“Recently had a great experience at Copper Beach, and I must give a huge shout out to the manager Dan Marche. When we walked in, Dan made sure that we felt right at home. What really made the visit perfect was his attention and knowledge. I wasn’t sure about what to choose from the fairly extensive drink menu and he was right there for me. He listened to my preferences and recommended the drink that he thought would be ideal for me, and it truly complemented my entire meal. So it’s pretty obvious that Dan’s in charge of running the joint but also sets really high standards when it comes to customer service and personal attention. Thanks, Dan, for making our visit memorable. This is a top-notch establishment.”

“This was our second visit to The Lamb Inn, and it was just as enjoyable as the first! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the chicken wings so tasty and perfectly cooked. The staff were helpful and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A great place to relax and enjoy a lovely meal!”

“This was a grand pub for drinking, with wooden banisters and linings around glass making for a pretty design! Counter is well kept and staff were friendly, lighting has a good number of different lamps too. I had a Corona Extra, sitting comfortable at one of the smaller seats here!”

“The building is showing some signs of needing conservation but it is a pleasing environment in the bar/restaurant. The bedrooms are well laid out with modern decoration with impressive en-suites. The food is very good with a varied menu and good wine list.”

“Went in to order T-shirt fir grandson's birthday. I had a photo of the one he wanted so I thougjt it would be easy! Gosh I never knew Next had sooo many T-shirts available. The sales clerk, Koby was extremely helpful and patient until the specific T-shirt was found. An order was placed Such a happy shopper. Thank you Next for employing such lovely staff.”

“Lovely meal, very reasonable price and good service. The freshly cooked carvery was delicious and the turkey was moist!!! I was so surprised at how brilliant the food was (especially as it was absolutely packed) and we were sat at our table almost immediately. I will be going back regularly! ☺️”

They’re absolutely lovely—Chloe, Ryan, Patrick, Shan, Ron, Ella, and Lucia always greet me with the kindest smiles and such a warm, welcoming attitude. What truly stands out is how personal and genuine the service is. Every single one of them knows my order by heart—no need to say a word. The moment I walk through the door, they’re already on it. It’s like a little moment of joy every day knowing I’ll be taken care of with such care and consistency. This team creates such a friendly and familiar environment—it really feels like a community, not just a coffee shop. I genuinely look forward to coming in each day. “Our first time here and after you've climbed the many stairs it has a great warming atmosphere we ordered our food and it was all very tasty and fresh even the coleslaw was just made for us and you could tell I had the ribs and they was very nice and the BBQ sauce was nice too the skin on fries was great too, overall give it 8/10”

“Popped in while I was waiting to go somewhere else. There was a constant stream of customers but it wasn't too busy. There were plenty of seats available and I sat at a table for 3 with nice comfy seats. The atmosphere was quite and relaxed. There wasn't a queue to get served. The girl serving me was nice and helpful. I had porridge with a little jar of honey and a cup of tea. It came to £5.55 which I thought was quite a lot. The tea was OK, enough in the pot for 2 cups, but the porridge was a bit thick and stodgy, even after I added the honey and the left over milk.”

“We had a big uni group christmas meal and we were just amazed at how we were accommodated and the fact we had the whole venue to ourselves. Honestly the effort that was put in, not only to the food, but the decorations and how lovely the staff were made our night better than we could have imagined. We wanted to say a huge thank you and we could not recommend them more :)”

“Stayed here for work. The staff were lovely and so helpful, Jordan the manager was great and for two nights running I asked if I could stay again, first night my room was available, second night it wasn’t but he made sure that I had a really simple swap over. A little mishap on my behalf happened the first night and I couldn’t check in as it was 1am (late over run shift), completely my fault as it states no check ins after 10pm. The next day, Millie ensured I had a refund. Really nice food. Beautiful river to enjoy. Recommend.”

“Came in for lunch with my Nan & niece. The food was really good and the prices were more than reasonable. We were served by a really lovely lady who was super friendly and helpful called Ruby. She was so attentive and kind to my niece which doesn’t usually happen in many public houses, so it was a nice change. 5* customer service from Ruby, we will definitely be returning. “We had a great dinner! Service was wonderful - staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Thai music played, and the restaurant’s ambience is great for catch-up with friends, dates and even family dinners. Although some familiar dishes carried a slightly different flavour profile from what we were used to in Asia, it was still delicious and gives you a great spicy kick! (Non-spicy dishes are available too)”

“This B&B is a real gem. Convenient location, walking distance to the shops, market and restaurants. We parked at nearby St Andrews car park, a short walk away. Gorgeous, spacious interior – total luxury. Morag is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome in her home. We stayed in the Magnolia Tree room, which was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast featured warm croissants and berries prepared specifically for us at our chosen time to enjoy in our room. The whole building is impeccable and beautifully furnished.”

“I did not buy any food but I did buy their ultimate hot chocolate very nice. As I was part of a group they told me to go and sit with my group and they will bring it to me once it was ready, which they did, great service and the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. I do recommend using the cafe as there are great sitting areas. The toilets were perfectly clean.”
