“Food was gorgeous! I had a turkey and ham dinner. We ordered coffees but after 25 minutes they never arrived so we paid the bill and went elsewhere. We phoned the week prior to book a table and were told just to arrive. We were queued out the door but only had approximately 10 minutes to wait for a table. Staff were very friendly. It was very noisy with people so it was quite difficult to have a conversation.”
“Expensive and a bit hit & miss with the courses. Sometimes the overwrought, complex nature of the dishes worked, and sometimes it didn't. (I do understand that you could argue that the complexity is the whole point.) So as an example one of my favourite dishes was the Venison Carpaccio, and it was perfect just how it was. But do you remember that horrible Kellogg's breakfast cereal "Special K" that people pretending to be on diets would punish themselves with? They'd inexplicably added homemade "Special K", a bit of moss, plum chutney, beetroot, and various bits of flower petals, and it felt unnecessary. However on the other side of that, they'd done God only knows what to the trout, and that was an absolute joy. And so it went on... 7 courses later and over £300 down for two people I would still recommend this as an experience, as something interesting and different. Also I must give a special mention to the Barman and the other staff, who were all fantastic. And they all seemed weirdly happy, which was a refreshing change for the mid-20s.”
“A hidden gem just off the Boucher Road. As a regular customer I have found the staff warm and welcoming. The menu is wide ranging, and the food is great. Breakfast is class, and I would recommend the Bolt Breakfast if you like a traditional fry, however theres lots of healthier options too. The restaurant is good size with a series of different seating options.”
“Excellent meal, which started with the fish chowder served with warm bread and continued with the fish of the day for me and the duck for my wife. Both entrees were well prepared and attractively presented. Desserts were tasty and a delicious end to a memorable dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Great local Irish restaurant! The taste was great and the seafood was fresh. The starter calamari was exceptional. Lovely atmosphere with artistic touches in the restaurant, would recommend.”
“Delightful experience. Well deserved one star. The room is both stylish and relaxing. Service is warm and attentive but not fussy. The food was inventive and always delivered flavour with flair. The wine list is well curated and not overwhelming. Lots of variety and price points with a wide range of by-the-glass wines. We didn't go for matching wines but the sommelier Nick gave us great recommendations. Highly recommend for a special dinner.”
“Excellent quality food at a keen price - I am strictly coeliac and the gluten free options were both tasty and carefully prepared to avoid contamination. Staff were polite and attentive. Hard to fault in any way really, and especially at this price.”
“Stopped here for lunch and what a find! Really good food and beautiful decor. The specials were very tasty and great value too.”
“Best experience as the staffs are all lovely although we were the last table remaining”
“Great service as always highly recommend the Kansas chicken in either paninni or sandwich”
“We got the large breakfast fry here at Hedleys Restaurant and it was so delicious! The staff were so kind and welcoming, would definitely come back next time I’m in Belfast :)”
“As a breastfeeding mum, Goodfellas was super welcoming, comfy, and no fuss about feeding my baby. The food? Absolutely delicious (the chicken Kiev hit the spot!), with generous portions. Staff were lovely and made us feel right at home as always. Highly recommend for great food and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe!”
“What a spot and always has been. Booked for a table of 16 night before and no issues. Amazing food and even better service. GF menu. Highly recommend.”
“I had the pan-fried salmon with chorizo, and it was absolutely out of this world, perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. What truly made the experience exceptional was the service. I came in alone for dinner and was made to feel so welcome. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and professional, some of the best service I’ve experienced anywhere. I’m staying nearby at the Clayton Hotel, and this place is hands down the best spot for food in the area. A real small hidden gem, highly recommended whether you’re dining solo or with company.”
“Absolutely fantastic food, brilliantly unique classic tapas. Plenty you'd not see anywhere else. Service was very good. Vick was a gentleman, he put in a lot of effort. Overall couldn't fault the experience in anyway. 6 dishes, 2 drinks, a dessert, tea and coffee came to £103.”
“Perfect treat for my sister’s birthday while we visited Belfast. Lovely warm welcome from the host then served by the fabulous Josh, who was relaxed and fun, yet professional at the same time. Thank you Six by Nico for some wonderful food!”
