“We had a very romantic valentines day meal here. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the setting was very chilled. The wine was good and the food was tasty and just enough to satisfy us without making us feel full. Would totally recommend!”

“It was our first visit to the Black Swan yesterday for Sunday dinner. We ordered the Sunday roast and it was delicious! Plenty of food and the cauliflower cheese was the best I have ever had. Desserts not be missed however full you may feel. We will be returning regulary ( just moved to the area). Well done to the chefs!”

“Beautiful picturesque pub on the side of the river. Perfect location for fresh fish of the day which was haddock with chips. Service super nice staff welcoming and friendly to newcomers. Also I love that the pub played modern music and everyone seemed really down to earth. The toilets were really clean. Beautiful to come here on a lovely sunny day and sit outside to chill. Lovely to see children running around freely playing nicely with one another. Would recommend and would return for the fresh fish and a refreshment.”

“Absolutely fantastic place and my new favorite in Norwich. The food is scrumdiddlydumptious, beer and cider great and staff are fast, friendly and just what you need on your day out. I like that not only the food is amazing but it's also different to your standard English pub menu that tends to be same everywhere else. Perfect for meat, seafood and potato lovers and has veg options too. Dog friendly and as it has the baby changing board it's also baby friendly.”

“We recently hired out and held our engagement party in the basement gin bar. We had roughly 40 guests and it was the perfect space. Bar service and food was brilliant, could not fault the staff one bit. They allowed us free rein of the space to decorate and set up as we pleased including bringing in our own DJ. Would highly recommend for private party events!”

“I followed google maps to avoid a queue on the A146 while driving to Lowestoft and saw the Swan. I thought I would chance a meal. The welcome was great, atmosphere good and food very tasty. Well worth the small diversion if passing.”

“We had always intended to stop here on the way to Norwich but never did. We did eventually stop for food on the way to north Norfolk. We’re so glad we did, lovely atmosphere, lovely service, dogs were allowed in the garden and the food is proper home cooked and lots of it! Will definitely go back!”

“I enjoyed my stay here, room was clean and bed was comfortable, continental breakfast supplied in the room, bread, jam, orange juice and cereals. I feel the Internet photos don't do this place justice, it's better in real life, parking was a bonus. The pub itself is like a Tardus inside and the garden is a hugh Oasis, it took my breath away, would be great for parties and functions. Also, the drinks in here were cheaper then any other pub we visited in Norwich. A few minutes down the road is a sweet shop and fish and chip shop, further along is another pub on the river and the train station is walking distance. Walking into the town centre took us 15 minutes, but it was an interesting and lovely walk. Thanks for recommending the perfume to me and Beatle juice you looked amazing”

“I arranged my Dad's retirement party at The Murderers and we received excellent service. From making the initial query over the phone to the evening itself, nothing was too much trouble. We had the cafe bar area as a private space for our party and chose to have a hot and cold buffet. Requirements for vegetarian and halal food were accommodated. There is a wide selection of beers and ales available, and a great choices of other drinks, which pleased my Dad and his guests. The cafe bar area was a lovely space in which to hold a party. Highly recommend!”

All fresh food, cooked especially for you. The food not only tastes good but is cooked to perfection and not looks good to!”

“One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The Steam Packet nails that rare balance between cosy and elevated. The pub’s atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a dining room that feels intimate but never cramped – the art and overall vibe are spot on. We had the langoustines with wild garlic – unforgettable – followed by a perfectly cooked steak and some of the best chips I’ve had in ages.
