   Decided to eat here after a recommendation and honestly I can not fault anything. The food was delicious with ample portions. The staff and owner were friendly and attentive. Food and drink prices are very reasonable. I will definitely recommend The New Forge as a good place to eat. 10/10

   I treated a long-time friend to a late birthday lunch at one of her favorite restaurants. We both opted for the Giant prawn dish, priced reasonably at £13.95, which came with boiled rice and vegetables. The king prawn was grilled to tender perfection and coated in roasted chili oil, accompanied by chili, garlic, green and red peppers, onion, and spring onion. For dessert, I chose the ginger pudding, while my friend went for the treacle pudding; both were served with custard and absolutely delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which were expertly cooked, and I will certainly be returning soon. I’m glad to see that, after some unfavorable press last year, the restaurant has successfully regained its 5-star hygiene rating. The restaurant has a moderately sized car park, making it easy to find a space during our visit. However, I imagine parking might be more difficult during busy periods. Fortunately, there are plenty of spots available on the layby off the main road. During our visit, I also used the men’s restroom, which was clean and well-maintained. The staff were polite and welcoming, attentive to our needs, which contributed to an overall positive experience.

   Had an amazing meal at The New Forge! Tried the dry curry and green Thai curry, and both were absolutely spot on with their flavors—rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the authenticity in the Thai dishes while still appreciating the fusion concept. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was great too. Loved the food and will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great Thai fusion experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   First visit here and will certainly visit again. Huge menu choices. We went for the Thai style starter and mains with a traditional dessert. Three courses including drinks for under £60 for a couple.

   Poor service from start to finish. Arrived, waited 5/10 minutes to be seen, waited another 5/10 minutes to be seated. Really disorganised between all the staff. Got seated an the waiter was apologetic about the service. Food was pretty poor, we had a carvery, roast potatoes were the only good thing everything else was tasteless. I wouldn't recommend and i wont go again.

   I ordered of the Thai menu, tom yam gai which was nice, main giant king prawns with peppers and onions didn't taste authentic Thai flavours.
