“Popped in for a pint while passing by with the family and within a couple of minutes we were served, greeted and found a seat in the garden. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. With the vibe of a traditional local pub with talkative locals. With a dartboard and pool table, I'm sure the weekends could be lively and interesting. Although they had Madri As a larger drinker, there weren't a great deal of options on tap for me. But plenty of Ales. (By all means, this wouldn't put me off visiting again ) The garden had plenty of kids' toys and balls. Considering not many pubs make that much effort when it comes to kids so this is another reason for us to visit again. Overall we all had a Great experience.”
“Myself and my partner went to Cremer's Meadow Nature Reserve then wanted a bite to eat and having googled where to eat we decided to come here. We both had a Steak bake which were delicious once warmed along with a lovely cup of Cappuccino. The restaurant is upstairs and has plenty of room. It also has a big balcony with views of the boatyard which doubles as a smoking area, plenty of chairs and tables and a nice garden for the warmer months, again dog friendly with a little pond. There is also a car park and toilets, you can also take food away. This place only opened last year!.”
“I enjoyed a slice of cheesecake and a cappuccino with an old friend today. The café was bustling with hungry customers, and the friendly, accommodating staff added to the welcoming atmosphere. Although finding a free parking space is unlikely—unless you have a blue badge—due to its city centre location, I opted to park in the nearby Castle Quarter car park, which cost me £3.50 for just under an hour. Overall, this is a very pleasant and popular eatery situated in the beautiful Victorian Royal Arcade shopping mall.”
“Wonderful coffee at AMT coffee, Rachel and Dawn were so lovely and helpful!”
“Staff are amazing, very polite very accommodating (even when I lost a ball off my nose ring) food was lovely and the coffee was brillant. Lovely setting too”
“Such friendly staff here today (Thu 30 Aug 2018). Had a nice chat, kept the queue moving - all-round excellent customer service. Lovely selection of hot and cold food. The cheese and ham croissant I had was toasted perfectly.”
“The lady on the till was lovely and helpful and the food was awesome. I had a sweet potato curry. (Which I usually don't like) and the cakes was yummy. Just wish I didn't feel like my family was being rushed for a table though because people was standing there staring at us as we waited for a table!”
“I followed google maps to avoid a queue on the A146 while driving to Lowestoft and saw the Swan. I thought I would chance a meal. The welcome was great, atmosphere good and food very tasty. Well worth the small diversion if passing.”
“The Belle Vue is back! Been waiting for the roasts to return! Not disappointed ! It was delicious . Proper crispy roast potatoes, quality gravy, vegetables. My lamb was so tasty, with homemade mint sauce and my son had Pork with extra crackling! We couldn’t fault a thing! Thoroughly recommend to anybody will definitely be going back!”
“Forget stiff tablecloths. Gonzo’s in Norwich is pure, unadulterated cool. It’s got that effortlessly funky, late-night energy—the kind of place where the music is as good as the food, and the atmosphere just works. Seriously, the vibe is a 10/10, If you go, you must order the BBQ Trays. This is low-and-slow done right. Think smoke-ring perfection, meat that surrenders with a whisper, and a sauce that actually tastes like it was made with love, not bottled in a factory. It’s generous, messy (in the best way), and totally satisfying. This isn't just a meal; it’s an experience in American smokehouse excellence. And finally, the mega service. Attentive, genuinely friendly, and clearly passionate about what they’re doing. Our drinks were always topped up, the recommendations were spot-on, and everything felt smooth, despite how busy they are. Gonzo's isn't just serving great BBQ; they're serving a great time. Killer food, next-level service, and a vibe that makes you want to stay all night. Get the tray. Stay for the party. Best birthday meal ever.”
“We had a very romantic valentines day meal here. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the setting was very chilled. The wine was good and the food was tasty and just enough to satisfy us without making us feel full. Would totally recommend!”
