“We visited yesterday 09-08-25 for lunch after turning up to surprise the grandchildren who were holidaying at the Haven Caravan site down the road . A nice relaxed atmosphere where we were soon found a table for 8 and our waitress Hazel looked after us brilliantly, the restaurant is clean and tidy as well are the toilets, we had a mixture of foods all of which were very good indeed. I had the 10oz Ribeye tasty and cooked to perfection. For afters Hazel recommended the black forest gateau and she wasn't wrong a beautiful slice of heaven on a plate. I would like to thank Hazel so much for making us feel welcomed and looking after us all so well.”

“I decided to book our Christmas works do at the woodman and they were brilliant with communication in the weeks leading up. I was impressed on the night by the service of Dan and the waitresses who were super accommodating as we were a large party. The carvery was delicious and were pleasantly surprised by a live band which added to the atmosphere. Am hoping they’ll have us again next year :)”

“This review is for the lovely gentleman who served me this morning (29/5). He offered me recommendations on how my coffee order could taste better and he wasn't wrong! Best coffee I have ever had. Yes Starbucks is expensive but I only have it as an occasional treat and it is well worth it when you receive such great service and yummy coffee.”

The food is consistently good and well stocked, and there’s plenty of choice so everyone can find something they like. Staff are friendly and helpful, even when it’s busy. It can get a bit hectic when it’s full, but that’s honestly to be expected given how popular it is — and it’s a sign they’re doing something right rather than a negative. Overall, great value, good quality, and a solid all-round breakfast experience. Easy 5 stars.”

“Myself and friends recently had a celebratery meal. What i will say the eating experience was 5 star from when we entered and purchased our drinks to when we had our order taken to the standard of food, presentation, cooked to perfection. We did ask who cook our meal and it was conveyed to us a young chef called Kyle. All I will add is young chef will go far, he is an asset to your restaurant. We will certainly be returning. Many thanks to all the staff but in particular Kyle.”

“We have been to Butterflies Coffee Shop on various and can’t recommend it highly enough. The food is excellent and the staff are always helpful although they are usually very busy. It cheers my day when I see the youngsters serving with such confidence. Always smiling. Definitely a place to stop and rest after looking around the garden centre, camping and leisure etc etc.”

I ordered a king prawn chow mein last night but the restaurant accidentally sent a plain chow mein, I called them and even though they were about to close they made a king prawn chow mein and delivered it. 10/10 will always order from here now. “Was there on 1st Jan. A quiet midday. They could only offer breakfast stuff. It was prepared rather quickly. Tasted fine and portion was reasonable. Really friendly staff. But true that the cutlery could be cleaner. It's like the moment you pick it up and touch it you know it isn't right.”
