Genuine pub with very gentle owner and waitress. Not a partying place! But well for romance or good talks with friends.
Terrible Sunday roast. Dry, rock solid chicken, limp, flavourless veg and the worst cauliflower cheese I have ever had. I am pretty sure they just shoved some grated cheese on top of frozen cauliflower and microwaved it. It was a big portion, but not of anything you'd actually want to eat. You couldn't fault the bar staff though, they were lovely.
Visited the Adam and Eve twice in two days. One of the rare few REAL pubs, thanks to the owner Rita who is passionate about keeping things simple and focusing on what's important. The ambiance is great, feels like a big hug :-)
What an amazing pub with an amazing history. When you drink here you’re going back in time. Smallest and oldest pub in Norwich. Amazing to have found it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nobody was actually in the pub as it was a hot summer day but the seating on the patio was very busy with a few tables available. It does not do food. Busy due to the historical significance as on of the oldest pubs in the country dating to 1249ad
Visited from Canada. It's not everyday that you can have a brew and great meal in an establishment dating back over 700 years. Rita was charming and so welcoming as were her patrons. Rita made sure that this would be a visit I would not forget and this was definitely the pub highlight of my visit. Norwich is an amazing historical city and the people are very friendly to an over talkative Canadian like myself. Thank you so much for everything Rita. You are a gem.
Had to have a pint in the oldest pub in Norwich. Quaint, beautiful building with lots of original features. Nice atmosphere and beautiful flowers decorating the whole front. X
Lovely setting and a real pub. Lovely staff and a decent selection of beers. Can imagine its a wonderful summer experience.
Pretty cool place. Its not real big, but its nice for a pint and to sit outside and enjoy it. Big car park right next to it too, which is handy.
The Adam and Eve public house is conveniently situated next to a car park close to Norwich Cathedral. The sign proudly proclaims that it is possibly the oldest pub in Norwich. So after visiting the Cathedral it was nice to stop and enjoy a hot chocolate with an added shot of Woods Demerara Rum.
