Always a great place to eat. Been there numerous times, and the food always arrives nice and hot, and good size portions. Good selection of beers. Cosy atmosphere with a log fire going in the cold weather.
Stopped in here prior to eating at the restaurant opposite. It was a Sunday lunchtime and the pub was starting to fill out. The service at the bar was very friendly and welcoming and they had a good selection of non-alcoholic beers. The Sunday food menu looked very appealing and had we not already been booked in elsewhere, we would definitely have eaten here - the roast dinners we saw being carried out from the kitchen looked amazing. We will hopefully return to try them out very soon.
Visited today for a roast with a friend. The roast dinners are served in very generous portions and the meat and veggies were of excellent quality and taste. Plenty of gravy too, for whom it may concern! The atmosphere in the pub is nice and relaxed and the decor fantastic. Clean and well laid out. A large selection of drinks are available and all items are excellent value for money, cheaper than average compared to similar establishments in and around Norwich. There is a small seating area at the front outside, and a nice little beer garden out the back. The staff are all very friendly and the service was 5 star. Looking forward to visiting again the future, thank you.

This week I visited the white horse at Trowse My friend have been telling me to go for Sunday lunch You have to book it gets very busy The roast can be bought at 2 different sizes small or regular I had roast beef and my friends had We chicken the beef melted in my mouth we counted the veg there was 7 I have had a lot off roasts but never before 7 . Yorkshire pudding top notch the one let was c the roast potatoes were a bit hard A I could not eat dessert I was to full

Pass on food as had hairs in mine on 2 visits, no hair nets, and family around bar with covid and wasn't isolating bit upsetting.. well all I can say u are so fake pam and was refused entry as didn't like any thing said about u our yours.. food is great but don't complain about anything if not u won't be welcome back...
Went on a walk around the lake the other day and was looking forward to a well deserved drink by the fire... Nice staff and nice drinks but had to sit outside as they don't allow dogs inside. We stayed for 1 drink and the fire was roaring when I came in to order at the bar. Welcoming and helpful staff
Lovely traditional village pub! Great food brilliant staff and a pleasant flower display :) Great pub all round.