“The quality of food, flavours, ingredients and customer service is as good as it gets. The venue is tidy, immaculately clean and well laid out. The general atmosphere and background music, make it the best place to eat in Belfast”
“Coppi was amazing. I was there for my graduation celebration the week leading up to Christmas and it was so good. Our visit really topped off a really happy day marking the end of my studies in Belfast. We had the choice of ordering from the Christmas menu or the regular menu - we went for the regular. The only snag when I tried to make a reservation was the website not allowing reservation for more than a group of 6, so I had to call. Food was yum - try the nachos and thank me later. Service was attentive. Really can't fault it. Overall, a really positive experience!”
“I took my family to Oliver's for Sunday lunch as we heard the sad news that they were closing. The food was superb and the staff very friendly. It's very sad to see a good restaurant have to close it's doors, I know Peter has done everything he possibly could to keep Oliver's running, sadly it is just not good times for the hospitality trade. My family wish Peter, his family and all the the staff the very best for the future.”
“The food was really great, we had the monkfish, steak and lamb. As well as some delicious starters and desserts! The staff made sure we were well looked after even though there were a few really large groups! We thought we had booked into SHU but were seated in the downstairs area "Juls". It had a slightly different atmosphere with music with quite a loud bass. Not sure if the music was turned down or we got used to it but wasn't noticeable after a while!”
“This is my favourite café in Belfast. It is simple, straightforward and down to earth. The breakfast is wonderful, well cooked and not greasy. I've also had a couple of the lunch options - fish and chips and chicken goujons. Both were excellent. Lovely curry sauce, none of this fruity business, good little lick off of it. They take card or cash. The staff are very efficient yet you don't feel rushed. Far better than the like of Bob and Bert's. First class. Very highly recommended!”
“Very nice food selection, very tasty. Staff is polite and every so often check if everything is fine. Atmosphere is quiet and decor is modern. Very nice spot for lunch”
“Wow this was a stunning restaurant within the Merchant hotel (where we were staying for two nights). Got a reservation easily on a Saturday night. Fillet steak medium was amazing, with a side of garlic potatoes. Great experience with the tableside Irish Coffee too. I recommend!”
“The food is so lovely and tasty. I’ve never had such amazing food cater my food allergies. It’s presented so well. I’ve not been disappointed at all. The pictures talk a lot.”
“Staff were very pleasant and keen to serve. The food was beautiful. My seafood dish contained almost as many prawns as usually served in a purely king prawn dish, but augmented with monkfish and squid. I would thoroughly recommend.”
“What a find. Fantastic Indian Restaurant on Saintfield Road at The Inns. Loads of parking at the rear and well served by Translink. The menu is comprehensive and will satisfy all tastes. It is licensed. Lovely friendly staff. We'll be back.”
“Had lunch here on 02/09/2025. Marvellous variety on the starters/lightbites menu - loads of unusual dishes, so we were spoiled for choice. Chose beef nachos and the crab claws in an Asian sauce with a cheese and onion bap. Everything was delicious, well presented and great portions. The sauce with the crab was so tasty, I used my teaspoon to eat it like a soup. Excellent altogether.”
“Wow. Where do I start. From the gin cocktail mixed by Christian right through to the very end, the meal was five star. Alex and Christina were wonderful waitstaff/ sommeliers who guided us through the meal from start to finish. The Amuse Bouche, the pigeon, the chicken were perfectly sauced and balanced, on a quiet Thursday night, the attention to detail was perfect. And excellent wine list, and suggestions from Christina to match the cheese course was spot on. I can’t rate Blank highly enough! Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.”
“Great food at fantastic prices and excellent service. The staff are also lovely and friendly. I would highly recomend this wee place.”
“Tried this for the first, second and third time; the food has been consistently outstanding. Large premises but don't let that put you off, needs more people for an atmosphere. I would recommend the chicken tikka shalzlek or lamb hot pot, tandoori king prawns are also a hit alongside the pishwari naan. Service was great. Fantastic authentic Indian”
