definitely more interesting than the standard audio tour!), and kept us on pace throughout the day while not making anything feel rushed. The whisky and chocolate pairing at Lindores Abbey Distillery was fantastic - beautiful tasting room and facility, we all really enjoyed the whisky and local chocolates. We had a great day - perfect way to get out of Edinburgh for the day and see more of Scotland during our trip. I look forward to touring with Experienced Tours in the future!

I highly recommend this company for any of their excursions. Our driver, Cali, was waiting outside our hotel door just before pickup time at 9:00 a.m. He was an excellent driver, and very friendly. Lots of information through narrative and we were very comfortable with his driving skills and knowledge of the history of his country. We were fast friends right from the start. He knew all the right places to show us and we had plenty of stops. We had lunch at Loch Ness and ice cream in Pitlochry. Nothing was rushed and he knew all the back roads to avoid any traffic and crowds. The beautiful Mercedes van was well appointed with a cute little refrigerator loaded with drinks and snacks. It sure didn't hurt that we had gorgeous weather. Warm and sunny. This afforded us some great views that are often shrouded in rain or fog. Cali dropped us off at about 8 pm And we were sorry the day was over. If we can get back to Scotland, we will definitely use Experienced Tours again.

We arrived in the heart of Scotland—Glasgow—where we were greeted by Sandy’s warm Scottish smile, setting the perfect tone for our adventure. Our first stop was the iconic Loch Lomond, a breathtaking destination of wild beauty and serene landscapes. However, Mother Nature had other plans. The skies opened up, drenching us in a cold, relentless rain, with temperatures hovering around 50°F. As we braved the misty downpour, I couldn’t shake the feeling of déjà vu—it was as if we had stepped straight into a scene from James Bond’s Skyfall. I could almost hear Albert Finney’s voice as Kincade, saying, “Welcome to Scotland.” It felt like Scotland was welcoming us in the most authentic way possible—thankfully, without Kincade firing a shotgun, but instead with a soaking mix of wind and rain. Despite the weather, Sandy was phenomenal. Her experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm made this one of the best tours we’ve had in Scotland. She kept our spirits high, weaving in fascinating history, local legends, and personal stories that made every stop unforgettable. And to top it off, her transportation was first-class—comfortable, clean, and perfect for navigating Scotland’s stunning landscapes. If you’re looking for a top-notch guide who delivers an authentic and enriching Scottish experience, Sandy is the one to book!

We had a fabulous vacation with our guide, Calais! Not only was he an amazing tour guide, taking us on hikes and providing wonderful commentary on current and historical areas, but he was absolutely amazing with my three children. He was fun, patient, and just a really great person. We all enjoyed our vacation with him and hope we get to see him again in the future!

We did a tour of Islay. It was absolutely FANTASTIC! Calais, our tour guide, took our trip to “trip of a lifetime” status. He was incredibly attentive, efficient, patient, kind, thoughtful and a wealth of history and knowledge. The way the tour was arranged was nothing short of perfect, and Calais went above and beyond to make our trip extra special. I cannot recommend this company enough! I would definitely utilize their services again!

Have been working with Alexander to reschedule a trip originally planned for summer of 2020. Then, and now, his attention to personalized service has won me over. I have asked numerous questions and made different requests. Alexander quickly responds to them all (and never seems irritated with the multiple questions he receives from me :-) ). Already, Alexander seems like an old friend, not just a face on the other side of the world. He is working with us to make recommendations and personalize our trip, which you don't get with the normal "bus tour." The ability to dedicate all of our trip time to just me and my sister is another reason we chose this option over other group tours. I think

We rode with Kelly Wednesday March 4to Loch Ness. The scenery was spectacular but Kelly went above and beyond. She brought personal stories along with music that her father wrote. It was a long day but she was so professional and entertaining that it became an adventure. Good job

Used Experienced Tours for my recent family visiting Edinburgh. We went up to Stirling Castle, Lake Lomond and Deanston whiskey Distillery for a tour and a dram! Their tour van was very luxurious and Alexander had great stories and history of the region. Would definitely book again. Thanks Alexander!!

Great service by your company. Went to St Andrews and stood on the bridge. Coastal route was amazing. Lots of history. The guide Sean was very friendly and knew a lot of the history that he brought to life. Recommended.

Definitely reserve a tour with Experienced Tours! From the moment Alexander arrived to pick us up from our guest house, we knew we were going to have fun. Alexander customized the day as we went along - giving us options, making changes as we added in other stops of interest, balancing historical information with interesting anecdotes, stopping when we saw the perfect photo opportunity, recommending other things to explore the next day, and treatings us like friends. This was the best day of guided adventure ever! Thank you, Experienced Tours, for giving us great memories.
