First visit, I tried the mussels (good) and cod. The food came with French fries and a bit of crispy bread for the mussels sauce. Good atmosphere overall, the toilets can be looked after better. Try the cherries beer, overall good.

Absolutely fantastic place and my new favorite in Norwich. The food is scrumdiddlydumptious, beer and cider great and staff are fast, friendly and just what you need on your day out. I like that not only the food is amazing but it's also different to your standard English pub menu that tends to be same everywhere else. Perfect for meat, seafood and potato lovers and has veg options too. Dog friendly and as it has the baby changing board it's also baby friendly.

We had a really lovely time they catered well to the dietary needs of the group and the waiter was really lovely and friendly. They were all very attentive. The only disappointing thing is that two of the dishes said they come in a cob loaf but actually they came in a bowl with the bread on the side other than that it was a lovely time and nice meal

This pub is right next to a beautiful historic church, which is honestly what drew me inβ€”I'm a big fan of places with a bit of history. They offer a great selection of Belgian beers and ales ranging from 4% to 9% (which, no, I didn't dive into this time!). The building itself has some gorgeous original features, but sadly, many of them are covered up. In particular, there's a wall in the beer garden that could have been a stunning highlight, rich in character. But instead it's hidden behind a rather unattractive shelter. A real missed opportunity for charm and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. When we asked for two drinks in half pints, the staff member sharply replied, "We only offer half pints." It came across more as attitude than helpfulness. No need to be snippy about it.

Excellent selection of Belgian beer - managed to try a few I haven’t come across before! Friendly staff too who are happy to help you decide which beer to go for. Also had a meal here - we meant to have mussels but unfortunately they ran out by the time we went, so ordered something else instead (pie).

Beautiful building, but a bit tight seating indoors, upstairs better, has second bar up there too. Food without salt, made it tasteless even after putting salt on, my boyfriend enjoyed his meal more. Had traditional potatoe dish (massive portion) and meatballs. Definitely perfect place to sample lots of different beers

It’s a very cute little old restaurant building with two levels and a basement, that of a medieval design. We had wines and pan fried liver and beef stew. Both come with stoemp, a typical mashed potato with cream and veg. I find the liver over fried and beef a little too tough. I asked for a non dairy stoemp which the restaurant kindly provided. Wasn’t too impressed with the food but wines are good.

I personally have never actually eaten here before but my guest had, I have heard that the food was good, we chose to be seated outside as it was a lovely evening, our waitress was perfect she new every dish on the menu, & was extremely helpful. The drinks came quickly & the food was worth the slight wait. Very good portions and well presented both meals were season correctly even one to the vingaret on the salads. I would highly recommend anyone visiting or thinking about eating out in Norwich. Unfortunately I have to add to my last review, everything has gone down hill, so to speak.. No communication between staff food was bland service was terrible food wasn't great poor presentation. So.much so I wouldn't go back there to eat at all.. very disappointing.
