“Great place to go with the family, been here a few times now to the point where we bought a season pass. Always clean and tidy, staff are always friendly and seem happy to work there. Habitats for the animals are as natural as they can be and they all look healthy and happy. Overall a great day out! The light show each year is great as well! Would recommend going to that, the family loved it”
“Great place to take the little ones. You'll need a full day to take it all in but you won't regret it! Tons to see & do plus the kids get the chance to learn more about wildlife and conservation.”
“Simply wonderful! Whether you’re exploring by boat or enjoying a hike, the Broads National Park is breath-taking. The scenery is peaceful yet full of life, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. If you haven’t been, then I'd highly recommend you visit; because it’s an unforgettable experience.”
“Stunning little cafe in the lanes. Great food, you can book a table on their website for busier times, however we walked in without a booking, no problems at all! Really cool staff. A must for breakfast or lunch if you are in Norwich.”
“Very happy Nicky knew exactly what I wanted”
“We were 5 for lunch and ordered 2 starters to share and 1 main each. Incredible Italian food - everything well prepared, delicious and large portions. More than enough food for everyone (we didn’t even had space for dessert). As starters: Burrata, fig, rocket & almond pesto, honey focaccia and Beef carpaccio. As mains: - (1) Parmesan Agnolotti, Tuscan summer truffle - (3) Tagliolini, shellfish bisque, sea herbs, basil & bottarga - (1) Ondine, lamb shoulder ragu, rosemary pangrattato & salted ricotta Very nice environment, elegant and well decorated. Staff were nice and attentive. They easily accommodate us for Sunday lunch however I recommend to book in advance.”
“Cool place, great food, chilled atmosphere. Beef brisket was amazing and the selection of craft beer is good too with some locally sourced stuff in the spotlight with the redwell brewing stuff also. Can’t go wrong here for about £30 for 2 couple”
“This is great place to go for some top quality food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Came here on a Wednesday and had the all you can eat chicken and ribs etc. Service was very quick and the food was awesome. I will definitely be coming back very soon.”
“We popped in today on a mission regarding my mum and dad and had lunch while we were here. I had the Brie, Bacon and Cranberry Ciabatta, which was delicious and my son had the White Horse burger, which he genuinely felt was the best burger he had ever eaten. He also said the coleslaw was worth going for on its own.”
“We had the 2 x course Sunday roast, £32 per head. Fabulous food - I had roast beef and chocolate peanut butter dessert.. one of the best meals I've ever had. Book early as it's very popular.”
“This is by far the best chip shop i have ever been too! Curry sauce was incredible, chips perfect! The bigfoot sausage was amazing and literally the tastiest saveloy ever! On our next visit from London we will definitely be back!”
“Brunch with hubby! Came across here by accident and was so pleased we did ☺️ fantastic food and coffee great little stop with a quirky side to it ☺️”
“Very cosy. Liked the vibe and food. We all gone for the same “American pancakes”. It was delicious.”
“Friendly helpful staff, great food and easy parking”
“Can't comment on the food as have had rolls etc... The rest is perfect. Friendly to everyone and this includes trans /LGBTQIA+ Owners friendly and run the pub appropriately.”
“Five of us had a lovely meal and a lovely time at the Fox & Hounds on a trip to Norfolk. We chose it for our evening meal because it had good reviews, and were happy to be able to have our booking accepted quite late in the day. We ate in one of their garden pods, which was fantastic for us as a group of five, one of whom finds taking part in conversation in noisy places challenging at times. In our own little pod/shed, with fairy lights, plenty of space, nice table and chairs, we had a lovely convivial evening. The service was great, very friendly staff looked after us well, and the food was fantastic. Outside in the garden a group were enjoying the warm evening, singing along with some music being played by a DJ. We could hear and enjoy the music and the frivolity without it being a nuisance, more of a pleasure! We all really enjoyed our meals, the menu was varied and good for all of us - I really enjoyed my very tasty vegan burger, and also the cheesecake. If we lived nearer, we'd be back!”
“Lovely pub. We've been for food on several occasions and it's been great every time. This time we came for a family Christmas lunch and it couldn't have been better so I had to post. Delicious food, delightful staff and a lovely cosy atmosphere.”
“Came in for a quick brunch. Made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Had a bacon sandwich, and honestly it was the best bacon sandwich I've ever had. My partner had eggs and avocado on toast and said that was great too. Really friendly staff, and although we didn't have anything fancy, what we did have was excellent. Great place.”
“Fantastic classic breakfast, especially the sausage and hash brown. Large portion so good value for the money. Shame we don't live here or would go regularly. Friendly service too.”
“Dog friendly lovely cafe. Freshly made scones for us today - warm and great. Coffee was tasty. Plenty of choice of food. Seating inside and out. Dogs allowed inside.”
“Me and partner went in last night (Saturday) for first time. The food was tremendous, very tasty and great value, we even brought half my partner’s home which she has just had for Sunday tea. I have attended the 2 big Turkish restaurants in Norwich Gem and Haggle and this place was as good if not better and will be my go to place in future for Turkish food”
“My Daughter was telling me about this cafe so we dropped in for a coffee and a pot of tea with some lovely cake on offer extremely nice and friendly staff highly recommended”
“Good food good price good service ,what more could you want”
“Great cafe in centre of Norwich. Excellent coffee, smooth taste with rich aroma in large mugs. Croissants are fresh and deliciously buttery too. Plus free WiFi and comfy places to sit make this an ideal place to do some work, catch up on emails or, better still, meet friends or even clients for a relaxed chat.”
“Superb coffee shop serving excellent well priced food and drinks. Lovely well presented environment.”
“A real quality specialty coffee. It was busy in here, but the staff ensured the quality didn't drop. Will defo visit here again when I'm next in Norwich.”
“Amazing food, great people and very generous portions. The cakes are put of this world! Definitely will be coming back and very reasonably priced I would say! Thank you”
“Wonderful little coffee shop. Everything here is home made and delicious. Soups, sausage rolls and cakes are just lovely. A real gem in Magdalen Street - great place to spend a quiet half hour.”
“Stopped for a quick lunch on the way through Hingham. Despite clearly being busy we were seated and served very promptly. Staff were friendly, prices were good and the buck rarebit was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back next time we're that way.”
“We had booked a table for two on the occasion of my birthday, but didn't really know what to expect. At first, we couldn't actually find the place, despite being guided by Google maps, because it's tucked away on the first floor of a building and with only a rather non-descript sign outside. When entering the building, we were asked whether we had a reservation, and when going upstairs and entering the place, it became clear that they don't really need to advertise their presence outside, as it clearly seems hugely popular amongst people who know about it. In a way, it felt like entering a VIP club... The restaurant is much smaller than I had anticipated, and at first we felt a bit disappointed at being led to a small high table in the centre of the room. But when we realised what a special place it is, all hint of a disappointment instantly vanished. Meat cannot be selected from an ordinary menu, but must be ordered off handwritten boards, and there is only a very limited number of each cut, clearly labelled from which farm they come from. It's all about local produce, quality and presentation. This is a very special place, very different from ordinary steak houses, and it turned out to be the perfect place for my birthday meal!”
