Having eaten here on multiple occasions we booked a table for lunch for New Years day but this time it was very disappointing. 3 of us had the same starter, the hash brown with beetroot and blue cheese, the balance was completely off. The hash brown was good but needed more beetroot and there was no sign of any blue cheese. The mains were the most disappointing though. 3 of us had roast sirloin of beef, 2 had the belly pork and 2 had steak. The steak meals were very good but the rest was poor. 1 meal was cold, not even luke-warm, the rest were only just warm. The sides of green vegetables were also cold. The roast potatoes had obviously been reheated (deep fried) and were tough. The pork was also a bit tough (although the flavour was good) as was the beef. I can only assume this was likely reheated from a previous service. The cold meal was highlighted and sent back and met with a response that they could prepare another but it would be a 15 minute wait so we asked for it to be reheated instead. When it came back the plate was very hot but the food was only just warm. All in all a very disappointing experience, and whilst the bill was adjusted the staff didn't come across as particularly apologetic. I doubt we'll return which is a shame as the service and food has previously been very good.

Nice pub with friendly staff. Rooms reasonably priced. Have stayed here three times now. Loddon is lovely with a beautiful old church. Handy for visiting family

Great menu that changes regularly. Very good food. Just had fish and chips. Great mushy peas. Local wine specials which I was pleased to see. A more diverse wine list would be welcome. Excellent service. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Congratulations! I know how much work it takes to create such a good experience. I will be back.

We stayed for a short break while visiting various places in Norfolk. The bedroom was large and mostly very comfortable. The only complaint was the mattresses are a little old, saggy, creaky and lumpy, and could do with replacing. Everything else in the room was decent. The excellent pod coffee machine was much appreciated. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were delicious. The locally sourced sausages and bacon were exceptional.

I followed google maps to avoid a queue on the A146 while driving to Lowestoft and saw the Swan. I thought I would chance a meal. The welcome was great, atmosphere good and food very tasty. Well worth the small diversion if passing.

Had a fabulous meal here for my grandads birthday. The staff were all fantastic and the food was lovely. As we had a gluten free person dining, they catered to their meal especially and they enjoyed all the same food as us. Highly reccomend and thankyou once again for a special meal.

The Swan at Loddon is our β€˜go to’ warm and cosy welcome after a long country walk, there are some fantastic walks in and around Loddon, when returning though, be sure to pop in, head to the right of the bar and sit yourself in front of the roaring log fire. Lunch tastes fantastic, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic and there is a great selection of wines and beer. They are also extremely friendly with our young baby boy. As β€˜places to dry out and spend the afternoon in great company’ go, the Swan has never let us down.

A lovely old place, with smart decor. We were out on an ale run and weren't at all disappointed in what was on offer, not extensive but what they had was good. Extremely pleasant staff and service.
