“Lovely by the river. Well worth the trip to the pub. Friendly staff. Good food and drink.”
“Stopped in here prior to eating at the restaurant opposite. It was a Sunday lunchtime and the pub was starting to fill out. The service at the bar was very friendly and welcoming and they had a good selection of non-alcoholic beers. The Sunday food menu looked very appealing and had we not already been booked in elsewhere, we would definitely have eaten here - the roast dinners we saw being carried out from the kitchen looked amazing. We will hopefully return to try them out very soon.”
“Really nice place with amazing interior. Plenty of space and really welcoming and friendly staff. Good food at a decent price. I was a tiny bit disappointed with my Buttermilk chicken burger. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't amazing. Went with my daughter on father's day and got a free beer! The toilets are downstairs in what used to be the vaults and a couple of bits have been retained for character. Would definitely go again but would order something else. Easy to book online. Recommended.”
“Had such a fun night celebrating my friends birthday. Food was lovely and drinks excellent value for a Friday night. Service was top notch considering very busy with large tables for Christmas nights out. Thank you so much Naomi for looking after us. But all the staff there are a delight and always smiling. Great team.”
“Excellent food for a godd price. Staff were lovely, service was great. Would recommend!”
“Fantastic meal, Sunday roast was superb”
“Fabulous service good food. Expensive but worth it. Good value as part of overnight stay on secret escapes. Beware service charge added to everything and large wine almost £14.”
“Stopped by to watch the football, seems like a popular pub. Food coming past smelt and looked great but we didn't eat. Loads of screens around the pub, even a few outside which we did hope to watch but sadly they didn't have audio outside. Good selection of drinks on tap and bar staff were friendly.”
“Great venue-ideal for the wedding after party. Safe garden for children and well lit when it got dark. Nice and cosy insides too and loved the decor. Staff efficient and friendly”
“Every so often I treat myself to one of their delicious fry ups. One of the best I’ve ever eaten. The speed of service is also great.”
“Brilliant local pub. Real ales, live music and food. Friendly atmosphere, quiz nights and social events. Dog friendly. All you need In a pub. Update Feb 2019: The pub has recently been completely refurbished inside and out and food is now available daily lunchtimes and evenings.”
“Fabulous food ,and amazing staff. A very good selection of beers and the best views too. Best to book a table for an incredible Sunday Roast.”
“This is a hidden surprise. It really did feel like a proper pub. There was a lovely atmosphere”
“We've just had a child's birthday party, hosted by Ryan and Ellie. A really great experience: enthusiastic, helpful and friendly staff, kids had a fantastic time. Even better than expected!”
“What a place!! Brilliant food, service and atmosphere. Really lovely staff and lively food. Obviously the meat, but the onion rings and fries were so well seasoned as well. Can't wait to come back again.”
“Had a friend visiting the area who couldn't wait to go to the beach so, after a stroll along the promenade we called into The Fig. They confirmed we could take our little dog in (to the rooftop area). The sun was shining and it was teatime so it was the perfect setting & view. Ordering was easy via the QR code on the table. Seats were comfy and not to crammed in. The food was amazing when it came out. Good portion size a fantastic flavours. I would have also sampled the cocktails...but I was driving! Next time I'll take the hubby and he can drive lol. Service was excellent too. Very friendly staff.”
“We had the fish and chips and one was gluten free. Both meals were superb, the gluten free batter was really lovely, you could not tell there was a difference. Would definately recommend especially if gluten free required.”
“We had a lovely fish & Chip lunch on Friday. The fish was amazing. Huge white chunky flakes. Lovely crispy batter. Chips & mushy peas. Staff always friendly. Make you feel really welcome.”
“Passing through town, stopped in for breckie. I was greeted by a wonderful team of ladies who treated me no different despite my dairy allergy. They made sure I felt at no fault or inconvenience from asking them to ensure the meal was free from dairy. They also checked up on me to which I informed them how great the meal was. As someone who regularly feels like a problem when eating out and mentioning my allergy, for once I did not. Impeccable service, food which could not be faulted, prices which do not dent the bank account. Could not recommend more. Thank you.”
“This is a lovely little place, the service is some of the best you will receive, so very accommodating. The cafe itself is extremely well put together and maintained to a high standard. My partner loves it here and this is her go to cafe in the whole of Wymondham. I recently had The coffee shop breakfast which is a good size and priced well, (I opted to not have the tomato which it would usually come with). My partner also tells me the coffee is second to none so it seems the place for that as well. Overall I highly recommend you check them out, I would rate the experience a 10/10.”
“Attended for the monthly tabletop gaming evening held on a Sunday and led by Liche games. A welcoming pub with friendly and helpful staff. It's a fantastic setting and a very well presented space.”
“Been coming to cherry tree from a child and juile has seen me grow up in the village! Still my Favourite pub! Love her homemade food!! Very friendly pub, even my house cat joey, comes with me to enjoy a evening out! Love her pie and fish and chips!”
“Good location, good food and incredible staff.”
“The exchange is a great addition to the city centre... Relaxed but with a bit of glamour! Lovely food and the staff are excellent, very professional and incredibly friendly.....”
“Very nice breakfast and Sunday lunch, extremely reasonable prices for such fresh food”
“A proper pub, that has it all good beers and drinks, good food, and a great atmosphere. Visited over last 14years and it stays traditional what a pub should be. Now live nearly 200 miles away and the first place we head for when in area. Just keep up the good work.”
“Superb pub. In recent years, the landlord has transformed this place into a true community hub for Lingwood. He's still improving the place incessantly and last I saw he was doing the masonry for the latest expansion by himself! Its very family friendly with good food and a nice selection of real ale from the nearby Humpty Dumpty brewery - I recommend Holt's Honey.”
“Fresh and clean facilities. Good coffee, food and play area. Perfect for working mums who need to work remotely whilst their child is content playing in a safe place. The play area is confined next to the cafe, making the cafe great for all, not just parents. The staff are really friendly too!”
“Lovely well make coffee today at Ziggy's. Enjoyed Flat Whites which were the right size and with a good strong flavour. Location is also dog friendly and accomodating. Pricing very good especially for this quality.”
