Best Costa I’ve had in ages, milk not burnt! If only everyone actually frothed to the temperature they’re meant to!
Had to try this Costa, but how disappointing! Very slow service, from a silent robot-like barista; nothing wrong with coffee though. No trays, no napkins, no cups unless you accept paper as a cup. Quite unhelpful when I asked for a napkin. Oh well, you live and learn.
01.10.2023 Sunday at 11.30am, not very busy at all. Lots of seating. Small screens for children to play on. Can charge car downstairs. Post office behind Costa till, M&S food as well. 2 self pay machines. Costa woman does post office till too! Good meeting place without having to go into the city.
It's a Costa Coffee, like thousands of others. But this one is the only one I've ever visited that can't accept Costa gift cards for payment, won't give loyalty beans for purchased drinks, or give free drinks earned with loyalty beans. It's obviously not a priority for Costa or the franchisee to fix because it has been like this since it opened. Shame, because otherwise this is a good place to charge the car but the verbal exchange with the rather testy staff isn't great (in fairness, the staff must have this conversation hundreds of times a day and it must frustrate them as much as their customers)
Shocking - Cheese and Ham toastie made with value white bread and luncheon-meat (not even ham) - everything is served in disposable wrappers/cups and NO Costa app as apparently because they’re a franchise, they don’t have a scanner.
Not a clue why the stars are so low. Everyone is super friendly. I go pretty much every morning before work. App works fine.
Girl on till made a not funny joke when i said can I have a flat white and what ever my friend is having ... she replied that's helpful lol with a smile ... which I thought was barefaced rude .... I said that's rude and she apologised but frankly it seemed insincere and rehearsed ... and said for her own benefit not mine. This isn't the first time I've had problems with the staff in here being rude or having poor customer service skills
First time visit yesterday , ordered the latest toblerone coffee that looked delicious on the photo , got served something that resembled a flat white , took it back and asked for the cream etc , got cream but no sprinkles etc , when I spend nearly £4 on a coffee I do expect it to look like the one on the menu board , disappointing, plus don't accept the app which I find odd.
Slow , didn’t purge steam wand when steaming the milk so leftover milk residue went into my coffee, THEY DONT TAKE COSTA APP. Went in thinking we could use 2 free drinks however you cannot.
