“The Last Pub Standing in Norwich is a unique and lively venue with a rich historical backdrop. It's known for its trendy, yet welcoming atmosphere, blending modern décor with a sense of the city's past. The pub offers a solid selection of craft beers, cocktails, and eclectic food options, appealing to a wide range of tastes. Its vibrant social scene, combined with occasional live events, makes it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The name hints at its resilience, standing the test of time in a city known for its many historic pubs.”
“A very welcoming pub ran by Steve and Karen. Both are friendly and welcoming, customer base is friendly too. Great beer choice with real ale a specialty. Not to be overlooked”
“I arranged my Dad's retirement party at The Murderers and we received excellent service. From making the initial query over the phone to the evening itself, nothing was too much trouble. We had the cafe bar area as a private space for our party and chose to have a hot and cold buffet. Requirements for vegetarian and halal food were accommodated. There is a wide selection of beers and ales available, and a great choices of other drinks, which pleased my Dad and his guests. The cafe bar area was a lovely space in which to hold a party. Highly recommend!”
“Awesome little pub. And a lovely carvery too. Staff are all friendly and helpful.”
“How lovely to have somewhere to go where the food is just brilliant and not just your normal pub grub that you seem to get in every pub these days. The meals we had here were really lovely. All fresh food, cooked especially for you. The food not only tastes good but is cooked to perfection and not looks good to!”
“Great pub in Norwich, good selection of beers, seating inside and some outside at the back”
“Fabulous find! Brilliant range of beers, cask conditioned and gravity poured. Perfect beer drinking location. Will definitely be back.”
“A beer festival every day with a wide range of quality real ales on offer. Good sports tv shown and always a popular pub.”
“We visited The Cock Inn after getting a voucher through our door. Service was fast and efficient, food was hot and delicious. Ordered via the website to our table, drinks were with us so fast after ordering. No complaints.”
“Have to admit, looking at it as we drove past we weren't expecting great things but I'll happily say we wrong. The Sunday lunch was great, tasty and plenty of food at a reasonable price. The staff were lovely and helpful. All in all a great Sunday lunch”
“Fantastic food everything was home made chicken was tender and juicy the chips were cooked in fresh oil and the salads were delicious too. A* would definitely come again”
“We had a fantastic holiday here. Absolutely amazing location. Our little dog Jasper had the time of his life with the beach just a few steps away. Highly recommended.”
“A fantastic meal for the 3rd time this week.even though I asked if it would be possible to have something that wasn't on the menu. Great service always with a smile and nothing is to much trouble. The pub it self is welcoming comfortable, clean and lots of facilities, like pool table, darts.even a small pool in the garden and really good sounds on the JB. All in all couldn't recommend enough. A must visit if you looking for somewhere to have a meal or just a drink.”
“Great Restaurant It's a relatively old restaurant. But it's not a problem at all. It has survived so long it means it's quite competitive locally in my opinion. The environment is cosy and rustic but well cleaned. It provides extra seats for the table for two customers to put their stuff. Tables are not too close to each other that make every customer have more personal space. The menu is massive. It took us a while to make decisions. The food was in generous size. The lamb fell off the bone, very tender. It was enough for a male adult. The rice was well flavoured, I think it was cooked with broth. The seafood was well cooked. The chips were generous amount and hot. The staff are nice and helpful. Looking forward to the next visit.”
“Can’t believe we’ve never been here before! The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious – decent portion sizes and good prices! We came here for lunch and would happily return to experience what it’s like in the evening.”
“Absolute mad house, kids loved it. If you like sipping a pint, and be between a scarlet macaw and a parakeet having a sound battle, this is the place to go. Great place for a very generous meal, and for the kids to be entertained. My only, only recommendation is they get some bigger tables in. I was surprised for such a spacious place they didn't have many tables suitable for parties or 5+, and there is so much room for it.”
“Great food. Came early with my children. Portions were decent and the whole meal was priced reasonably.”
“Great food huge portions couldn’t eat it all, Beautiful restaurant inside and out. well worth a visit if you are in lowestoft”
“Love the food here.Always great and the staff are lovely and go out of their way to help. Our favourite restaurant in lowestoft”
“Myself, my Mum and my 12 year old daughter came to the Orangery for a belated Mothers Day afternoon tea last month and we had a lovely time. The surroundings and grounds are stunning and the food was really tasty. It is quite pricey at £33 a head, however okay for a one off treat. The staff were all very attentive, friendly and very helpful. We sat in the outdoor terraced area which due to the time of year was covered with a marquee, unfortunately it wasn't heated at the time we were there like it stated on the website so we were a tiny bit chilly, however it wasn't too bad once the doors were closed. All in all we had a fabulous afternoon and we look forward to returning :)”
“Didn't eat food, so can't comment. First ever visit to this pub for a live music gig on Saturday. Great atmosphere, amazing wall of fascinating rock posters. Good drinks from the bar. Friendly staff and locals. A wooden dance floor area was a real bonus. Brilliant, fun night with the talented Glamtastics. We'll certainly go to this great venue again.”
“An enjoyable lunch to bring relief from the shopping! The soup and hot food were tasty and all piping hot! Very friendly service. The basement has a wonderful cheese and deli counter, we bought lots there afterwards.”
“Three excellent ales, all spot on. Brains Mild, Lacons Legacy and Adams Broadside. Enjoyed a lovely game of darts and a Thai chicken añd potato curry.”
“One of the best pubs in the city, typically great beers and always unusual ones even if they're not your thing, no Stella here thankfully. Always playing a good playlist and the staff have never been anything but kind and generous.”
“Great, cheap diner. The embodiment of 'cheap and cheerful', staff were very friendly with a lot of polite banter being thrown between each other and customers. Food was very decent for basic food but the price is very reflective of this, we were more than satisfied that we received value for money. The service was very quick, and all our food (meals for 6) came out at the same time, some variation in the meals too. I can recommend for a meal to fill you up or for a quick bite.”
“Strangely located attached to a garden centre, but don't let that put you off. Seating and tables were basic but adequate. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. I had the mixed grill and I have never seen so much meat on a plate, and it was all excellently cooked...my medium steak was actually cooked as medium too. We were a group of 18 people having various dishes, and all had plenty and all enjoyed their meals. I would definitely go again and I would make sure I was just as hungry beforehand as I was on this occasion.”
“We had an excellent early lunch today. Friendly efficient service and wonderful quality food in a calm, clean and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff for providing us with a thoroughly enjoyable experience.”
“Just wanted to say a MASSIVEthank you to you and all your staff at the Artisan coffee shop this morning. What a fabulous experience. Albeit very busy due to Christmas fare. Everyone had a smile Everyone was cheerful and very accommodating. Your cheese scones were amazing never seen the likes before. Keep on doing what your doing. Highly recommended.”
“Good pub, nice people, sadly was a bit overwhelming for me, very busy and lots of noise, but if you like a busy, friendly pub, this is a good place to go”
