Fascinating tour, really eye opening and gave an insight into the history of the troubles and daily life during them. The guide was very knowledgeable and having lived through it, was able to give personal anecdotes. A highlight of our 7 day NI trip for sure.

Our tour guide Colin was very informative and friendly. He gave us lots of interesting information about life in the time of the troubles, with great personal insight as he grew up in Belfast during this period. He drove us around to many sights and murals and allowed us to get out of the cab to take photos, chat about the history and was happy to answer any questions we had. Great experience would recommend black cab tours with Colin.

Sean was a class act, and the tour was an incredible look inside the time period known as "The Troubles." The tour is 90 minutes, and Sean was happy to stop along the way, explain the different murals/points of view, and happy to take photos of my wife and I along the way. Additionally, he fairly represented both points of view, and I believe this is a must if you are going to visit both Northern Ireland and the Republic. In fact, even if you are staying here in Belfast, it is a must. Belfast is an amazing city with a complicated history, and I feel like I am leaving here having got what I was looking for - a good time learning about a different country.

The Black Taxi Tour is an absolute must for anyone visiting Belfast. And my guide, Tony, was the perfect native to give me the first-hand knowledge and history of Belfast. We went to the primary major sites of Belfast that have defined the city, but with the perspective from a local guide that you don't always hear about or is not prominently discussed in the history books. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. Brilliant.

Gerard our tour guide was friendly knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. Learning about the history of Belfast was so fascinating. Highly recommend doing.

This is a excellent tour, with alot of information given by Jimmy, the guide regarding the history of the city and provided a political and impartial point of view. I wad picked up & dropped back off outside the Leonardo Hotel in the city centre and tue tour lasted 1 hour but it was expensive at £50 for an individual ticket and I got that at a discount when I enquired about the online £60 price tag. We drove through the Protestant & Catholic sides of the city, separated by the wall and the gates. The Peace Wall was the highlight of the tour for me, reading what people have wrote in years gone by, whereas the gates themselves were most surprising & shocking. I did this tour in March 2023 and it was a typical early spring day - sun & showers. We got out of the cab a couple of times to look at murals closer up so I would recommend sensible footwear and suitable clothing for the weather.

We picked this tour as it was shorter than some of the other tours and we had a 6 year old with us! It was a fascinating well balanced insight into The Troubles. Growing up in the UK, The Troubles were a regular feature in the news but always from a British perspective. Our guide shared his personal connections to the troubles and experiences growing up. We toured famous conflict points and murals with a colourful engaging narrative from our guide. Our 16 year old was so interested he would have happily done a longer tour. A definite must do experience for anyone visiting Belfast. Thank you.

Very informative! We learned so much about the tension in Belfast- past and present. Mr. Lyons did an excellent job as guide and driver, adding personal experiences to the tour.

This was a fantastic experience that was wonderfully conducted by our very engaging humorous and knowledgeable guide John(Jackie) 1/11/22 His detailed knowledge and presentation was something else. We could only recommend this tour highly and were delighted with John's brilliant unbiased presentation of a very sad and troubled time in our country. Thankfully times are changing for the better. Thanks. Pat Mary and Padraig. Co Clare.