“One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The Steam Packet nails that rare balance between cosy and elevated. The pub’s atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a dining room that feels intimate but never cramped – the art and overall vibe are spot on. The open kitchen adds to the charm, giving you a glimpse into the action. The food? Outrageously good. We had the langoustines with wild garlic – unforgettable – followed by a perfectly cooked steak and some of the best chips I’ve had in ages. Their home lager was crisp and refreshing, honestly one of the best I’ve tried in a long time, and the wine list is equally impressive. What really sets this place apart is the portion size and the cooking style: generous, honest plates that are simple in the best way – full of flavour, creativity, and care. The Steam Packet is absolutely worth a visit”
“Lovely place. Food and owners are amazing.....”
“Whether popping in for a Sunday roast or a mid week meal, this pub is a hidden gem. Whilst from the front and bar you see an old fashioned pub, the locals make it a welcoming pub, and the food is always excellent.”
“Genuine pub with very gentle owner and waitress. Not a partying place! But well for romance or good talks with friends.”
“Great atmosphere, busy yet staff on the ball and serve quickly, good range of drinks and cocktails.”
“Wonderful room for three days over the weekend. We were attending a family wedding in the locality. The bar service was excellent, staff were attentive, informative and exceptionally polite. Our room was spacious and contained everything we required for the duration of the stay. Rooms were very clean and the service was amazing.”
“Such a lovely place. Always stop here on our way when Grays Athletic play against Wroxham. Great service, cheap prices and wonderful staff. What more could you want?”
“Had a wonderful meal here for my nephew's graduation. The service was good, the food amazing and its a lovely place with a great atmosphere. Traditional and authentic. It was just a pity they refused to serve a 125ml glass of wine to me, but that was the only issue.”
“Had a very nice meal here while staying in Wroxham. We reserved a table for 6 online for mid week dining. We had an indoor table overlooking the river. Our server was excellent and attentive and everyone enjoyed their entrees and desserts.”
“Great decor and location next to river, cocktail's quite sweet and not at a top level but came here for food which was very nice and plenty on plate for what you pay. Staff very pleasant, attentive and helpful. Unable to score on atmosphere as was a late lunch so was a bit quiet, would definitely return for an evening meal.”
“Management and staff were wonderful. We arrived on boat badly met by the owner with a smile who went above and beyond to help us. We had a wonderful meal and the owner brought out our granddaughter’s birthday cake out. Nothing was to much trouble.”
“New venue for our pool team, free table, free food, great new players, brilliant banter with whole pub.”
“The best cooked breakfast I've ever had! I had the full English, which I upgraded to large and it was amazing. Highly recommend”
“Fab little find for an overnight stop. Annex room was clean and fresh. Lovely welcoming pub, great menu selection friendly helpful staff. I had liver and bacon and it was fantastic.”
“Absolutely fantastic place and my new favorite in Norwich. The food is scrumdiddlydumptious, beer and cider great and staff are fast, friendly and just what you need on your day out. I like that not only the food is amazing but it's also different to your standard English pub menu that tends to be same everywhere else. Perfect for meat, seafood and potato lovers and has veg options too. Dog friendly and as it has the baby changing board it's also baby friendly.”
“Went for dinner as part of a large group and my goodness I was glad we went here. The food was absolutely delicious, filling, and for the quality very well priced. The service was flawless, very prompt, friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be back again.”
“Extremely warm and pleasant atmosphere, with good prompt service and delicious food. The sticky toffee pudding was enormous, could absolutely serve 2-3 without feeling short-changed. All food we had was incredible.”
“Amazing place filled with wonderful happy people. A good mix of regulars and normal traffic. Amazing food and a. Cracking selection of drinks.”
“We had always intended to stop here on the way to Norwich but never did. We did eventually stop for food on the way to north Norfolk. We’re so glad we did, lovely atmosphere, lovely service, dogs were allowed in the garden and the food is proper home cooked and lots of it! Will definitely go back!”
