We stayed here last night and cannot wait to go back. The hotel decor is quirky, warm and welcoming and the staff all very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much for them. The rooms are so comfortable with seaviews to die for!
We go here every week for a meal. Our experience is absolutly lovely every time. The staff in the resturant are wonderful, they are so warm and inviting. They make us feel very important to them. The food is delightful and very good value . My brother who is special needs enjoys his weekly trip there and the staff always make time for him
Couldn't fault anything about this hotel, fabulous hotel in a very central part of Newcastle. Beautiful decor, very quirky, rooms are gorgeous with a sea view. Staff was very helpful and chatty with a warm welcome. Breakfast and dinner was lovely and atmosphere in bar was great for Saturday night in October with music. Highly recommend this hotel and will be back, thank you
Woken up at 7am by the tumble dryers going. I understand that laundry needs done etc but at 7am is ridiculous maybe do this during the day to avoid this situation. When I went down to by greeted with “what’s up” when I explained was told “aye it’s off now” poor customer care. Rooms were also freezing, WiFi wasn’t working but flashing lighting the whole room up, Stay away from room 108. Breakfast was decent overall wouldn’t go back
The room we had was nice, but very badly lit. It was really hard to see what you were doing. Put some lights in the place, would you? Check-in was odd. The person who greeted us seemed confused, and when they left us to our room, they behaved a bit creepy. The location is good, and the bar was good. Strangely, we'd go back, but purely for location.
This place was beyond expectations, to be showen right to our room and everything explained. The staff where fantastic from start to finish. The room was perfect for even being on the small side it was so well planned out and had everything you would need. The food in the restaurant was beautiful never had roast beef like it. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and I will definitely be back to visit again, such a good location.
What a fab stay we had in the Avoca Hotel in Newcastle. The rooms are so spacious and the views from them are amazing. We were given a tour of a family room which consisted of a king bed, single bed and 2 bunks. The bathroom is very modern and showers are fab, very powerful. The food is delicious, we had dinner in the restaurant and couldn't fault a thing. My steak was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth and the delecious prawn salad as a massive portion accompanied by wheaten bread. As great as the hotel is, the best part of our stay was the staff. Such genuinely lovely, caring people who made our stay a memorable one. When we were leaving, it was like saying "see you later" to real friends. We can't wait to come back with our girls very soon! Thanks to Nicola, Ozzy, Geraldine, Kevin, Mel and Tommy. We had a blast with you all!! Looking forward to our next trip.
Avoca hotel was a fabulous experience. Great staff and great food. And also a great cocktail bar in which me and wife greatly enjoyed. The rooms were extremely nice with great views. We be definitely back up again.
Discovered this little gem and can't wait to go back! Rooms very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hotel is in a great location just across the road from the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for me. I only stayed a night and it definitely wasn't long enough. Looking forward to my next, longer visit.
Good spot. Got a table looking out to the sea. Ordered 2 starters soup could been warmer and more flavoursome . My husband's open prawn salad was fine but at £14 not worth the price. Bar staff not the most welcoming . Hubby said his Guinness was just ok.
