“Tasty and quality food, many vegan food options, also lovely staff service! I came here once, and now I just come here everyday for my lunch. No places around can beat this cafe - definitely recommend! :)”
“We moved to the area around 3 years ago and Scooters has become a safe haven for us. This family run cafe is outstanding, they cater to all diets (veggie as well as dairy/gluten free which even the big chains sometimes struggle to accomodation). They do proper full English breakfasts with butcher sourced meats, always perfectly cooked and you get a lot for your money. On top of that they do outstanding coffee and milkshakes (seriously the milkshakes are 1000/10) and now even do waffles! The atmosphere is cosy and naustalgic, the place is always clean and warm and the team are so lovely, happy and welcoming. I was hesitant to do this review because I don't want the place getting too busy but they honestly really deserve the praise!”
“Booked a party for my 8 year old son. Everyone had the best time, the kids lasered in a separate area and the on site cafe had all the cakes, food, coffee and booze you could want. It was really well organised, all the staff were friendly and great with the kids all while having the attention of 10 7-8year olds. I can’t praise the whole event enough. Would highly recommend.”
“Very friendly staff. Amazing food and service. Made to feel very welcome. Extra special touch for my partners birthday.”
“This has everything a dog needs and more!! Took my boys for a long walk (hour around the fields). Well, sign posted and easy to follow. There is also a 20-minute walk. Enclosed fields for dogs to go off lead. You can hire a smaller enclosed field for your dogs to train recall or play with dogs safely. There is a swimming pool for dogs. An agility course. Grooming salon. Alpacas on site. Camp site. Finally, a perfect dog friendly cafe. They have a dog menu such as: roast dinner, pup cake, burgers, sausages, milk, and pawsecco. Then, a wide range of human meals. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are always friendly. My dogs bark, but I never feel embarrassed.”
“Nice cafe on the industrial estate. Everything seemed nice and clean. I ordered a mug of tea and a bomber bap. The food was delicious and ingredients were of a very high quality. The bomber had bacon, sausage, Monterey Jack cheese, egg, hash brown amazing stuff. Service was very polite and food came promptly. Will visit again!”
“We had a great meal at Gem Turkish Restaurant. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The octopus dish, in particular, was absolutely outstanding – easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. My only complaint? The remix of Creep by Radiohead that came on during our meal – a complete travesty to music! But even that couldn’t spoil an otherwise excellent evening. Highly recommended.”
“We popped in for breakfast. As always there was a queue outside. But we didn't have to wait long. Service was excellent. The food was amazing. Im not saying the playe was full but take a look at the photo. Its remarkably efficiently run and while youre not hassled to leave. You're never left waiting, which is I feel the perfect balance.”
“Great little find in the high street, has a really interesting menu, totally unexpected to the usual tea shop/cafe fare. Had the sharing platter which was delicious and I got two and a half generous cups of tea out of my pot which is generally unheard of! Great atmosphere, recommend booking as this is where all the local are. Staff very friendly and helpful and theres also an outside courtyard and loyalty card programme. What's not to love??”
“Delicious afternoon tea. The open sandwiches were amazingly tasty. Service was great - very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!”
“This morning, I had a delightful traditional English breakfast at the Street Cafe. The staff was welcoming, polite, and friendly, providing excellent table service. The breakfast was not only well presented but also delicious. Despite the mix of customers, including young children, the atmosphere was relaxing and cozy. I highly recommend this street cafe, which features a great selection of reasonably priced breakfasts and snacks, including options for both vegetarians and vegans.”
“After spending 3 days in this place I can say it is amazing. I had a lot of fun. Plenty of places to have a quick snack or pizza. Starbucks coffee at the side of the pool. Plenty of places to sit and eat your own pack lunch if you prefer.”
“I went with a friend just for coffee last week. Beautiful garden. Not sure if the gardener's are volunteers but the tearoom ladies and girls are. They are quick and friendly.. there is parking just outside in a small car park and more room for parking near the clock tower. It was a very hot day but there are tables outside in a shaded area and more tables dotted about the garden. Lovely and peaceful and great food from what I could see. I returned recently as I didn't have time the review the shop. Really clean and tidy. The shelves were full and the freezers had lots of mouth watering foods”
“Lovely Cafe, great food and service with a smile. Great atmosphere whereby all made you feel welcome. We visited twice and were more than happy with everything, the owner Steve was very friendly and accommodating. If we visit Norwich again I would definitely make this one of our first stops.”
“An outstanding lunch with charming and chatty host/ server. A lovely find away from the town centre. Highly recommended”
“Excellent fry-up made with good quality ingredients throughout. Friendly staff. Some authentic Portuguese meals will guarantee our return to give them a try.”
“First day of a 3 days away They were v busy but we were able to get a table outside, we had a drink and the food arrived well before the estimated hours wait . Food was excellent, the belly pork was the most tender I've ever eaten and the tofu delicious. Well recommended, and we'll be back on our next trip”
“Went here when I got caught in a storm on my bike. Run by the loveliest people, all so friendly and keen to help. Everyone in the cafe was talking to each other and it has a really nice community vibe! Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.”
“A little gem in the heart if Dereham. Excellent home cooked food, very good value and the staff are friendly and happy.”
“Come here routinely for a morning coffee with friends. Prices are a bit costly (I believe they had a price increase recently) and mugs are on the smallish side but the atmosphere is always lovely and everyone is very friendly which makes up for it and has us a returning customer!”
“We visited ‘The Bird’ during a stay with family, it was brilliant. Fantastic menu in a spacious and beautiful restaurant/bar. The staff were without exception friendly, polite and attentive to all our requests. It was a pleasure to be there and without doubt be returning. Only problem is we live in Kent so will come back when we can.”
“Tried a full English breakfast today. Absolutely excellent. Great value at £7.50 (tea & coffee included) I will definitely be going back there again”
“Fantastic café/ restaurant. Food was hot , well presented, empty plates all round, good prices. Definitely worth a visit if you dont want fish n chips.”
“busy but i don’t blame them, the most loveliest service and food, highly recommend☺️”
“Great food and service. Shabby chic feel. Taken over where House left off. Highly recommend.”
“Traditional English cafe experience. I had a bumper full English vegetarian breakfast and a mug of tea. Really good. Friendly welcome from the staff and the price is alright. Probably not the place to take someone on your first date.”
“Lovely cafe with exceptional service. A group of us with babies have met at the cafe twice now, and we’re always met with friendly faces. It’s hard finding baby friendly places to meet in Norwich, but this place goes beyond to make your visit comfortable. The food is great, just a shame about the limited dairy free options but easy enough to navigate around with a plentiful menu.”
“Easy to find as it’s just off the road, a bit noisy with traffic zooming by but who cares it was nice to sit outdoors and eat a deliciously huge veggie breakfast with nice touches like braised vine tomatoes, spinach and pepper . The waitresses were really friendly and served us quickly and efficiently.”
“Normally excellent. My husband and I visited last Saturday 4/11 at 12 noon. I had a breakfast my husband had burger chips and peas. The table was cleared for us to sit down it was not wiped. My bacon was tough, sausages not very nice,my husband left most of his. It also was only warm. We go there regularly and we're very disappointed. We were wondering if it had been taken over. We did not recognise any of the Staff. Maybe it was just a bad day I don,t know.”
“We’d walked along the river from Oulton Broad (10 miles). Had lunch in town and bought a few essentials, before heading for the station. With 40 minutes to wait, we’ve rested our feet and ordered a coffee each from the station cafe. Great customer service, great coffee.”
