Excellent meal, which started with the fish chowder served with warm bread and continued with the fish of the day for me and the duck for my wife. Both entrees were well prepared and attractively presented. Desserts were tasty and a delicious end to a memorable dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Found this restaurant after spending the day on a Giant's Causeway tour. Basically, just went off Google reviews and this place had good ratings. It did not disappoint. I ordered the fish and chips, which was a pretty basic thing to order, but it was good. Probably would try something more exotic next time. I know others from our party enjoyed what they ordered. Had sticky toffee pudding for dessert and that was fantastic. Really tasty with the carmel sauce. And then Bushmills, wine and beer were great as well. What really made the meal was the owner/manager. Not sure of his name, but he was very friendly, engaging, and helpful. Really made for a great experience.

The restaurant from the front looks a bit dilapidated. Inside is a bit better but I think it's definitely time for a refurbish! That said, the meal was really good! We opted to skip the appetizers as most of them were fried. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the seabass. We ordered some wine and beer and got side salads with our entrees. The salad were good and simple. Both the fishes were really good. The dishes looked great and tasted super fresh and very well done! We opted against the dessert. The meal overall was very good!

Just landed in Belfast and it was our first meal in the city. Very attentive staff and the food was good. Sauce on the duck was perfect.

First time visit. Friendly waiting staff and reasonably priced food and drinks. Food was mostly fine. I order duck for main and when I wasn't asked how I liked it cooked I specified pink and was told that's how they serve it. Unfortunately the duck was a bit overdone.

My wife and I were traveling to NI from the US and stopped in Belfast for a couple nights. The Lantern was great. The service was very friendly and comfortable. We had the salmon and supreme chicken, both delicious and cooked to perfection. Weren’t rushed to finish our food or wine. And we finished off with the creme brûlée. Five stars!

Excellent service. Unreal food. Chatty staff. Went after a matinee show in the opera house and it was so close for walking. Music was at a good level that you couldn't hear the conversations at other tables and still hear yourselves! All of us ordered different food from the lre theatre. Squid was beautiful. As was the soup of the day. Mains were to die for!

Booked online and got a nice friendly confirmation phone call. Very convenient to the City Hall and main shopping areas. Place was very busy, people laughing and in good cheer. Welcomed and seated by lovely staff. Service was excellent, food and drinks delivered quickly and efficiently. Had spring rolls as starter and the beef for dinner was exceptional, so tasty. Had a really good dining experience here, and when back in Belfast next, will certainly be calling again!
