“Lovely landlady very friendly great little Pub”

“Came in for lunch with my Nan & niece. The food was really good and the prices were more than reasonable. We were served by a really lovely lady who was super friendly and helpful called Ruby. She was so attentive and kind to my niece which doesn’t usually happen in many public houses, so it was a nice change. 5* customer service from Ruby, we will definitely be returning. Thank you Ruby ❤️”

“We had a big uni group christmas meal and we were just amazed at how we were accommodated and the fact we had the whole venue to ourselves. Honestly the effort that was put in, not only to the food, but the decorations and how lovely the staff were made our night better than we could have imagined. We wanted to say a huge thank you and we could not recommend them more :)”

“Lovely meal, very reasonable price and good service. The freshly cooked carvery was delicious and the turkey was moist!!! I was so surprised at how brilliant the food was (especially as it was absolutely packed) and we were sat at our table almost immediately. I will be going back regularly! ☺️”

“What more can you ask for from a seaside arcade plenty of 2p machines amongst other arcade games and also plenty of adult focused slots & other machines. Young gentleman working was a credit to the place always happy to help with any issues and the machines were bursting with prizes!”

“A great little place to head too on a night out, 2 or 3 floors open depending on the night and music to fit all tastes from cheesy to house. Staff are friendly and fun as always the vibe is relaxed and happy the door staff are friendly and fair. Good selection of drinks to be had and the customer base is wide with a good mix of the age groups.”

“Absolutely amazing! I held my wedding reception here and they went above and beyond! Everything was perfect and just as I wanted! I couldn't have asked for more. The garden is a stunning location to hold a wedding and the landlady blew it out of the water! She's one of the nicest friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!”

“I love locally and always enjoy coming here, especially for family get togethers. We had the Festive menu tonight which was very reasonably priced and delicious. I had the camembert, which was a fraction overcooked but still delicious. A few people had chicken tenders which looked amazing (see my Sister in law's picture attached). Steak was cooked perfectly, and cheesecake was lovely too. The staff here are always very friendly and attentive. Thank you for a perfect evening. I look forward to coming back soon.”

“Fluke is a lovely nightclub. We had our pre-drinks here and it's a great vibe. The toilets aren't too bad and the drinks are cheap and cheerful. Not the strongest but it's perfect for pre-drinks. Decent tunes too and a great dancefloor.”

“We visited yesterday 09-08-25 for lunch after turning up to surprise the grandchildren who were holidaying at the Haven Caravan site down the road . A nice relaxed atmosphere where we were soon found a table for 8 and our waitress Hazel looked after us brilliantly, the restaurant is clean and tidy as well are the toilets, we had a mixture of foods all of which were very good indeed. I had the 10oz Ribeye tasty and cooked to perfection. For afters Hazel recommended the black forest gateau and she wasn't wrong a beautiful slice of heaven on a plate. I would like to thank Hazel so much for making us feel welcomed and looking after us all so well.”

At £10.99, it feels genuinely fair, especially with one child eating free per adult, which makes a big difference for families. The food is consistently good and well stocked, and there’s plenty of choice so everyone can find something they like. Staff are friendly and helpful, even when it’s busy. It can get a bit hectic when it’s full, but that’s honestly to be expected given how popular it is — and it’s a sign they’re doing something right rather than a negative. Overall, great value, good quality, and a solid all-round breakfast experience. Easy 5 stars.”

“Myself and friends recently had a celebratery meal. What i will say the eating experience was 5 star from when we entered and purchased our drinks to when we had our order taken to the standard of food, presentation, cooked to perfection. We did ask who cook our meal and it was conveyed to us a young chef called Kyle. All I will add is young chef will go far, he is an asset to your restaurant. We will certainly be returning. Many thanks to all the staff but in particular Kyle.”

The food was full of flavour, ordering was easy and quick,food and drinks turned up really fast and they have people coming round taking rubbish and empty glasses so it always looks nice and tidy, honestly cant rate it high enough, really looking forward to going back”

“I decided to book our Christmas works do at the woodman and they were brilliant with communication in the weeks leading up. I was impressed on the night by the service of Dan and the waitresses who were super accommodating as we were a large party. The carvery was delicious and were pleasantly surprised by a live band which added to the atmosphere. Am hoping they’ll have us again next year :)”

“i came here yesterday evening for the first time with my family for a quick drink...ended up coming back 3 more times throughout the night because we loved it so much !! the atmosphere of the place was lovely, warm & friendly (and not loud like most places at that time), the bar staff are absolute angels to talk to & in their serving, and the drinks were just beautiful.”

“What a gem of a restaurant tucked away in Thorpe St Andrews! Easy parking and from the moment you enter Ms Didi and her team make you feel welcome. She gave personalised recommendations and the food was cooked well with a personalised spice level. From golden , flaky mutton pastries to incredible fried rice with succulent beef curry and light, sweet fried plantain it was a delight from start to finish. Highly recommend eating in for the full vibe !”
