Does what it says on the tin, very busy on beautiful summer days. Handy for Newcastle Main promenade, shops, coffee and ice cream. Toilets refurbished recently, you might even catch the air ambulance, coast guard helicopter or some other activity such as the Pipe band championships.

Nice and clean now like the new car park at the back Only reserve is there is no walk way between the pitches you have to walk the long way round
Splendid free car park, ideal for climbing the mountain. We visited on a Saturday and it was almost full when we arrived about 10am. So on a good weather day I suggest arriving early! Also very good for visiting the town centre, the promenade or the large park which is behind it.
Plenty parking spaces with lovely sea view need to be there early
Extremely beautiful area. The Festival of Flight 2019 was held on the day my daughters and I visited. Donard Car Park is very central to all the major attractions in Newcastle, County Down. No problems getting parked and there was plenty of public toilets and places to eat or spend a few hours (or even days)
