Not long out of the restaurant for my birthday lunch. Service started good. Drinks and meal all good. Then no one came near us. 25 mins past. Plates still on table and no one came near us to order tea, coffee or sweet. We got up to pay and girl asked was everything ok. My partner said no not really. We wanted to order more but decided to leave as no one came near us. She apologised and said it was down to new staff. In my opinion there wasn't enough staff and her apology was not sincere.

Some of the best food weβve had while in Ireland. The feather beef was amazing and so was the fish sandwich. The server was friendly and it was great to be able to walk the grounds after our meal. Highly recommend.

Didnβt go into the Restaurant section, instead was at the bar/cafe section just before the restaurant part. Two teenage girls had extremely poor attitude, disrespectful and negative when asked questions. I had ordered a Cafe Mocha, and as expected in most cafes, itβs a shot of espresso, with steamed milk and hot chocolate mix. Or alternatively itβs an espresso shot with hot chocolate mix in the espresso and hot steamed milk mixed in. What I received was a cup of watery brown coloured liquid, and I had asked what I got, and one of the girls asked what I ordered. I said I ordered a cafe mocha, and she said, βthats how we do itβ. And she explained it was a shot of espresso with watery hot chocolate from the machine over. I gave the drink back to her and explained that usually itβs espresso with hot steamed milk and hot chocolate mixture, and I left. Poor attitude from the girls, like they couldnβt care less. Wonβt be getting any hot drinks here. The fifteen was tasty though, and their scones look homemade. So thatβs good. Otherwise not a great experience.

Made the trek from Belfast up to see the castle and the highlight was this little restaurant. Make sure to put in a reservation before coming up to ensure you can get it. Main menu looked amazing but limited and delicious one on Sundays too

Went with my child after a walk andu Cavehill. Ordered a toastie and kids chicken goujans. After 40 minutes we had received nothing so asked the waiters. After another 15 minutes still no food so got my money back and left. Disappointing for such an important Belfast tourist spot.

Went for afternoon tea to celebrate grandmother 95th birthday the sandwiches were ok however the cakes were just large slices of not very nice cake with synthetic cream. The scones were hard and not that fresh. Will not be returning and would certainly not recommend to friends

Afternoon tea at the castle is awful. They got the number of tables we required wrong. The sandwiches had hard bread and all salmon. We asked for new tray but bread still slightly hard. Cakes where just a sponge cake cut into large squares. Cups where dirty had to request new ones. Not enough staff to cover the amount of people eating. Charged the wrong about at the end. Very disappointed will never be back. Staff very pleasant and tried their best but not enough of them.

I was a little worried about our visit after reading the reviews. We had a lovely time and didn't have any issues with staff or anything. We visited the castle around 6 on a Saturday and ate around 7.
