Very good hotel. I liked the shower, the hand wash, the shower gel and the bed. I had a toastie for dinner with chips and it was excellent. It's close enough to the airport to walk but biggest drawback is the poor condition of the footpath and then the lack of footpath. There is a bus from the hotel to the airport, which is very frequent, but I would prefer to walk

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The place is clean, comfortable, and well looked after. What made the experience even better was the service. They were very accommodating with my early check-in, which helped a lot. A big shout-out to David at reception — he was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. His support and positive attitude made everything easy and smooth. Overall, great service, great staff, and a great stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily come back again.

We stayed here twice, two different rooms. Both rooms had extremely uncomfortable beds. We had very poor sleep before our flights. We also ordered food. It never came, we had to ask where the food was and they said there was a system error. Once we got the food, the portion and presentation was terrible for the price. Expect far better from Holiday Inn Express and IHG having stayed at many of their hotels elsewhere. Also... you have to pay for the airport hotel shuttle! Or its an unpleasant 20 minute walk.

We stayed here for 3 nights during an event at the Royal Highland Centre. Location couldn’t have been more perfect as the entrance is a mere 3 steps away from the hotel car park. Getting here was easy off the main road as was parking. Just remember to pay for your parking in reception and not using the qr codes in the car park as you’ll get it half price. Check-in was a breeze with all staff polite from the moment we arrived to the time we departed. Reception has a small shop area with drinks and snacks and a vending machine with all your holiday essentials that you likely forgot to pack. The airport terminal is only a 15min walk away too but constant shuttles work their way from the hotel if you arent up for a walk. The airport terminal has a tram stop which for £10 return takes you straight into the centre of Edinburgh. Our room was 34 on the ground floor. Great size and spotlessly clean. Great to see dove hand wash, body wash and shampoo along with the usual tea and coffee stuff, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Only complaint is the mattress is well past its shelf life and all its spring has sprung. Very soft and we just kept rolling into the middle but beyond that the room was perfect. Free unlimited breakfast in the morning. Muffins, croissants, pancakes machine, cereals as well as the typical hot choices like sausages, bacon, eggs etc. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely go back.

Hopefully there are better rooms, but the first one I was given had a bathroom vent fan that sounded like the planes taking off were in my room. The second room seemed quite nice, with a skylight and couch, but then discovered the bathroom vent didn't work at all, nor did the towel heater, the shower drain didn't drain, and the kettle didn't work. The front desk guy informed me I needed to try my key card again. He was right, but required a trip downstairs as I was trying to go to bad. Also, the deadbolt I saw had been ripped off and is now totally just gone. For a reasonably nice looking place, it needs a little attention. Also, 4 pounds for a shuttle ride to the airport, and you have to pay to park here despite the website saying free parking. Not holding my breath for a good breakfast tomorrow, but maybe.

I enjoyed staying here. The room was very comfortable, and the shower was fabulous. Although the hotel was quite busy, it was very quiet during the night. They serve a very basic breakfast from 4am and the airport shuttle every 15-20min is definitely a plus. Great value for money.

Great room for overnight stay for 3 of us before our flight from Edinburgh. Staff were lovely and very helpful made us feel welcome. Room was lovely, comfortable and very spacious. Breakfast was continental as we left early but very enjoyable. Would use again and also recommend.

The rooms are decent, the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. What they don't tell you is that hot breakfast is served during "peak hours", whenever that is. If you have an early morning flight this does the job, but you are paying a lot for what you are getting. Also, they charge 4£/person for the bus to the airport, which feels like it should be included in the price. The airport is within walking distance anyway, so I would recommend doing that if you are able and want to save a little money.

Great hotel to stay at if you're only passing through Edinburgh airport. A free shuttle bus (located all the way to the right of the bus terminal when you exit the airport) is a 10 minute drive to the hotel. Oddly you need to pay £2.50 per adult from the Hotel to the airport on the same shuttle bus. I would have expected this to be free. Staff and service was good. We stayed in rooms 112 and 22 which were both quiet considering the proximity to the airport runway. Plane watchers need only stroll 50 yards out of the hotel to enjoy takeoffs and landings. Not sure all rooms are so quiet because I witnessed one pair of tourists asking to change their room due to noise. The staff kindly accommodated them immediately. Beds were clean and comfortable however the sofa bed was not. Luckily small kids don't complain. NB Dinner served from 5-9pm. The hotel only accepts cards. Food was fine just don't expect any fresh salads of light dishes. Think more veggie curry, pizza, macaroni and cheese, ham cheese chicken fillet etc...
