“Great atmosphere, busy yet staff on the ball and serve quickly, good range of drinks and cocktails.”

“Popped in for a pint while passing by with the family and within a couple of minutes we were served, greeted and found a seat in the garden. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. With the vibe of a traditional local pub with talkative locals. With a dartboard and pool table, I'm sure the weekends could be lively and interesting. Although they had Madri As a larger drinker, there weren't a great deal of options on tap for me. But plenty of Ales. (By all means, this wouldn't put me off visiting again ) The garden had plenty of kids' toys and balls. Considering not many pubs make that much effort when it comes to kids so this is another reason for us to visit again. Overall we all had a Great experience.”

“11.06.2023 Came for a child's party. Was great fun, big soft play area indoors. Outdoors: climbing frame, sandpit, benches. It was a very hot and sunny day but no parasols. Big portions from adult menu. 4 lanes for bowling, plenty of tables to sit at for a meal.”

“Five of us booked for dinner on Saturday evening. We were given a fantastic private space with a round table. Service was brilliant, staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Food choices excellent and very tasty. We fish cooked perfectly, rib eye steak wonderful. Limited but good beer selection and a very wide choice of wines and whisky.”

It’s generous, messy (in the best way), and totally satisfying. This isn't just a meal; it’s an experience in American smokehouse excellence. And finally, the mega service. Our drinks were always topped up, the recommendations were spot-on, and everything felt smooth, despite how busy they are. Gonzo's isn't just serving great BBQ; they're serving a great time. “What a fantastic place this was for Norwich city centre with a hard working long suffering director who even paid her way through Covid to stay open. Our cities small independents similar to this have a bleak future ahead as the burden of an increased VAT bill is the result of price increases to cover the forced minimum wage increase, higher taxes and raw material costs. To be brought down by this mess of scaffolding seems an absolute tragedy and certainly an exit with no dignity- but does prove that our independents are disappearing fast.”

“Absolute mad house, kids loved it. If you like sipping a pint, and be between a scarlet macaw and a parakeet having a sound battle, this is the place to go. Great place for a very generous meal, and for the kids to be entertained. My only, only recommendation is they get some bigger tables in. I was surprised for such a spacious place they didn't have many tables suitable for parties or 5+, and there is so much room for it.”

“Strangely located attached to a garden centre, but don't let that put you off. Seating and tables were basic but adequate. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. I had the mixed grill and I have never seen so much meat on a plate, and it was all excellently cooked...my medium steak was actually cooked as medium too. We were a group of 18 people having various dishes, and all had plenty and all enjoyed their meals. I would definitely go again and I would make sure I was just as hungry beforehand as I was on this occasion.”

“A fantastic meal for the 3rd time this week.even though I asked if it would be possible to have something that wasn't on the menu. Great service always with a smile and nothing is to much trouble. The pub it self is welcoming comfortable, clean and lots of facilities, like pool table, darts.even a small pool in the garden and really good sounds on the JB. All in all couldn't recommend enough. A must visit if you looking for somewhere to have a meal or just a drink.”

“A lovely hotel for both business and recreation in my view. Well appointed rooms with lovely fluffy towels. Delicious food in the restaurant. A wonderful breakfast which set me up well for the day ahead and kept me full all day. Polite and helpful staff I would recommend this hotel.”

“I just got back from darts tournament was proud of how well I played to was proud that I beat a very good top class player like josh pinder 4_1 in our group he however went on to the final where he unfortunately lost in a cracking final to a guy called john who's name I've forgot sorry but I played really well for first attempt at this tournament so very happy as I won my group .thanks to everyone there for being so nice & friendly Cheer's guys & girls”

“Ooo…lovely!! The Urban Lounge is super chill and the food is beautiful. I have wanted to make a trip here for some time and I wasn’t disappointed. The black pudding and beans have a nice and spicy dash of flavour which I’m a fan of. I’ll definitely have to try more of the menu. Clean fresh and a good people watching watching view of Magdalen Road”

“Had dinner at the Maltsers while we were moored up. A charming place with friendly staff. There is a separate pizza house next door that prepares fresh pizzas. The food was delicious, hot and well priced and we had a game of darts afterwards. Would highly recommend.”

“Stopped in here prior to eating at the restaurant opposite. It was a Sunday lunchtime and the pub was starting to fill out. The service at the bar was very friendly and welcoming and they had a good selection of non-alcoholic beers. The Sunday food menu looked very appealing and had we not already been booked in elsewhere, we would definitely have eaten here - the roast dinners we saw being carried out from the kitchen looked amazing. We will hopefully return to try them out very soon.”

“Really nice place with amazing interior. Plenty of space and really welcoming and friendly staff. Good food at a decent price. I was a tiny bit disappointed with my Buttermilk chicken burger. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't amazing. Went with my daughter on father's day and got a free beer! The toilets are downstairs in what used to be the vaults and a couple of bits have been retained for character. Would definitely go again but would order something else. Easy to book online. Recommended.”

“First visit here and will certainly visit again. Huge menu choices. We went for the Thai style starter and mains with a traditional dessert. Three courses including drinks for under £60 for a couple.”
