French cuisine restaurant in Belfast

“We came on a Sunday evening and they had a live band at just the right volume. It's huge and ornate. As a visitor to Belfast, I was generally disappointed by the range of beers (craft beer doesn't seem to have reached here), but this bar had a somewhat better selection than most.”

“The food is fantastic, the dine in setup is ridiculous however, the queue time from the door to the counter is about 45 minutes due to the counter staff having to do online orders inbetween serving the customers in the store, they should do this separately. Even when ordering online the order is never correct which puts me off doing this also, still giving it 5* regardless due to how great the food is, I really hope they sort these issues out and bring back the good days. If I see a queue at the door the next time I go near the place, im just going to go somewhere else”

“I would highly recommend trinity restaurant in the heart of glengormley for breakfast lunch and dinner as I have been in for them all and I have always been impressed. The menu has a great selection to choose from including some great seafood and vegetarian dishes. One other thing which makes this restaurant stand out from the rest is the staff who are always welcoming and make you feel at home. Overall 5 stars.”

Service in the dining room was good, make sure you visit the bar because the fella behind the bar was an absolute delight- one of the highlights of our time was in Belfast was the wonderful conversations we had with the locals. “Stephen is a credit to your team. My son was struggling with school shoe shopping and we'd already had some close to meltdown moments in the Abbey Centre. When we entered Nandos I explained that he was struggling with the volume etc (in the shops) and we were just seeing if he felt ok to eat here. Stephen immediately offered us a quiet area in the back and got the music system turned down. He checked in a couple of further times. One of the best restaurant experiences I've had with my son, we do it so rarely because he finds it tough, so thank you ever so much!”

“Probably the best prawns I've ever eaten. Perfectly cooked in a lovely batter with a delicious satay sauce and a perfectly charred lettuce. Would go again just for this. Dessert was also spectacular. A warm chocolate muffin with chocolate sauce inside served alongside a coconut ice cream. Delicious. Atmosphere and waiting staff all on point. Didn't have to wait long for the food or the bill. Top marks.”

“Went to the wee bistro today without a reservation as I was only in the area for work last night and wanted some food before heading off. The staff were friendly and we're so incredibly in-control despite how busy it was. The music was good, loud but not too loud or overbearing. All the food was seasoned and tasted fresh. All portions were big and price was reasonable. Would 100% come back again”

“We had a wonderful meal at Bank Street Brasserie last night. As vegetarians, it’s always a pleasure to find a menu that feels thoughtful rather than like an afterthought and this absolutely delivered. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive and genuinely friendly without being intrusive. We were so sad to hear they’re closing after Christmas, such a real loss. It makes us wish we’d eaten here more often. A truly special place that will be missed.”

“Love this restaurant. Eat here every year on our overnight stay before catching the ferry to Scotland the next morning . It's not often you peruse a menu and literally love everything on it but that's what you feel at Ginger Bistro. Service is just great, cocktails, food, obviously, and wines plus great ambience. “Fully recommend this gem, near Queens University. Me and my partner went here for our anniversary and it was the perfect meal. I had the beef boxty and it was so tasty and the portion was large, the service was also very attentive and we felt very welcome. Expect to pay a little more here but you definitely get your money’s worth.”

“Mediterranean dinner at Chef and Manager in Newtownards near Belfast. It is one of those places that do not exist on IG, yet known to locals and is always fully packed. We were so lucky to have got recommended it and to actually manage to get a table on a Friday! The food was exquisite, the flavours, the presentation, the staff, everything was done with extra care. One of those places when you feel the owners take it upon themselves to ensure you enjoy every detail. . What you see here is duck breast, so tender! Laid on some veggies, and a selection of sauces. Each of them takes you on a different journey. Second main was a rack of lamb (mint crusted), it had a charcoal flavour and the taste was complemented by Mediterranean veggies. Both dishes came with potato gratin. . For starters, we had beans soup and goat cheese fritters with beetroot and bread. I was so tempted to go there again during out short visit”
