Disgusting dirty smelly awful places to spend a night. We left after day1. We should have asked for a refund as the cabins were under cared for. The toilets were disgusting. The only good thing was the cats.

If I could give a minus rating it would be minus 664 which is how many miles we drove to get there. So, directions to the pit are a bit like reading a noodle packet in Swedish. Next - Parking..great for a kid who loves muddy puddles, not great if you value your car. The Hike - well, it takes approximately an hour to work out what direction to head to your pod. The confusion creeps in as you look around and see 1) a pod graveyard 2) the local tip and 3) several paths to try. The Pod - Pod is a bit nice if a word lets go woth Grandpas derelict shed. Before you enter put on gloves and hazmat suit. Unclean, rubish left from previous victim, unsecure window and tissue shoved in the roof to protect you from the rain. If you got this far - Well done The Bathroom - is more of a health hazard than a bathroom. Unlockable door...nice. filthy, stinky, damp, all round unhygenic. Oh this is also where you will charge your phone IF the ONE socket is available.. It wasn't when i was there. This means leaving or staying with your mobile phone in what I can only assume is an aids infested bathroom. I only looked in and took photos, I'm prerty sure I now need de contaminating and will book myself in for a blood test when I return to safety. I tried to contact owner who refused to answer a call. Good Luck.

This place is disgusting! There's rubbish piled high everywhere. When you get to the pods they are NOT clean, they leak and are unfit for purpose. The toilets will transmit you a disease if you step inside (we won't mention the shower) and the one electric "charging " point is near the sinks in the toilet area. RUN AWAY FROM HERE AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND NEVER LOOK BACK

2 1/2 stars ....Cabins great if you are average build, it's in a beautifull area ,(wee heads up no lighting on path if you left the site for the day would need to carry a torch) toilets and shower needs cleaned and maintained on a regular basis as only 2 toilets and 1shower (shower door did not close) and cubicle had a window with no glass in (showering with wasps). Would not take much to turn this around which is the frustrating bit..

This place is an absolutely amazing wee find, (take road to mansion) and cheaper than a normal campsite. Pods are clean and really cunfy, some even come with picnic benches and barbecues! Such a beautiful space and so quiet, the set up for campfire is well thought out surrounded by benches all round & there is a even a store with free firewood. Owner has volenteers working on the area so can only imagine it will get better and more beautiful in time if that's even possible. One I'll be going back too again and again.
